About this house rental
Situated in Emerald Isle, this lovely house for $270 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Beach Loving is a two-level house. The main level is bright and open, with 3 bedrooms and two full baths, a sunroom with new tile floor, an updated kitchen (new granite counter tops, gas stove and dishwasher), a dining table that sits up to eight people, and a 42-inch color TV with blu-ray player. The screened-in porch has a double glider rocker, a cafe table with chairs, and three outdoor wicker chairs to relax on. The house sits on a larger lot with a wide lawn that kids can play ball on, throw the frisbee, etc. It's attractively decorated in a fun beach themed style. Bedrooms 1 and 2 have queen beds, and bedroom 1 has a wall-mounted TV; bedroom 3 has a twin trundle bed with memory foam mattresses. The kitchen is fully equipped with coffee maker, French press and hand and electric coffee grinders, blender, microwave, a good knife set, and all kitchen tools. Linens are provided for stays of 4 or more nights, and cleaning is included in the rental charge. For off-season rentals (September - May) we have a 2-night minimum stay; renters pay the linens fee if staying fewer than 4 nights. Downstairs: Downstairs (has its own separate exterior entrance) has a queen bed and a pull-out futon, a full bath with a washer/dryer, a kitchenette with a sink, dorm refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee maker, and dishes and utensils. There is also a flat screen TV. There is a gas grill for the use of guests, as well as beach chairs, boogie boards and two small beach carts, and a corn hole game set. We also have a beach umbrella that you can use. There is an outside shower with attached changing area with hot and cold water, as well as a hose for rinsing off feet.

Great property, great price, great location. We had a bit of trouble checking in but Margaret was very responsive. Property is a 5-10 min walk to the beach, is tastefully decorated and well equipped/stocked. Our family went with another family and had a great time. Would stay there again!

Perfect location only a few minutes walking from the beach. Stepping inside for the first time we knew we were in for a good stay. House was well stocked, clean, and felt like home. We would definitely stay again.

The house was very cute and spacious. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach which isn’t bad and is nice to have the outside hose & shower. We drove to Beaufort NC a couple times to take a ferry, only a short 40 to 45 minute drive. We did need to contact Margaret once and she was very responsive. We would stay here again.

Perfect location, very clean and spacious with room for everybody. The downstairs quarters were great for my teen son and friend. We did a golf cart for the short drive to the beach as we had a lot of stuff to carry. Beautiful home with cooking utensils, books, games, a grill, festive lights on porch. Great family time!

We have zero complaints, the space was spacious & open, plenty of room for the 6 of us! The downstairs apartment was perfect for our teenagers, with it's own entrance & outdoor shower right outside the door... We didn't hav to buy any extra TP or paper towels, ect, very well stocked! It was clean & comfortable in every way, with about a 1/4 mile walk to the beach, but we loved the exercise & enjoyed walking to the pier every day. We made good use of the beach wagon & umbrella. A good restraunt & an amazing Italian ice joint made that walk worth it! We would definitely choose to stay here again in a heartbeat!!

Good location and the cottage was very, nice. Only issue was the 4 digit code that was requested via the VERBO email was not activated, but the owners activated it remotely in a reasonable amount of time, so we were not locked out too long. Down stairs bed cover was dirty, it had pet hair all over both the bed and the pull out?? Upstairs was perfect. Neighbors across the road had dogs that barked at anything that moved on the road and it was a busy road so that was very annoying. They did make attempts to quiet them but it was an everyday occurance and that alone will keep me from renting the place again. I don't go on vacation to listen to barking dogs

We rented this beautiful home during our stay in the area to welcome home our son from 7 month deployment. The house was absolutely perfect for our family with plenty of room to just hang out as well as proximity to restaurants, the beach, and grocery stores etc.
It was nice to have the use of beach chairs and sand toys as the weather was so nice while we were there.
Margaret is a great host and was very helpful answering all our questions and gave
recommendations when asked.
We would definitely stay here again if available!

Great location, just a short walk to the beach with toddlers.
Had a slightly bumpy start, but the home owners responded VERY quickly and graciously.
We had four adults, three-year-old twins, and a one-year-old, and had to do very little to child-proof the place.
Well-stocked with paper goods, dishes, etc.

We stayed for 1 week- had a great time. Owner was exceptionally responsive to concerns/questions. We have been all over NC coast and this is on our top 3 list. If u have a family- would recommend renting golf-cart for beach to and from. We lugged surf boards and gear to beach- it’s a short walk- but everyone agreed that golf cart is a plus. House is clean- very open floor plan- we will stay here again.

