There was 3 live cockroaches in my room it was so late instead of leaving the hotel i had to settle for another room.

Pleasant

+ location - it is at the edge of not very safe district, but with 3 mins you can get to Powell street, which is great. + you can leave your luggage after check-out and take it later

- Chaos in the kitchen - mostly it's guest fault but also tables weren't cleaned very often after each guest. - lock in the door didn't work properly, I had to close it from the "inside" and then just slam the door.

Breakfast was good, central location.

Room lock was tricky and even reception didnt know how to close the door. My bedings were dirty i had to ask for new sheats and change the bed myself. Many homless people near the hostel. You cant leave the car on the street as its unsafe.

everything was clean

toilets are located in the hallway on the floor. very small showers. no shampoo and shower gel. small towels only for hands and face. for breakfast only cereal, bread and Nutella

Very pleasant stay.

They facilities were quite good and the staff are wonderful. Everything was pretty clean and pleasant and definitely value for your money.

The location is close to the BART station and all the interesting locations in downtown San Francisco but it also means that your wading through a lot of homeless people when you're coming and going. Thankfully they pretty much mind their own business if you mind yours. Itas not for the inexperienced traveler.

Value for money, but don’t expect too much.

The facilities in the room were ok, with the fridge, hair dryer and microwave. The hostel also offered free breakfast (toast, cereal, waffkles) which was actually quite good in the communal kitchen. Compared to the costs elsewhere, this was a reasonable price to stay.

The roof was rather small, with the entire building needing an refurbish. Paint was pealing off, the shower needed updated (but was generally clean) and radiators were almost hanging off the wall.
