This retreat is a freshly-updated three-bedroom, two-full bath cottage that is only a two-minute walk to the beach. It is also only three blocks from Center Street, home to great restaurants, quaint shops, and the famous Folly Pier–close enough to stroll to dinner, but far enough away to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing getaway. There is plenty of parking to leave your car while you navigate the island on foot or bike if you wish. The professionally landscaped yard is fully fenced and private, with plenty of space to enjoy being outdoors. This home also offers a level 2 EV charger. After a fun day at the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower and changing area that is covered in climbing jasmine. Grill your dinner and dine al fresco on the picnic table or in the spacious, screened porch (affectionately known as “Gimme Shelter”), which is the perfect year-round outdoor hangout spot! The first and second bedrooms each have a queen bed, and the third bedroom has two queen beds, all with fresh, clean linens and pillows. There are two full bathrooms with plenty of fluffy towels. The large, open kitchen is perfect for family meals and is fully equipped with everything you will need, including lots of extras to make your stay easy and enjoyable. There is a "kids table", a Pack N' Play, and a highchair if you need them. Just one block away is one of Folly Beach’s public parks with a nice tennis court, basketball court, and a great Pirate Cove playground for the kids. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. This house was clean and had plenty of room for us to spread out. It was too cold to enjoy the outside screen room, but what a fun space. We would rent here again.

Soulshine was fun! Short walks to the beach, downtown Folly and playground. With a 20 minute drive to Charleston it was the perfect distance between everything we wanted to do. House was well equipped and clean. The hammock was a hit with our kids as was the backyard screened pavilion. Thanks for a great place to stay!

Great location. 3 bedrooms, well stocked kitchen, games and enough space for us all to be together. However, multiple issues from there. It seems as if management doesn’t care about this house. It was kind of clean, but not well. Mold on shower curtains, light bulbs burnt out. There were also amenity issue. Dryer didn’t work and they couldn’t fix while we were there, they suggested we replace the lightbulbs ourselves, blankets smelled like mildew, tv in the back bedroom didn’t work. They did refund me a percentage of the stay which helped but only after I reached out multiple times. Again, it was like Vacasa really didn’t care about the property or the guests. I wouldn’t stay at this house again.

We enjoyed our stay at Soulshine. Dog friendly, which is important to us as we travel with our two Basset Hounds. We loved the fenced yard and the screened porch room off the back. Location was great. Dryer was still not working - I would have given it a five rating except I just read an earlier review about the dryer but when I reported it, they claimed they did not know it wasn't working. That was a bit disappointing as we had to wash clothes at the house and then had to take to the laundromat to dry. However, overall the house was great and would definitely come back.

Overall, this house is comfortable and in a great spot. I booked this house because of the amenities advertised. One big miss was that the dryer was not functioning. The handyman was friendly and quick to respond, but could not fix it and asked, "didn't they tell you the dryer wasn't working?" That, and the fenced yard for our dogs were the reasons I picked Soulshine. It is fenced, but has several place where dogs can escape. Only one TV in the house works, the one in the back bedroom had to be replaced and is useless. It is plugged into a drop cord that has to be shared with anything else you need to plug in. The cookware was teflon coated and was scratched so badly we couldn't use it. It also needs a good deep cleaning. The sofas and beds were comfy and clean, and the toliets, sinks, and tubs were clean, but there were cobwebs in the corners in all the rooms, ceiling fans were dirty, and there was a coating of dust on pictures, and window treatments. The grill had caked on grime on the grates along with a worn out wire brush for cleaning it. We ended up eating out mostly. This place could be fantastic with just a few upgrades.

The house was nicely kept and perfect for our group! Kitchen was nice and outdoor shower was dreamy. I didn't shower inside all week. My grandmother loved the screened in porch. The only thing we could say in the negative was that the beds and sofas felt really damp. It wasnt a dealbreaker though! Otherwise it was perfect!

The house is clean, well decorated, very comfortable, close to the beach, had everything we needed! The beds and pillows were comfortable as well. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch in the back yard. We had the best time in Folly Beach that we extended our stay.

Soulshine delivers a relaxing comfortable home away from home. The outdoor screened in deck was a nice way to spend the evening. We grilled one night and ate dinner out there. The home has plenty of amenities including the washer & dryer which is a must for a beach vacation. Located 3 blocks from the beach and most everything is in walking distance. The home was clean but….not spic and span, gleaming clean. Tea, coffee stains in sink and upon arrival the towels folded in the cabinet were wet. I put them in the dryer and it all worked out. The wagon advertised as a convenient way to carry items to and from the beach was unusable. While trying to pull it, the rusted handle came off. Beach chairs: several rusted and unusable. These things need some refreshing. The kitchen is well equipped and living area cozy and comfortable.

