Die Stadt muss reagieren!

Eine wunderbare Stadt mit fadem Beigeschmack, dass Hotel ist sehr gut angeschlossen.

Die Gegend und deren Menschen um das Hotel herum sind stark mit Drogen belastet. Noch stärker als die ganze Stadt sonst schon. Wir wurden zwei Mal ohne Grund stark beleidigt und hatten daher ein wenig Unbehagen.

People and atmosphere in the hotel are really nice. It's very near from each transportation and center of the city. You can easily go everywhere using transportation, you need to be careful walking on the street tho.

One thing you need to be careful is the location. The area of this hotel is the center of homeless people. Either day or night, you see bunch of homeless people. Fortunately, each transportation is very near to the hotel (right across the street), but walking on the road at night is scary. The bed is not good, I think. After sleep, I feel itchy so much. They should change the sheets which looks so old. And, I wish you have a hairdryer, shampoo and body soap.

Great location, friendly staff would recommend.

If you want to stay in the city close to many attractions this would be the place to stay. There are cafe’s close by priced reasonably. One draw back the room was not as clean as I expected, went to a Walgreens that is close by and bought desinfectante spray and wipes. Other than that was a great place to stay.

Great location to get to all the attractions in San Francisco

We researched this area thoroughly. We knew about the homeless issues in the area. We knew there was no breakfast. A lot of people complained about leaving the key at the desk (???). It was a great place. Great staff. Spotlessly clean. The homeless people do not bother you. Every form of transport right outside the front door - street cars, buses and trains (get a Clipper card app - awesome). Union Square five minutes walk. Huge Whole Foods market one block away with hot food. Two cafes in either direction. Yep - it's old, but the room was huge (we booked a family room with it's own bathroom).

We did our research, so we knew what we were booking - therefore - no disappointments. They are planning to put a restaurant in behind the reception area. That will be a big bonus.

Charming hotel in the heart of SF

This hotel has its own character. It’s a little worn in some places, but it’s a nice place.

It’s not a matter of the hotel, but the surrounding area is not the best.

Very clean room and the location. Also the stuff was helping us. We like the hotel, even it is a little old because it is in very good condition.

Nice staff, old hotel, warzone location

The staff were lovely, very friendly and accommodating

The area was absolutely awful. It felt extremely dangerous both nights I was there. If you're travelling alone and you're used to downtown LA/San Fran levels of trouble then fair enough - but if you're from Europe or you're travelling with kids etc. I really wouldn't recommend staying here. The hotel was also very old and a bit rundown, I didn't mind so much to be honest...

Superb

Beautiful old hotel right on market street with a stunning lobby filled with interesting antiques. Comfortable room and a very friendly staff. Great location if you want to stay right downtown and use public transportation to get around the city.

The persons at the reception were nice. The location is 3 minutes away from BART station (airport).

What it really recommends the property is the location. You could not really get the water from the sink to work and when I did it I could not stop it (see video). When I raised the issue, the person said that is that for water saving. I think the rooms were not renovated since the building was constructed, 100 years ago.

Perfect quiet place to stay when in town.

Friendly, courteous staff. Excellent, quiet, and clean rooms. Close to local transportation...food...pretty much all you need within a walking distance.
