Central air conditioning, washer, dryer and more. Accessible without stairs. 3 flat-screen TVs, 2 DVDs, Wifi. Notes: This Sea Colony vacation rental home has ceramic tile throughout main living area and carpeted bedrooms. Fireplace is not available for guest use. Sea Colony - The Premier Family Beach & Tennis Resort Community - features a half mile of private beach, 12 pools (2 indoor), world class tennis, fitness centers, activities for all ages, community shuttle and year-round security. Sea Colony is ranked among Tennis magazine's Best U.S. Resorts and by Tennis Resorts Online as one of the finest in the world. THINGS TO KNOW Delaware regulations require all guests sign a lease agreement within 10 days of booking. A lease agreement will be sent within 24 hours of booking and an electronic signature is required before final check-in information is made available. The Sea Colony Recreational Association requires a per person resort fee for guests ages 4 and older. This fee varies by time of year and is mandatory. There is construction in the building through mid-May 2024. There will be noise, but the vacation rental will be accessible at all times. Please use caution when entering the building and obey signage. Parking notes: There is parking available for a fee and charges will apply for 1 vehicle. This rental is located on floor 15. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

I enjoy staying at the Sea Colony but I will not stay at this unit in the future as it was not clean and overall needs some tlc.

Our recent stay was unacceptable… the rental itself was ok...the unacceptable aspect was that we arrived at 4:30 pm and it took until 11:30 that evening for us to get a code that would let us in our room. There was ZERO follow through from Vacasa. We had to contact Sea Colony security 3 different times upon our arrival just to get us in our room. We were very thankful for the prompt Sea Colony security team. It took us calling Vacasa multiple times until we finally got someone who could give us a code at 11:45 pm at night that would work for the rental unit. Took us 7 hours AFTER arriving to get a workable code for the keyless entry which only happened because we had to keep inquiring.

So view, spacious penthouse, equipped kitchen and Sea Colony facilities were all pluses. Beds were comfortable enough. Furnishings adequate. Door lock instructions were opposite and held up entry and cust service was overwhelmed. We had trouble w locks the whole trip. A pair key would be so much better until they get system down.
But then the nightmares really begin: my wife has difficulty sleeping with light and the vertical blinds were in complete disarray with strips all over the closet and hidden in the laundry room so only half of them were on in the bedroom and some of them have obviously previously been attempted to be taped by other tenants. The living room had trouble closing and also had a couple of missing pieces. I called immediately as they instructed me to two in report a problem and tell them of my wife’s need and they said that they were overwhelmed and that things were being handled in the order of urgency. We never heard from them again. We did get a note next from housekeeping asking if everything was found to be OK and I gave them a low rating and told them that the master bathroom Sink was clogged and filled up pretty much immediately unless you just left the water on at a trickle. I also told him of the Blinds situation. They profusely apologized and said they would get on it right away and that somebody would be in touch. 24 hours later I wrote them back That we had never heard fm anybody And they said they would make sure the local level responded and we’re again apologetic and appreciated our patience. I thanked them and decided in this case, differently from other vacations that I wasn’t going to ruin my entire week stressing on this and just decided to use the master bathroom with a trickle and to wear blinders for sleeping. This did unfortunately cause or exacerbate a stye in my eye, and gave me a feeling that Vicasa didn’t give a darn about our welfare or our complaints. They were just too busy to really be of any help. I really wondered about ever using them again, or particularly at this location. I rarely complain but when I do the complaints are real. You asked me for my feedback, I hesitated the first few requests, but on this request I decided you know what I’m going to answer.

This top-floor unit has a simply amazing ocean view, and that is saving it from a 2-star review. On the inside, the unit is functional but really needs some TLC. There is a pile of blinds in the master bedroom that have fallen off the runner, and the majority of the balcony furniture is literally held together with duct tape - rendering it both unusable and a hazard, and leaving only two usable chairs for a unit that sleeps six. We ran out of drinking glasses almost every day even though there were only three of us and we ate dinner out. On the flip side, the beds were comfortable (though there were stains on all three bedspreads, as well as both bedroom carpets) and the washer/dryer worked well and had plenty of capacity for beach towels.

Family trip to Chicago
Rented 3 rooms- 2 studio and 1 one bedroom apt. Rooms were great. Building was beautiful. Rooftop pool area perfect. All check in via codes emailed so if you want personal attention it’s not there. Could’ve used more towels. All in all a great stay and highly recommend.

The condo was very clean and nicely decorated. Unfortunately, the sofa bed was completely unusable! The screens to the balcony had large holes and bugs entered the condo. With the sofa bed being broken, it was very uncomfortable seating in the living room!

Pretty perfect penthouse.
This home was the absolute perfect option for a vacation stay with kids. My husband and two children enjoyed every second of this place. They had their own bathroom off their bedroom, and their room had two twin beds and a TV. Our master bedroom had a sliding door to the balcony and on warm nights we slept with it open (with the screen closed). The kitchen was exactly what we needed for the week, as we were able to cook breakfast each morning but also walk across the street to Dunkin for the occasional treat. The washer dryer was wonderful to have for all the wet clothes we accumulated, and also easy to use. There were no unwelcome surprises and everyone enjoyed. I can't wait to go back!

The condo had real potential but was long overdue for a rehab. The vertical blinds were worn out. Furniture damaged yet still functional. Not as clean as we hoped, but we took care of that. Woodwork in bathrooms was filthy. We are happily returning to Bethany next year but to another condo unit.

Disappointed
Hard to believe this was a premiere property at Sea Colony on the penthouse level. Condo was not clean upon arrival. . We swept up dirt, dead bugs and goldfish crumbs when we checked in. Fireplace ladened with dirt & dust. No WiFi access in 1 bedroom. TV didn’t work in bedroom. Bathtub drain clogged kitchen faucet leaked and was loose. Maintenance came, recommended faucet be replaced. Furniture was old, stained and uncomfortable. Bed linen had blood stains. Only positive was the balcony view. Would not recommend this condo

Would never stay in this unit again
We were the first in the unit for the season so I expected a clean place. This was not what we got! The furnishings were old and uncomfortable. The lamp in the second room was broken and the lamp in the living room didn’t work. Ceiling fan had three layers of dust along with the fireplace screen. The view was amazing but that is all this unit has to offer.

Badges - annoying
Property was clean and well kept. Little bit of a hassle with constantly being asked for badges. I had to go all the way back to the room to get a forgotten badge just to get onto the beach. For a two day stay that is quite annoying