This is a beautiful property with a large fenced in yard which allowed our two dogs and 7 adults to all have a fun and relaxing time.
The house is adorable and very well equipped—had everything we could possibly need and the fact that it is just 2 walkable blocks to the beach is a real plus. We’ll definitely return!

We have stayed in several timeshares and vacation rental homes and this is the best! It is decorated beautifully, well stocked and supplied, and provides bided so many cozy touches…blankets, throws, nightlights, great kitchen gadgets. I recommend it without reservation!

My family had the best vacation of all time! The home was beautiful. Super close to the beach and main strip yet far enough away to not be in the noise and hustle. The house amenities made the stay even better and helped us to keep the house clean and comfy. Vacasa was great and kept us informed of everything we needed to know. We dropped into Charleston for great excursions like Fort Sumter, Carriage Ghost Tour and even fossil hunting (Found 53!). We will rent Soulshine every time we come back to Folly Beach!

We had a fantastic girls weekend at Soulshine! Wonderful layout, comfortably appointed and lots of space. Super close to beach and town. Outdoor spaces were great to enjoy the weather. Home had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

This is our second stay at Soulshine. We love the big living room and the front yard with the old Live Oak is very pleasant. The beach is a quick walk as is Bert’s Market ( a favorite of the whole family ). Center Street is an easy trip but far enough away to avoid the noise. We are already looking forward to trip #3.

We stayed Sept 3-Sept 8, 2022 at “Soulshine“ on Folly Beach. We actually added 2 extra nights to give us more time we loved it so much. Originally we were leaving on Sept 6th. The home is adorable and well appointed - new surprises around each corner inside and out. Great AC, very comfortable beds, no stairs, awesome outdoor screen in porch which can hold over 10 people, nice picnic table and grill along with outdoor shower, cart for carrying beach chairs coolers and such- big wheels that make getting through sand easy, they even have chairs and boogie boards available but we had taken our own. The kitchen has everything you need and a nice big refrigerator and freezer. Fabulous bathrooms and they even have fans!! One Bath has nice sized washer and dryer with a counter over them for ease with folding towels and clothes. We had plenty of towels and wash rags, starter supplies of everything. Lots of seating in the open area of kitchen , table and den area. Lots of light shining in with quality blinds you can open or close. They ask that you don’t GI colder than 72 but I assure you it’s plenty cold AC. You may even want to put it on 74 at night. I keep my home colder than 72 and I was plenty cool. The home is beautifully redone, tasteful and interesting. Close to the beach and down town but no noise. Parking is simple and was always available at the beach access close by if someone can’t manage the walk- you can just use a credit card or debit card and scan the QR code and pay- instructions at the beach access is well posted. Parking at the home is great. 2 vehicles in driveway, and there’s a gate in the back you can open for another vehicle. The fenced yard is very secure and our 2 labs loved exploring the yard on potty breaks and they enjoyed not needing to harness/ leash up to go potty. We did make sure all gates were shut. We live Folly and have gone since 2015 and stayed at homes on the beach and with elevators but Soulshine is by far our favorite place. We ate at our number one favorite “ The Lost Dog Cafe” and dogs are allowed to come if you choose one of the two outside patios. Their eggs Benedict is awesome and they usually have a special also of eggs Benedict- crab cake and shrimp cakes with it, asparagus, and fresh fruit. The regular one has Canadian bacon and fried green tomatoes instead. Folly is very dog friendly and locals and visitors are very friendly. Our next favorite place is The Crab Shack for steamed shrimp and crab legs, potatoes and corn. Get the hush puppy basket as an appetizer and ask for tarter sauce as well! Lots of choices. We also ate at Loggerheads and it was also good- I had Fried shrimp. The shrimp tacos were good also. The fish was good as well and was topped with a very flavorful sauce. We shopped some as well and found some fun Tshirts and our son got a beachy type necklace. We cannot wait to rebook this beautiful home. The owners have thought of your every need. 10/10 for our review! Thank you!!

We loved this property and would consider coming again. We had adults and children and a dog and everything was just right. Fenced in yard was helpful to keep the kids and dog close. The screened in porch was great and the outdoor shower was really nice. The open concept was great for hosting a few other family members staying nearby. Great place!

Clean, bright, and welcoming - Soulshine felt like home from check-in to check-out! Not too far to walk to the beach, though we were glad we opted for golf carts to get to the little store down the way. It was relaxing to come home to a cool house with beautiful landscaping and multiple common areas to unwind - inside or out! Would absolutely recommend to anyone and would love to rent again in the future!!
