Located in Dry Fork, this lovely house for $393 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Welcome to Pinebrook Retreat, located on 12 acres with exclusive neighborhood access to Dolly Sods, in the gated community of Old Timberline in Davis, WV. This beautifully furnished and fully equipped home offers three levels of living, four spacious decks, three fireplaces, one car garage plus parking for an additional 5+ cars, and plenty of private, wooded outdoor space. The home is just minutes from Timberline Mountain and Canaan Valley Resort, where you can enjoy four seasons of outdoor adventure such as hiking, skiing, snow tubing, ice skating, mountain biking, free outdoor concerts, horseback riding, and more. If staying in is more your style, enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of complimentary wine on one of the 4 decks. The home offers a well appointed game closet, dart board, mini-shuffle board, Nintendo Switch docking station and controllers, an extensive collection of DVDs, and many outdoor yard games. Come enjoy all the beauty and adventure the mountains of WV have to offer. Pinebrook Retreat has all you need and more! Old Timberline- A private, gated community located at the bottom of Timberline Mountain. You will have access to both Spruce Island Lake and Sand Run Lake, that offer fishing and kayaking (swimming is prohibited). There are numerous hiking trails within the community and direct trail access to Dolly Sods Wilderness Area. **4-wheel drive required in winter** Note: One week before the arrival date we will send the Timberline Rental Authorization Form to be completed and printed to check-in at the gatehouse and receive parking passes. Main Level: Mud Room/Entry Way with keyless access 1/2 bath Master Bedroom with king bed, en suite, gas fireplace, tv, and sliders to main deck Open living area with kitchen, living room (tv and gas fireplace), dining room (high chair provided) and sliders to main deck Second Level (Loft): 2 Queen Bedrooms with direct access to upper deck Pack-n-play with sleeping mattress located in closet Shared hall bath with shower Library area with queen sized futon Lower Level: Kids’ Bedroom with 1 full, 2 twins, and twin trundle, tv, en suite with shower/tub combo Utility room with full size refrigerator and complimentary wine and roll-a-way twin bed Rec Room with dart board, tv, nest chair that converts to a full bed, and access to lower deck Queen sized sleeper sofa Electric fireplace Garage access Washer/Dryer You won’t have to worry about packing or buying household goods. We had a blast at the house. It kept our 5 kids ages 5 and under entertained during a rainy weekend. The house was beautiful and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Extremely well stocked and plenty of space for a big group. Also had some lovely nice surprises. My group travels to WV every year for skiing/snowboarding and this was the first time we got a place without a hottub which made some of my group members sad. However, after staying there, the group agreed that this is the best place we have stayed in after 4 years. If coming in the winter, you definitely will be safer using a 4WD vehicle. The driveway was fairly steep.

I have stayed in many VRBO properties and this was by far the best stocked house. Absolutely everything needed was there. There were more spices then in my own house! I definitely would recommend staying here again!

This was a very nice propery. It had everything we needed. However, the property listing stated it had direct trail access to Dolly Sods. The gated community had access to Dolly Sods, but not the property itself. Access to Dolly Sods was about a 10 minute drive from the house. Had I known the property did not have direct trail access to Dolly Sods access, I am not sure I would have booked the the property as we are a hiking goup in the area to hike Dolly Sods.

We loved our stay at Pinebrook Retreat! The house is gorgeous, well planned/stocked, and had so many extra touches that amazed us. There was plenty of room to accommodate our 4 households. Jeremy is very easy to communicate with and went above and beyond to help us locate a few forgotten items, which we were very thankful for.

This house is beautiful and it's extremely well equipped and comfortable and served us well. We are a group of adult cousins just looking for a place to hang out and visit and this house was perfect for us. Jeremy is very responsive and accommodating. We would absolutely stay here again.

7 women celebrating over 50 yrs of friendship reconnecting for a weekend. A yearly trip for us, this was one of our favorite places. Lovely home, so many thoughtful amenities never found in other rentals. The mountaintop setting was beautiful, especially if you want to watch deer. Owner was friendly and responsive to questions. Highly recommend, but be prepared for climbing gravel roads as a little tricky to get traction in two spots at bend in the road.

Every year we do an annual stay to ski at Timberline, we’ve stayed at several properties around the resort but this was one of the best! This by far was the most well equipped house we have ever stayed in. So many complimentary amenities, and all the kitchen appliances you could ever need- they’ve really thought of everything! Huge house with plenty of room for kids and adults, lots of entertainment with movies & games, even an outside shelter that we are pretty sure is Bigfoot’s house ;)
Close to the resort and we had lots of fresh snow for added fun! One thing- if you’re going in winter you definitely need 4WD or AWD for that driveway because it’s a doozy! All in all we had a wonderful time and would love to come back next year!

One word - PERFECT. From the owner's communication, the home & it's many thought out amenities, and location - this was the perfect place for our weekend ski getaway with friends and family. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit the area.

We stay in a different house every time we visit Canaan but this is a beautiful home we would rent a second time. We were able to see a lot of deer and even a beaver at the state park. Kitchen is very well stocked and home had plenty of towels for our group. The kids really enjoyed having the entire downstairs to themselves. The views were amazing from the bedrooms and the TV had plenty of options for our first night indoors with the rain. game cabinet was stocked well and we enjoyed putting the puzzle together that was a picture of the house. Check in was easy and communication with the host was great. Definitely recommend this property!

We stayed for a week with 4 adults, 2 teens, and 3 kids and had a wonderful time. The owners really went the extra mile - phone chargers in every room, extra towels and blankets in every bedroom and bath, a full spice drawer and other kitchen staples, knives that were actually sharp (!!), decent cookware and more than enough dishes and drink ware, a full puzzle and game closet, fast and reliable wifi - I could go on! We stay at a few similar houses every year and this is in our top 5 for attention to detail, cleanliness, and amenities. The location is also lovely - our kids spent hours exploring the property and playing in the woods, and it’s a very short drive down to the lake to fish or hike, and close enough to downtown Davis and Thomas to make a few trips for shopping or dinner (or a concert at the Purple Fiddle), and numerous hiking trails, horseback riding, kayaking, etc. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

We've been coming to the Canaan Valley area for decades, starting with sleeping the bushes at Seneca Rocks, through camping in Dolly Sods, cabins in Blackwater Falls, and various houses, and I think we've finally experienced the peak lodging experience! Large, clean, well and thoughtfully appointed house. There were six of us and we had more than enough space, the view and property are lovely and Jeremy and Amber couldn't be friendlier and more helpful. Thanks for an awesome stay!

It was very clean, & had plenty of cleaning supplies to use if needed. Beautiful House and View - just make sure you have 4x4 car if there's snow/ice!
Everything was outstanding with the house - the house was beautiful and well appointed. One of the nicest rental houses we've stayed out. It had everything we needed. The only issue the entire stay was our fault -- we missed the "4x4 car required in winter" and that caused us to not be able to make it up to the house on our arrival day. We hiked up. We made it up day 2 and had a nice stay.
