About this house rental
Located in Dry Fork, this charming house for $299 per night is a great option for your next break. This secluded property will be more than your home away from home. It will be your complete escape from everything. Enjoy three levels of decking complete with gas grill, fire pit and access to a catch and release pond with largemouth bass and bluegill. This four acre property borders the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge giving you unobstructed views and a private wooded area that surrounds the home. Additionally boasts in-floor radiant heat system and hardwood floors throughout the entire main level. Inside is an open concept great room with stunning, wood-lapped vaulted ceilings and nine-foot ceilings throughout the entire home. Take in the views through the two-story, floor to ceiling windows and enjoy the fireplace. Enjoy a meal and cook in the fully appointed kitchen with island seating. Off the dining area is the glass doors to the porch area where you can do anything from relax with a book or grill for your whole group. From the large entry mudroom is access to the half bath. On this main level is a large master suite with a king bed and attached bathroom with a tiled shower. Up the stairs from the living area is a loft bedroom with queen bed, en suite bathroom and walk-in closet. Down in the walk out basement is a large rec room with Ping-Pong table and direct access to the lower deck. There are two bedrooms, one with and queen bed, the other with a double bed and a shared hall bath. You’ll feel like you're away from it all but still be close to all of the areas attractions. When you come to a home like this it will instantly put you in the vacation mindset. We were super disappointed to find the hot tub not working upon arrival. We had so been looking forward to it after a day on the slopes. Compared to other rentals we have used in the area the cookware in the kitchen was minimal. There were plenty of pots and pans but no bakeware or baking. Given the location we thought the price was high for what we got compared to other places we have stayed right at the mountain.

I called about the burnt stench in the home. I was told to open the windows and call in the am if it want any better. There is not a screen in every window and 2 windows are busted. So our first night was a bust. The oven fans and ceiling fans were running when we got there. The next day was better but the smell was still there. I didn’t call the office because we had already unpacked our food and belongings. Nobody called to see how the smell was the next day.

We won’t stay at this same place again. Both my mother and my brother have accessibility issues, so we need fewer stairs, but we would gladly work with Mountain Top again. Super easy check in and check out, nice staff. Great job. Becky was extraordinarily kind when calling us about an issue with the plumbing. My elderly mother had clogged up the septic, and Becky handled it beautifully. I am sure it was an awkward phone call for her to make. I won’t forget her kindness.

I enjoyed having the master bedroom on the main floor. Our sons came up to ski and they really enjoyed the outdoor hottub and the ping pong table. The place was spacious and had plenty of room for everyone. We had a wonderful stay.

It is an amazing place in the woods. Everything was super clean and the property had all the facilities/amenities that were given on the website. I loved the woodwork that had been done in the house with new doors, baseboards, etc. Great place!! It was excellent. The people were friendly, responsive.
