I have no idea how this place has such high ratings. Although initially the check in clerk was kind and somewhat helpful, my stay at this hostel was disgustingly bad. I opted for a private room which was actually not even close to what the misleading ad boasted. It was very hot with no thermostat to adjust the temperature and it was also very dirty. The entire place smelled like the combination of a filthy college dorm room and a musty locker room. It was rather disgusting. I booked the room to get a good nights sleep and got none at all due to the combination of several disheartening matters. First of all, as I stated, the room was very hot with no thermostat. Then there was the continual noise from an entry/exit door next to my room which had a loud clanking lock mechanism that sounded off constantly throughout the night as people went in and out. The room was not sound proof at all. Worst of all, after lying on the bed for a while I began to feel itchy bites from something (bed bugs maybe?) all over my body. After a full sleepless night of this ridiculousness, around 6am I eagerly rushed take a shower to wash off whatever was biting me in my bed and in less than five minutes the shower water was ice cold. I sincerely do not care to write such a critical review but the truth is that this place was terribly misrepresented online and it was so bad that I honestly would have been happier to have slept outside in a tent at a local campground.

Great location, facilities, and free complimentary stuff they offer such as Coffee, and earplugs to sleep. The beds are clean and comfortable, shared bathrooms are clean. The only missing thing with this hostel is free parking, but there are plenty of options nearby to park, of course, you need to pay for it - I spent between 4 pm on the arrival day to the next day around 11 AM $30.

I absolutely love this hostel! It’s nice and clean and the staff is really friendly and helpful ! I’ve stayed here a few times since the 1st time. As a solo female traveler I would say 10/10 recommend!

Traveling with a family of five this couldn’t have been more perfect. Great location with excellent restaurants within a short walk and room set-up was perfect for our group.

Overall really awesome place. The building is just a few years old and has a modern, simple and elegant design to it that I liked. Service was good, though bear in mind they leave at 9pm. It was a little hard to find at first. It's behind the Flying Squirrel restaurant. You want the gravel driveway off Passenger St.

The host Elliott was absolutely delightful to talk with and learn about hiking the local trails. Really a good local find.

CrashPad felt like home away from home. Simple but bright and airy, great location next to Flying Squirrel also owned by CrashPad. We would have loved to use the Fire ring outdoor area but we’re in town for a race with limited time. Somehow concrete floors seem so much cleaner than carpet… there was some stray crumbs and confetti from prior guests but minimal. We like the LEED certified simplicity and design - bathroom could use a new coate of paint but not a big deal. Thank you for the fun and unique stay, a welcomed concept which made our Chattanooga experience much better than prior visits to this town.