Fabulous pink house
This property was wonderful for our stay at Emerald Isle! It had a lot more room than we expected , and it was a very easy walk to the beach. Beach chairs, toys, and a beach cart were provided which made our beach time with younger children very nice. This place was just perfect for our family vacation with 4 toddlers and 6 adults!

Overall, we had a great stay, despite a few challenges with the house.
The pluses: great location, close to the beach and an easy walk ( paved, you can bring a cart, semi shaded). The beach was wonderful, clean and not crowded, close to a fishing pier and small local restaurant on the pier. The house was extremely well stocked. We seriously had everything we needed in the kitchen. Having access to a French press and coffee grinder was wonderful, as we like good coffee. The living room and dining room areas are beautifully decorated and cozy. Sun room and screened porch were great. We also enjoyed the outdoor shower. It shows that the owners put a lot of care into the decor. The house is also close to grocery stores and restaurants and a coffee shop.
The challenges: some parts of the house could use a refresher/ deep cleaning. There were a few issues with the cleanliness of some areas, and the owners were responsive to our concerns. Also, guests are expected to make all the beds upon arrival with provided sheets. That was a surprise to us (and the sheets are kinda cheap). The downstairs apartment is also quite humid. I know we are on the beach and it's hot, but it was not comfortable and we had to reconfigure our sleeping arrangements. If you are relying on the downstairs part, this is important to consider. The rest of the house was very cool and comfortable however.
And yes, as someone else has said, a few bathroom rugs would have been nice. With a few additional touches and updates, this house would be perfect.

Great rental property!
House was very clean, furnished very well. Property owner was very generous with linens, paper products, kitchen products. House not quite as close to the beach as we had hoped, but we managed just fine. Would definitely stay there again!

I spent almost a week here with my family and we all enjoyed the AC and comfort of the seating areas mostly as it was HOT out! We did manage a couple days at the beach when we were brave enough to walk down. It’s about a quarter mile from the beach access. The cottage is very well decorated. My only suggestion would be some bathroom updates and bath mats. The screen porch is very nice and quite a few family members enjoyed the outdoor shower! We would certainly come back here!

We were fortunate enough to go to Emerald Isle for a week and chose it because I found this house in our price range.
The house has a great openness to it, with lots of seating, with a separate sunroom area that is really nice. We had a lot of different family groups and age groups and everyone was able to find space. There were ample bedrooms and the beds, though squeaky, we’re comfy. The kitchen was well equipped, a little small if everyone was attempting to use it, but with grace and patience, not a big deal. The downstairs was nice for people to have their own privacy and the outside shower is AMAZING! I actually preferred it to the ones in the house!
At one point we were out of some supplies and I texted the owner. Someone showed up minutes later with supplies galore. Unfortunately, the dryer wasn’t working but there was a clothesline and drying racks and we got by with those.
The beach is a 5-7 minute walk, there is a cart that is super convenient, and umbrellas, chairs, sand toys, and skim boards. The beach is great, nice water, great waves, and not too crowded.
To sum it up, we had a great time at this house and would definitely recommend it.

This was a great place to stay for large family. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to cook in, there were books and games for extra entertainment. The screened porch was very nice for a quiet morning coffee or afternoon board game. We liked that there were two living spaces with couches and tables so that the kids could be in one and adults in the other, or one for talking and one for reading/playing games.
The beach is an easy walk— we were concerned at first if the kids (6,4, and 2) could make it comfortably to the beach with all the stuff. The older two were totally fine and the beach cart that was provided was very helpful for hauling chairs and umbrellas and toys (we brought our own but they also had plenty there). Overall, it was a very lovely time.

This was a wonderful place for our family to reunite after a long year, to relax and to celebrate a wedding. The house was perfect for us and had everything we needed. The best part was coordinating with Margaret. She answered my many questions promptly and helped us in so many ways since we were unfamiliar with the area. Thank you, Margaret!!!

Cute place in great location
Five minute walk to beach access and lots of shopping and dining options close by. Owners were very responsive and easy to work with. Floor wasn’t well swept and beds weren’t made when we got there because the people before us checked out late. Bottom level of the house had bugs. Overall it’s a cute place, nice set up and good value.

I actually attempted to contact VRBO on the day in re to the intimidation & aggression we received & the entire experience with this house/property management was our worst of all holiday rentals we’ve had around the world. My family & I have always received amazing reviews as we also holiday rent our own properties so respect the game, & all I can say about this place is RUN THE OTHER WAY! I also think VRBO needs to take more responsibility with these types of abuse…as a woman experiencing it on my own with my children it was extremely frightening and if I hadn’t finished a week long beach vacation, I would have called the police. I have photos & witnesses of this completely horrible check out along with a $50 charge taken from my deposit. I will take the charge on the chin & never use VRBO again. This owner should not be allowing this type of treatment to her customers. VRBO should do better.
