When we arrived at condo it smelt like old fried hamburgers garbage was left in garage. Last two days mud room smelt like dead animal. Hot tub was not working from Wednesday -Friday. Service came out for tub on Friday filled tub was working but it was too cold to use. Also, hot water tank did not keep up.

Great location and perfect size for 5 adults. Could have held more. It was great to have a wood burning fireplace and hot tub after a day of skiing.

Smokey smell and mold
The house was nice but it had an extremely strong smoke odor in every room that wouldn’t get out. Also the shower curtain and shower head in the master bed room were very moldy and the towels were old and crispy. I called about that and nothing happened. Very disappointing. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it

It was perfect for our famiily of six senior adults. I needed a place that had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with one of the bedrooms to be on the main level with no stairs.
Just a few things that should be addressed:
-The hot tub never got over 72 degrees. The weather turned to be rainy, so, we never used it.
-The room trap leaks from the upstairs room down the wall at he corner of the downstairs room and the backyard sliders.
-There was a light bulb that was out, which shined over the bottom part of the stairs. My husband missed the last step which blends right into the floor and fell. Fortunately he was not hurt.

It's the small things that really matter. I reached out to management for correction. I'm on vacation so if they need to fix stuff just do it I don't need to be there. Got a call back which I returned by leaving a message to enter condo and fix while gone, no follow up. Range & Frig lights both out, ceiling fan too loud to operate, toilet roll holders in 2nd floor baths falling off the wall, sliding door looked like it had not been cleaned in a year and had to "lock it" with a stick, no latch. All little stuff but for what I paid I would have expected no issues.....

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Big Sky. This property has a great location, it has a nice layout for couples vacationing together, with each bedroom having its own bath. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and appreciated the wood that was supplied.
This unit needs some attention to detail; small details go a long way with me, and these are things that should be routine maintenance & cleaning- light bulbs out in each bedroom with no replacements in the house, remotes not working due to dead batteries, shower curtains torn and/or moldy, sliding door in first floor bedroom left slightly ajar letting cold air in and upon trying to close, finding that the lock is not working. Also noted were ceiling fans in living room covered with dust/ dirt and dirty dishes put away in cabinets. Trash was left in the garage by previous occupants.
One of the biggest issues was the noise coming from the adjoining condo at all hours of the night. The first night there was a domestic dispute that went on from about 11PM to 3AM, keeping the occupants of the upstairs rooms awake. The second and third night of our stay, loud music played from the adjoining condo from about 11pm to 2-3AM.
The management company leaves a tablet in the unit for renters to communicate with them through a chat feature, but after two days, left two messages with no response, I called on the third morning to talk to someone. I described all the issues above as well as the trash left behind in the garage, as I didn't want to be charged for the removal of someone else's trash. The nice woman on the phone said they would send someone over to fix the lights, look at the door and remove the trash. Since they didn't manage the unit next door, the only thing they could do was report it to the HOA as a noise violation.
We were out when someone arrived to address the issues, but basically all they did was change light bulb in the bedroom and leave some spares. My husband ended up fixing the lock on the sliding door himself. The leftover trash was not removed from the garage. Basically one response came back on the tablet that didn't address anything else and told us they couldn't do anythinq about the noise. I would not rent a properly managed by Stay Montana again based on this experience.

This is a beautiful VRBO- one of the nicest and largest my family and I have stayed in. It’s conveniently located in a neighborhood, right in the town of Big Sky, about fifteen minutes from the ski resort. The BBQ and hot tub worked well and were great amenities. Although large, the property stays very warm and is not hard to heat. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishes although paper towels, placemats, trash bags, and napkins were not provided. Items were requested but not delivered so make sure to bring your own. Upon arrival, the door code did not work. It was promptly reset with a phone call to management, however this was an ongoing issue with our stay, and we had to call management repeatedly to get let into the building. This can be easily remedied and should not dissuade from anyone renting the property. Management was nice and professional. Keep in mind that this is a duplex, and we did have to ask our neighbors to keep it down on multiple occasions since we could hear their music late into the evening. However, the size and comfort of the property made it a good choice for our week in Big Sky.

This home is clearly great for proximity to big sky, but does require driving to the resort. The listing boasts a free shuttle, but the shuttle does not run until 10am, which is too late for many skiers. It was also completely booked for the entirety of the weekend we were there when we called on a Thursday.
Otherwise the property is good and has a nice hot tub. Bring extra towels though, we had to do laundry multiple times because there were not enough.

From the beginning our trip we had issues. Our check in instructions didn’t provide the correct door code and the garage lock box did not have key. We discovered that our back door did not lock and this was super concerning for us as we had lots of valuables there as well as not feeling secure. Jane Duncan from maintenance failed to schedule the maintenance guy and the customer service team lied every single day about getting the maintenance guy there. They extend the lie throughout our whole stay to the point of where the locks was still left broken when we left. The unit was not properly left for us as there was no toilet paper, garbage bags, and paper towels there. If you are considering renting a property that is managed by Stay Montana, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. They are terrible and won’t help with any of your requests.

Great place!
This place was perfect for our Thanksgiving stay at Big Sky! Bathrooms in every bedroom, hot tub, cozy wood-burning fireplace. We loved it.

This unit needs some TLC. The furniture is comfy. The beds were very nice. The basic housekeeping is fine, but bring EVERYTHING. Extra washcloths (there won't be one per person), TP, tissues, trash bags, batteries for smoke detectors, lightbulbs, food storage, maybe even spoons if you have a full house. Pay attention to the phrase "full kitchen" vs "fully equipped kitchen". If you want 4 burners on the stove keep looking. "basic spices" means salt and pepper. None of the bedroom blinds are functional. We got ours closed, but they were missing so many slats there was a foot or so open. The living room blinds were ready to fall off so we just didn't touch them. Do not bring a big SUV. You'll be encouraged to use the garage and there's so much crap in there you have to let everyone out before you pull in. If you only have one car this won't be an issue, but we had kids coming in throughout the week so we needed our driveway. Luckily there's a big ladder in the garage for changing the smoke detector battery, which expired in 2017, so it's a miracle it only started chirping in 2020. The upstairs smoke detector was utterly disconnected. If overall cleanliness bothers you keep looking. If you can overlook a filthy ceiling fan and general lack of deep cleaning you'll be fine. Like I said, basic housekeeping was fine, decent towels and sheets. So, if you want comfortable furniture and not much else you'll be fine.

We were 3 adult couples on vacation. The place was great - we made our own breakfast every morning, enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings, especially liked having a bathroom in every bedroom. We did our laundry before we headed home, parked in the garage just in case it stormed. Walking distance to Ousell Falls.

TV/communications need work
This is a nice clean unit in a good location. Our big frustration was that every TV in the unit worked differently. And we had no instructions on how to get to cable, Netflix, Amazon, YouTube etc., which was different on each TV. Calls to rental office produced no info. A “manager” was sent over, but he didn’t know much either. Provided tablet was no help. This is easy to solve, but mgt co didn’t seem inclined to do so.

We were very pleased with the property. We made a mistake on out check out date, and the Property Manager was very helpful and gracious enough to find a new place for us to stay!

Plenty of Room
Very nice, clean property. The bedrooms were large and each one had an attached bathroom. Plenty of seating in the property for our group to sit and visit. Patio set was nice to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Kitchen set up worked well for family meals.
