About this house rental
Located in Deep Creek Lake, this charming house for $488 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Nestled in a quiet and wooded original lake neighborhood on the west wide of Deep Creek Lake, our home “Lake View Escape” is a perfect spot for your relaxing year round retreat. Our spacious property includes plenty of (flat) off street parking, a large deck with a hot tub/grill/picnic table, a great back yard to spread out in, and a fire pit with plenty of outdoor seating. You will take a very brief stroll from the back deck down to the lake where you will find a sandy beach, dock, and an amazing kid friendly swimming area. Our kids and dogs love swimming in the shallow cove, swimming across to the other nearby shore, and setting up imaginary worlds all around the beach area. Your guests will immediately feel at home inside our home where there is a cozy living room with a wood stove, a large kitchen and adjacent dining area, a sunroom for lazy book reading in the mountain air or watching a movie, as well as the three bedrooms (5 beds), and two full baths with showers. We are located 15-20 minutes from most of the deep creek attractions including The Wisp, Swallow Falls, Deep Creek State Park, white water rafting, area golf courses, and McHenry, Maryland. Most of our guests plan to return again due to the very special connection with our home and property - we hope you come stay with us soon! Please note that the DNR adjusts the lake depth throughout the year, outside of our control, so the water depth at the dock varies, please check and also be aware if parking a boat at the dock in low water. The dock is removed from the water in October based on lake rules. Pending availability, we offer an early check in of 1:00 PM and/or a late check out of 12:00 PM for a $45 fee (each). Please message after booking if this is requested (this must be advance planned). The family dogs are allowed (80 lbs. max.) with a small kennel provided in the home. There is a $50 per visit pet fee. Please notify us after booking if you intend to bring your dog(s). We have both a woodstove and firepit with firewood provided. A 4x4 is recommended in the winter. You must be 21 years or older to rent this property. Per VRBO policy we are required to note that there is a Ring security camera on the front and side of the home which monitors the driveway, side, and front door only.

Very cute and comfy house with nice deck and hot tub. Lake is beautiful but house is a bit set back from lake. Not too far but not right on lake as I was expecting. Still a great place and great communication!

Super clean house! Great communication with owner. The house is roomy and very well appointed. The hot tub was very nice. Plenty of wood for indoor stove and fire pit. We look forward to going back.

Loved our stay in October 2023, the house was as described in the listing and more. So many things to keep the young and old busy. The house was right next to the lake and we enjoyed the house and location. The owner was a pleasure to communicate with. Will be back.

This house is wonderfully located on the shore of Deep Creek Lake with a pier and an easily accessible beach. Great place to launch a small boat (which we did) and a great view. The cleanliness and readiness for guest was impeccable. I would recommend this to anyone, and we'll likely come back in the future.

My family of 8 consisted of a Grandmother, 3 adults, 1 teenager, and 3 kids. This house was perfectly located on the lake, close to Wisp for tubing and snowboarding/skiing, had a hot tub, was pet friendly, and super clean!! Perfect amount of room for all of us. I asked the owner about sledding hills and he got right back to me about the sleds they had there for us and additional hills around the area. I really didn’t need to reach out for any other questions because the directions for everything I needed to know was emailed to me and/or labeled in the house. We love to take our dogs with us places but also appreciate a clean house. This place was very clean. The kids had plenty of entertainment from back yard sledding to board games and even a video game that we ended up not even needing. The wood stove was so cozy and we had every cooking tool that we needed while there also. We will definitely be returning!!

Great house and location for 3 large teenage boys and 2 dogs and us. We were warm and cozy and not cramped for space. The description of the house and all the instructions were perfect. Everyone had fun in the snow and look forward to coming back in the summer to use the lake! Valerie and Roy Dunn

Our stay was phenomenal. The house came with everything we needed for the duration our stay and more.
The house felt super cozy and slept my group and myself more than comfortably. Also, the view of the lake in the backyard is a beautiful sight to see during the day.
However I will mention that the roads are pretty scary especially at night so I’d advised to drive carefully.
Overall, 10/10 experience and I would highly recommend this property for your next stay.

I’ve stayed in many places in Deep Creek and this is by far the best one! It was the cleanest rental house that I’ve ever been in (and I’m a freak about that lol). The kitchen had more small appliances, etc than my own at home! The walk down to the water was so nice and I loved that it was so shallow, our dog loved that part too. It was so peaceful. The house was laid out so nice with the deck, sunporch, the master bedroom with attached bath, laundry room, etc. we utilized it all! Our dog had the time of his life too lol, and we really appreciate that it was dog friendly because that is extremely hard to find. Especially as nice as this one. I already recommended this home to all of my family members! We all had a blast and we really appreciate that you’re willing to share your home! We hope to be back soon. Thanks again.

This house was perfect for our family and our poodles. It was exactly what we were looking for. Awesome, quiet location. Love the wooded area with the fire pit, the deck, hot tub...Having a dock was amazing. We rented a boat for the week and it was so great to just go down to the water every day and hop on the boat. Communication with Matt was great. House was one of the most clean rentals I've ever been in. Can't say enough and can't wait to go back next year!

This home is perfect! You can tell that the owners truly care about their lake home and that they want you to enjoy it. The welcome email was detailed with everything you need to know about the home and the general area. The home is clean, cozy and very comfortable. This is truly a pet friendly home – there was a crate, food and water bowls and even an extra leash. We came here with our two Labrador Retrievers, and they had the time of their life! The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. There are plenty of dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, etc. I didn’t expect to need to use the washer and dryer but with the dogs swimming multiple times a day, it made it easy to keep their towels clean and dry. We enjoyed using the grill and eating on the deck. The hot tub was perfect. I loved the backyard and sitting on the swing in the mornings drinking my morning coffee while my pups went on sniffing adventures and tried to catch the resident ground hog. The provided firewood for the fire pit was a nice bonus and we enjoyed hanging out around the fire at night. The path to the lake was an easy walk and the sandy beach area was perfect! This was the highlight for the dogs – swimming for hours. Bringing a pontoon boat to the dock was very easy. We were even lucky enough to see a momma bear and cubs come past the front of the house and then watched them travel up through back along the water to the woods. Deer in the yard was a common sight as well. Do not hesitate to book this home. I am looking forward to renting this home again.

My entire family including our dogs had an excellent time. The house had plenty of space and multiple cozy locations to hang out, read and play games. The kitchen had everything we needed which was good because we cooked-in most meals. We loved the yard and view and had fires in the pit every night. The cove and beach were great, we brought some inflatable paddle boards and the kids used them as a floating island for hours of fun. My dogs learned to swim, and who knew my 90 pound doodle would be a natural on the paddle board. Most Deep Creek attractions are about a 15 minute drive, but its scenic and pretty easy to get around. We’re looking forward to a repeat trip.

Absolutely loved this property! The house was clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The dock and little beach area felt very private. There is a nice shallow area that was perfect for my son to play in. We'll be back!

Great Place for Families!

Overall nice stay
Living room furniture needs to be replaced very uncomfortable. Beds were great. Trouble with locks on back door. Probably due to house shifting but we’re hard to bolt. Nice TVs and good streaming services.
