Clean and communicative and in a great location, but has loud dogs.
The home was SUPER clean and the communication with Vacasa was timely and easy. They have an amazing automated system that sends texts on exactly what you need to know for check in, check out, etc. when you need the info. Accessing the property was super easy because of these texts. When we had an unexpected issue with a breaker being flipped, the customer support team immediately responded to help walk through fixing it. The property was a mile from downtown - a long walk or quick drive. Taos itself is a lovely place! We loved the wineries just south of Taos, hiking in Bandelier, soaking at Ojo Caliente, and exploring Santa Fe. The home was also stocked with everything you'd think you'd need if it was your own home. It was the perfect home away from home.
I know the owner can't control it, but the next door neighbor has some very loud dogs that barked every night and woke us up often. My advice is to bring earplugs!

Beautiful, clean house, but chilly.
absolutely beautiful house that is very well decorated. The bathroom and kitchen is well stocked with essentials.
It got down in to the 30s while we were there. The house was cold at night. there were supposed to be 2 fire logs to burn in the fireplace. There was a furnace, but we had never seen anything like it and could not turn it on. Only on the day we left did we find some space heaters in the closet. The bedroom had an electric baseboard heater that clicked all night long. We reached out to the property manager, Vacasa, but even though they responded to our texts, they had no understanding about how the furnace worked and only offered to have some firedogs sent over. The logs never arrived.

Recommande vivement
Très agréable surtout après avoir passé quelques nuits dans les hôtels américains. La cuisine est bien équipée et le salon très confortable.

Cute place /nice lication - but cold inside….and man’s underwear under the bed :-(
We like the authentic look of the property, and the shower was amazing. The kitchen was very well stocked and we really appreciated the attention to details!
It was cold inside during our entire stay and the barking dogs next door were a nuisance….but the very worst part was the man’s underwear under the bed….

Overall a pleasant stay.
Tastefully and beautifully decorated, a very comfortable and relaxing space, well and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could possibly need, a lovely, curated reading selection, nice and clean, and a great location close to the heart of Taos.
Heat was set too high for us. We were unable to find any thermostat, this made the space somewhat uncomfortable. Many of the dishes needed to be rinsed or cleaned before use. There were odd overhead "lights" or maybe some kind of solar skylights in the kitchen/dining space that also couldn't be adjusted or turned off. The bright white LED light fought with the vibe of the space during the day, and were unnecessary since there was already enough natural light. On the up side, these "lights" functioned as a kind of nightlight in the hall and bathroom which came in handy as there is a potentially dangerous step between the main living and kitchen space. The hot water heater is on the small side. (I can't imagine this would work very well with four guests.) The Ironing board was stored in a very musty closet and unfortunately had taken on that smell.

This property was our favorite place in Taos.
This property is immaculate and so well decorated. I didn't realize that I had not felt peaceful the whole trip until we stepped inside. We felt safe, relaxed, and privileged to be in such a perfect Southwestern home. Highly recommend. These hosts thought of everything.
