About this house rental
Nestled in Oregon, this charming house for $408 per night is a great choice for your next break. Grandma's house is located down on the jetty (beach level) so beach access is easy for young children and elderly alike. Grandma will lend you her house, beautifully furnished and equipped for special getaways or small family gatherings. Kitchen is well stocked with all the basics and then some; from spices to wine glasses, cookie sheets to stoneware dishes, coffee/coffee maker (not Keurig), tea and sugar. The upstairs kitchen, dining, living entertainment area has a partial ocean view and a new very smart TV with basic cable. WIFI internet included. This room is where everyone hangs out together! Walk out on the balcony and enjoy the ocean breeze! Grandma's house has 5 bedrooms total. There are 4 queen bedrooms; two upstairs, two downstairs along with a downstairs bunk room; two bunk beds and two single beds in bunk room. Grandma's house has two bathrooms: Upstairs bathroom has a tub/shower combo with grab bars, the downstairs bathroom has a small walk-in shower. Downstairs bathroom has two counters and large mirrors, downstairs there is no bath tub. Front door entrance is located downstairs. Downstairs, two queen bedrooms that are private. Bunk room is not private. Garage has been made into a hang area... foos ball and futon. Open the garage and sit in big chairs and watch the ducks walk by! The barbeque is located in the garage. Please when using, take barbeque out on the driveway. Walk upstairs (14 steps, hand rails on both sides of stairway) to the main area; the kitchen, living and dining rooms and a balcony. Two bedrooms and one bathroom are located upstairs. Grandma's house has outdoor parking for 4 vehicles only. If you bring a trailer or boat that is considered as one parking spot. If there are more vehicles, park at the public jetty. Public jetty there is no overnight parking, only during the daytime. Hopefully, only four vehicles coming. Thank you for respecting the 4 vehicle parking situation. Do not park in front of our neighbors properties. Golfers: Grandma's house is a 10 min. drive to the famous Bandon Dunes Golf Course. Our favorite golf course, Bandon Crossings Golf Course is just southside of town. Carts are available there (no carts at the dunes but amazing place to golf). Dear golfers: please do not drag golf clubs up the stairway unless you can carry. Best to leave clubs down in the garage. Lots of fun things to do besides the breathtaking beaches, beautiful views, eating , shopping, fishing/ crabbing, and golfing on world famous courses....there’s horseback riding on the beach, agate hunting, Wild Animal Game Park., the historical Coquille light house, all for your special time in Bandon! Enjoy beautiful views of ocean waves, amazing rock formations a short walk to ocean! It’s a short two minute drive from grandma’s house drive to Bandon's Old Town , wonderful restaurants, fresh crab and fish, shopping, artist galleries, candy shop, fish dock... Bandon is a perfect place to relax, hang with family and friends, take pictures, beach walk , sight-see , eat great food! There is a weekly weekend Farmer’s market and yearly festivals like the Cranberry Festival and Gorse Blossom Festival! The home was a great place to stay with a larger group. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, the entire home was clean and well maintained. Overall, a great place to stay and enjoy the Bandon area!

Only complaint I have is I wish it was stated up front that you pay for extra guests after 8 when the listing says sleeps 15. Didn't see this until we got to the payment part.

The house was just as described. It has everything we needed for a big group to get ready for a wedding. Close enough to the beach to go for a walk, and enjoyable to just watch the waves.
The house is close to amenities and the quaint Old Bandon shops/wharf.
Plenty of room for different generations to hang out and do their own thing. It was a very comfortable stay.

Grandmas house has lots of room to spread out. There is a little view and it’s close enough to old town and the beach you can walk. The house had everything we needed and we really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely come again!

We rented "Grandma's House" for a family reunion. The house was just perfect for our needs in a great location within walking distance of nearly everywhere in Bandon. The owners were fantastic to work with and the house was immaculate when we arrived. Instructions were easy to follow. I would happily rent this home again.

The house was comfortable and roomy. We especially appreciated the large kitchen! It was lovely being so close to the beach, the sunsets are not to be missed!
Property owners were very kind and responsive when a minor issue came up with the smart lock on the front door--and they do have a lock box as well which they had already provided the combination for, at check in. That's the kind of detail that I really appreciate in a rental. Being able to get the house key from the lock box meant we didn't have to change our plans for the day!

We had an amazing time as a family here! Debbie was so good to communicate with and made sure we were taken care of and comfortable with our stay! So much fun! Close to the beach and close to town.

Check in/booking process was very easy. Arriving to the property and gettin in was also easy. The outside had serious overgrowth and needed a mow/weed whack BAD.
Appliances were outdated/need replacement. The main stove didn’t work unless it was on high on any burner so it was red hot then off, hot then off, and that’s how we cooked for a week. I told the host it wasn’t quite functional and “it’s only 3 years old! We’ll check it out when you leave” is what I got.
Then we get to washer/dryers. The downstairs washer didn’t work during our stay at all.
The grill was in such bad shape it almost caught fire, hadn’t been cleaned/serviced in a LONG time.
It was burned up/the gas covers were disintegrated.
And the big ticket item of concern. In my bedroom I found a bra from a previous renter. UNDER THE BED! Are you kidding me?
It was a series of small things that added up to make the stay price not worth it. The dvd in the kids room didn’t work, the kitchen was practically bare, and i wasn’t impressed with the lack of care for upkeep.
But the beds were comfy, lots of space, and it’s a great location. If the hosts put even a little bit of the a they charge per week, 52 weeks a year to replace the constantly used appliances and kept the landscaping somewhat in order it would’ve been a lot better.
Overall I wasn’t impressed, and won’t be coming back to this home.

We had an awesome stay. The house was clean and well stocked even had things we didn’t remember. The lay out was great with the kids rooms down stairs with easy access to play outside and in the playroom/ garage and come in to clean up without messing up the whole house. The kitchen and family room had a great layout for the whole family to catch up and play games together. We will definitely be coming back again.

A last minute cancellation on a previously booked beach house (NOT through VRBO) thrust me into chaos! I had 19 guests and needed to find space ASAP. At the recommendation of the canceling owner (no fault of hers), I turned to VRBO and... PROBLEM SOLVED! Although we were spread to 2 houses, they were within walking distance of one another and exceeded our needs and expectations!

The house was well suited for families, lots of places to sit and lots of games, movies, different spaces and beds! The deck was SO nice to sit and watch the waves and the house was just a couple minute walk to a beautiful beach! The kitchen was really well stocked with spices and utensils too, which was super nice.

We loved Grandma’s House! The space was well laid out, plenty of rooms and beds for our group, and we really loved the view of the crashing waves from the open living space. This is the second time staying in this house and loved it. Common area of the house is the second floor with an amazing view of the Ocean. The garage is like a magnet for the older kids with a TV and Foosball
