Overall, the property is very good. Adequate space for a large group and all rooms are wither King or Queen. It was very clean when we got there. However, once starting to use the home, it was not great. Home needs updated and just plain maintenance. Two of the rooms were missing door jams; there was water damage in one of the bedrooms corner ceiling; one of the master bedrooms downstairs TV didnt work and when we tried to hook it up to the cable, the whole cable outlet fell off the wall and wasnt even connected; there was a lack of towels in some of the rooms; and the kitchen was very poorly equipped. They tell you they only give a starter pack of certain items (which I understand and we were prepared for those items), but dont mention to bring EVERYTHING for the kitchen. There are cooking items and utensils, but nothing esle. Bring everything you will need if you are renting this home. Again, overall, good home for location and space, just not overwhelmed and could definitely use some care.

We had a great time at this property, it was roomy enough for our group of adults and kids. We loved how close it was to the slopes, so convenient if you want to ski or snowboard. I do have to dock a star just because of how many general upkeep things it seems like they just haven't fixed. I can overlook some scuffs, cracks, usual wear and tear of a rental. The most obvious inconvenience for us was that several bedroom and bathroom doors don't close/latch/lock or anything (and one doesnt even have the doorknob latch on the door frame, it had been ripped out or something?) so it's obviously not ideal to not be able to close a bedroom or bathroom door with a house full of people. Overall it was great and we would stay there again! Just hope that before we come back they fix some of the maintenance issues.

Our family spent Christmas here during the coldest days of the year. This home has plenty of space with a nice fireplace to keep us cozy! We liked the large dining table and living room was comfortable for movie watching. Shops in Davis & Thomas were nice to visit. Also d we njoyed ice skating at Canaan Valley.

Stayed here for family reunion- 9 adults, one child and one dog. This house was likely really nice 20 years ago but has fallen into neglect and disrepair. This is a brief list of the issues we encountered- Broken ceiling fan in smaller room 1st floor Broken oscillating fan Crack in great room wall Stained lampshades Stained towels and sheets of poor quality Dirty grout Really old, beaten up furniture Broken porch swing tucked behind the hot tub No real mop available to clean up spills (there was a dirty string mop in the laundry which didn’t help) The positives were plenty of space for a large group and never ran out of hot water. Otherwise we will be returning to a previous rental in the area. We tried this one since they allowed pets. At this price point Almost Heaven needs painted, deep cleaned, spruced up and new furniture.
