Nestled in Dry Fork, this attractive cabin for $294 per night is a great choice for your next break. Located on Sand Run Lake with beautiful views of the lake and mountain. Wish upon an evening star while soaking in the hot tub. Early risers can catch the sunrise over the mountain, framed by windows overlooking the lake. The large sleeping loft with full bath enjoys that same view. Wooded, secluded, but easily accessible in all weather with endless possibilities. First Floor: Kitchen/Living/Dining Bedroom w/ Bunk Bed Shared Hall Bath Laundry Second Floor (Stairs Going Left): Loft Bedroom w/ King Bed En Suite w/ Walk-in Shower Second Floor (Stairs Going Right): Bedroom w/ Queen Bedroom w/ Queen Shared Hall Bath w/ Walk-in Shower OLD TIMBERLINE - A private, gated community located in beautiful Canaan Valley. You have access to both Spruce Island Lake and Sand Run Lake in Timberline to canoe and fish at (swimming prohibited by the HOA) and access to the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area. You will be staying in a private, gated community. Please have a list of everyone that will be staying in the house (first & last names) and vehicle information. A guard house form will be given to you at check-in for you to put the information on that you will give to the guards. Friends of the Cheat staff enjoyed our time in the valley, reflecting on successes of the past year and looking towards the future. The view of Cabin Mountain and the wildlife around Sand Lake kept us content when the snow turned to rain. Lots of games were played by the beautiful fireplace while sharing food and drink. Thanks to the Mountaintop Realty team for making us feel at home. Dakota was great. Very easy to communicate with and super accommodating.

The house was beautiful! The property was amazing the pictures don't do it justice. The fire pit is surrounded by grass now not dirt. The view is breath taking. Our dogs had an amazing time, although they couldn't go to the water due to the mud because of the rain. And it was chilly for them to get hosed off. But they loved the property and house. The dogs loved the dog door and fenced area!!!! Our boys loved the canoe and they fished every day for hours. We couldn't of had a better trip and loved the house!!!! Extremely relaxing trip! Thank you! The team was very helpful every time I emailed before our visit.

The only thing I can say is it was perfect. Perfect house, perfect people, perfect weekend. The view of the lake was spectacular! This house was perfect for us to spend time together. The staff was exceptional. We had a change to our plans right before our stay. Through email exchanges they helped us adjust our stay according. They were always professional and extremely helpful.

The property was excellent. It was clean, comfortable, all of the appliances and electronics worked well. I loved the hot tub and the view of the lake and cabin mountain. The kitchen was fully stocked and we were able to prepare all of our meals in the house. Being steps from the lake and hiking trails was also great. This has been my best stay in Canaan Valley and I look forward to staying at this property again. Becky was excellent during booking and check in. She responded to my questions quickly, was polite, and included detailed instructions. She also sent me important reminders for required documentation. I checked in past 5 PM and she had the house keys waiting in a box outside the office. Outstanding service!

This place was fantastic. We love that we can bring our complete family (dog included) to this beautiful part of the country. The price is right. Everything else is just a bonus :-) The view was amazing! And, as tiny as it sounds, the dog door...it's nice that a vacation home is set up for our furry friends too. Since we've never been disappointed, I'll say the staff has always been great.

We have rented in Canaan for over 30 years somethings I love at properties some not so much. Things I loved dog door, fenced yard, the view, the fire pit the hot tub location. I loved this house the best of all the houses we stayed at out in Canaan. You have great staff always friendly and helpful.

We love Alpen View.
We love Alpen View. The owners had decorated for Fall when we were there in October this year. We rented it again in December and they had replaced the Fall decorations with Christmas decorations, including lights and a small tree to the delight of my grandchildren. We always go with Mountain Top for our yearly stay. The staff is friendly and responds immediately to your needs.

We had a mouse problem. Realize this is common there - but leaving some mouse traps under the sink would be helpful. Davis store almost sold out and said there had been a run on them. Had mice at least 3 nights. Caught mice even after putting all food either on top of fridge or back in large plastic containers that we brought along.
Amenties were really nice - would be nice if owners book could include a note about location of life jackets for canoe/kayak - we didn't find them until too late. Otherwise lovely location. prompt responses

We love the view at this property. We watched the eagle and lots deer. As we sat at the table. The dog fence! We have a fenced in yard at home and it creates challenges when we don’t have one on vacation. That is the main reason we choose this property.
You have a great team we have used other rental companies in Canaan and have quit because mountain top is the best by far!
