We arrived and saw the great view accompanied by shrieking & beeping smoke detectors with dying batteries. No luck getting a hold of service on the phone so I bought two 9 Volt batteries at CVS across the street for $13.75. I had to remove one of the batteries by standing on a dining room chair - not a very safe thing to do. Not wanting to risk my safety further I decided to leave the ceiling detector inoperable by not inserting its battery. There was one other detector elsewhere in the unit that was working. The next day a rep called and said I could get a reimbursement for the batteries if I emailed them the receipt which I had thrown out at CVS so I was told I couldn’t get my money back. Gee, thanks. The master bathroom shower had mold and mildew in the grout which was awful. Why wasn’t it scrubbed and cleaned beforehand? Neither bathroom had a reserve roll of toilet paper in them so we had to buy some ($8.00 at CVS) which is ridiculous as any bathroom has at least one roll of toilet paper in reserve under the sink. We shouldn’t have to call maintenance/service for that. They should’ve already been there. C’mon, owners! We cooked a roast in the oven and found that the oven light didn’t work so we couldn’t read the thermometer we had placed in the roast and had to find a flashlight to read it without removing the roast which was not just inconvenient but showed maintenance neglect on the part of the owners. The pantry has virtually nothing in it so we had to buy salt, pepper, garlic powder and oil. In ten years we’ve never seen a Sea Colony kitchen pantry so bare. When we sat down to eat at the coffee table, it was unstable and a glass of water spilled as a result. Upon inspection, one of the table legs appeared to have been hastily reattached after having been broken in the past. This shoddy repair was more maintenance neglect. Being there in the winter, we relied upon the heat. Unfortunately the heater was in a closet adjacent to the dining/living room which was ridiculously loud every time it cycled on (every 5-10 minutes) as it didn’t have a door but rather cheap window coverings (wooden slats) which did nothing to subvert the noise. It made stating in the main living area very unpleasant as we had to constantly raise and lower the TV volume whenever in there. The sliding garbage drawer in the kitchen wouldn’t close (was like that when we got there). There was a Keurig coffee machine there with only one pod. Had to buy those too. Usually, we find the bedrooms have blackout shades so you don’t have to wake up with the sunrise. That wasn’t the case with this unit. That the kitchen, baths and furniture appeared to have been updated last in the 1990’s wasn’t an issue as we could see the decor in the photos before we rented. What was at issue were all the things mentioned above. That said, we loved the view and appreciated the electric front door lock (no keys needed), but would never rent this unit again, regardless of price.

We loved the close location to the ocean of this property, and beautiful view from balcony. Check in and check out was easy, but the cleanliness was not up to par. There was hair on the walls and in the bathtub of the master Bathroom, there was a 4 inch hair on one of the wash cloths, dust on all the fan blades and on top of the TV. In the rental agreement, it stated no smoking but on our third day the condo next to us 508 was the owner who smoked on the balcony which forced us to close our sliding glass door… In which we love to keep open to hear the waves. Also he parked in our only one parking spot underneath the building and 507 and which luckily his number was on the green pass in the windshield which enabled us to knock on his door and tell him that he needed to move his car.

Nice updates. Great views and location within the complex. Housekeeping was not great- didn't clean glass doors or mirrors. Wrong sheets for beds was quickly corrected. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation.

Great vacation spot
Great vacation spot
507 was located in a great area. We had a great view to the ocean. It was right next door to the indoor pool and the exercise room. We could walk across the street to the stores if we needed anything. The weather wasn't great for us but we were able to do a lot of activities . I recommend this place as a great vacation area!
