Located in Dry Fork, this attractive cabin for $236 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. The perfect getaway location just outside of Davis, WV. Situated on the mountainside overlooking the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge, the views from this cozy cabin are nothing short of spectacular. Canaan Valley, truly the mid-Atlantics playground, is nestled in the scenic Hills of West Virginia, and boasts world-class skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting and fishing, whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing, and golfing. With easy access to National Forest Lands, Wildlife Refuge, Wilderness areas, and two State Parks, explore the endless possibilities here. Your family will enjoy our quaint mountain towns and shop or browse in our many antique, gift and specialty shops or enjoy some fairs and festivals. Tucker County has 4 breathtaking seasons to enjoy. In the winter, we pick up much of our annual 150 snowfall from the Great Lakes whenever strong Northwesterly winds drop out of Canada. Spring brings some of the best hunting and fishing, and wildflowers. Escape the heat of summer where temperatures rarely exceed the mid 80s. Autumn brings cool temperatures and blazing colors of our extensive hardwood forests. Extremely enjoyable. It was exactly the getaway we hoped for and we didnt want to leave. We had a small problem with the hot tub but it was fixed within an hour of contacting the rental company.

Lovely clean cabin with terrific views
We (and dog) had a wonderful stay at Country Mile. Logistics were handled by a management company located in Davis that was sufficiently convenient. Note and expect a separate rental agreement and also note and expect the fees above the nightly rate. The cabin was spotless and comfortable, the bedding a cut above what might be expected in a mountain cabin, and the kitchen well equipped. Bathroom and shower were quite nice. The hot tub was clean, comfortable and easy to use, and the stars at night were simply stunning. Being mid summer we neglected to bring sweaters/jackets, and next time we visit we’ll pay heed to the advice given that evenings up there are comfortable but chilly! We adored playing golf at Canaan Valley and hiking Blackwater Falls, both within 20 minutes of the cabin. A thoroughly enjoyable two nights!

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay in the mountains. The cabin had a very relaxing and cozy atmosphere with the fireplace and overall decor. Everything was well equipped from the bathrooms, closets and kitchen with everything we could need. Our favorite part was the amazing view of the mountains from the front of the property. We hope to come back again! Everyone was helpful and easy to reach!

I know they weren’t worried about covid since I was the only person wearing a mask. It seemed they were annoyed I asked my 2 questions.

We really enjoyed our stay at Country Mile. The view of the mountain from the house was amazing. However we were surprised that we had to bring our trash to the office. Communications with Mountain Top Realty were always professional and helpful.

There is not a single safe usable frying pan.
There is not a single safe usable frying pan. Though there are Three or four in the cupboard, they are all badly scratched with nonstick coatings. Two were dirty, even. May I suggest adding a stainless pan to match the other nice pots and pans with no nonstick surface. And a scrubber with the dish cleaning utensils. I would actually toss the existing pans. They are all nasty!!! Girl who answered phone was indifferent to our plight of our car being stuck in snow, though she did provide us (at my request) with the name and number of a towing company. Also specific instructions on how to enter the code on the TOUCHSCREEN keypad would’ve been nice. She was ok but I would expect a more customer friendly person to be in that position.
