Nestled in Seaside, this lovely cottage for $465 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. This home is an easy 75 mile drive from Portland, 17 miles south of historic Astoria, 12 minutes north of charming Cannon beach, and 25 minutes from Manzanita. SORRY NO PETS OF ANY KIND, WEDDINGS, BACHELOR, PARTIES OR RENTERS UNDER 26YEARS OLD This wonderful 1938 Cape Cod style cottage, has been totally updated. 4 bedrooms and 2 ½ bath located in the quite Cove neighborhood of Seaside. Just a stone's throw from the beach for surfing, clamming, fishing, or beach combing. Seaside Public Golf course a few blocks from the house. The main room has a beautiful vaulted ceiling and majestic river rock fire place. This room has a 42' flat panel TV, DVD player, CableTV, and WI-FI. A very large dinning room table seats 10 guests. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking up a gourmet family meal. Eat in kitchen, with direct access to the large deck with a propane gas grill, and fire pit below! The roomy master bedroom has a queen sized bed, bathroom with tub and shower with patio door access to a private area on the deck. The downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed, large window, bunkbeds with trundle bed, sleeps 3, and a TV that is for DVD's only. The upstairs bedroom is very open and spacious. There is a queen bed, cableTV with powder room with toilet and sink. The fourth bedroom off the living room is small but cozy with a double futon bed. Ample parking in the back of the house with car port and room for four cars. There is so much more to this wonderful home which will make your vacation a wonderful experience! The theme throughout is one that lets you know you are at the beach along with sounds of the pounding surf from the Pacific Ocean across the street. Downtown is about a 5 minute drive or a 15 minute walk from the South end of the Promenade. This home is great for families, or couples who want a quiet relaxing vacation at the coast. Seaside Golf Course, Ken's market, a pub, and coffee place are all within easy walking distance. Outlet mall shopping, historic sites, and amusements rides can be found just up the road in downtown Seaside.

Great house to accommodate a large group. Beautifully decorated home. We found that there wasn’t much we needed that wasn’t available to use. Location was perfect. The large deck is a great extension of the house. We built a fire outside - roasted marshmallows and watched a movie sitting around the fire!!! Great memories created with four generations!!! Thankful for having chosen this place. Thank you.

We had a great time at the property. Very close to the beach, which was great for the older kids to walk down to. I very short, even walking distance to downtown seaside. Owner was great and checked in with us and accommadated an early check in.

My husband and I wanted to have a vacation with his grown sons and their families. We chose this property because of the proximity to the beach and number of rooms. We ended up only having three other people staying with us - two adults and the baby. Our other family only stopped by for a day with their two kids but the place was fantastic. Clean, comfy and well appointed with enough space for all of us to have a meal together and hang out on the deck. Close to the beach so the kids could explore. There were helpful flyers detailing local attractions and restaurants. Our host was very communicative and helpful.
We had lots of time to unwind and enjoy the experience with the kids. Thanks for sharing your beach home with us!

This property is very nice and clean and in a great location. There’s a short walk out to the beach and a short drive to the downtown Seaside promenade. Melanie is a great host and very communicative. She’s quick to respond to any questions or concerns and is very flexible with the needs/requests of guests.
Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

This house was perfect for our family getaway over Thanksgiving. Everything was exactly as advertised and there was plenty of space for everyone to spend time together comfortably. The beach is literally across the street and the well stocked kitchen was perfect for our Thanksgiving prep. We’re already planning on returning next year!

We choose Seaside and the property because of its location to Cannon Beach and it could accommodate my wife & I and 4 adult children. The property was well appointed and very comfortable. Before booking I exchange messages with Melanie to understand the layout so the children had their own space. The house was as described.
The rental was a good walk away from the main centre of Seaside and was very quiet.
Having had a stressful year this was the tonic we needed.
Before we arrived the oven broke and Melanie dropped us a message to inform us when it would be fixed. Not having the oven was not an issue and it was fixed shortly after our arrival. Melanie kept us informed.
We have stayed at many holiday rentals and this house exceeded our expectations.

My family has been going to Seaside for over 40 years and this was our first time staying at this property. We had a great time and enjoyed the house so much. There is a big deck that shielded the wind, a fun firepit in the back for smores and a quick walk to the beach. Melanie was attentive and our check in and check out were very simple 5 out of 5 stars for sure!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The location was ideal for both beach fun and other entertainment. The house was clean and comfortable upon arriving. The owner welcomed me and stayed in contact throughout our stay. The sunsets, smores and just overall love was experienced throughout our stay. If I had to critique anything, it would be that the master and room off of the living room had a more comfortable mattresses. Other than that I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a Seaside getaway

Wonderful family vacation at the beach
We all had fantastic time, grandkids, parents, grandparents. This home is beautiful, large and so well stocked. The giant living room, comfy couch and large table worked out great, lots bedrooms, the girls loved the bunk beds and trundle. So handy being so near the beach, and a plus not being in the middle of town where the beach was crowded. We loved sitting around the fire pit and bbq also. I could go on and on about this house, we hope to stay here again on our next trip to Seaside!!

The house have everything for your needs, full big kitchen, large living room with a big table, large bedrooms with spacious closets. Big bonus is having 5 bikes, we enjoyed drive them. ( I wish they have more, we had 8 people staying here). Clean inside and out, nice bone fire place, and large deck. Quite neighborhood. Very close to the ocean. We loved everything about this place, the best one so far from the other 4 we rented before. Definitely recommend it, and will come back next year.

Better than expected!
We greatly enjoyed the house! Our group included two families, 9 people total, and we were worried about space. The house was bigger than we expected and worked out very well. Short walk to the beach and we enjoyed the firepit and large porch. The house was stocked with everything we could need and more! We would certainly recommend!

The home was GREAT! The stovetop wasn’t working correctly on our last morning but outside of that this house was perfect! All the amenities needed for our family and we all felt like we were right at home!! The owner has great decor and you can see they take pride in their vacation home!!

Large home with all you need.
The house was large enough for our family to comfortably stay in. We all had a place to sleep comfortably without being on top of eachother. The kitchen is in the heart of the house so easily accesible to everybody as well as the living room.

The owner was prompt and responsive, and the check-in instructions were very clear. We wanted to make a same-day reservation, and the owner worked with us to make it happen.The cottage is an older structure with a lot of charm. It's in good condition, and it is well stocked. The downstairs bedroom has a futon and queen bed. Unfortunately, the downstairs bedroom smells a little like a basement or crawlspace.My only complaints are that a few things weren't cleaned to my standards and that the check-out procedures are onerous, especially since I had to pay a sizable cleaning fee.The things that weren't as clean as I prefer were the drip coffee maker, microwave oven, and electric range. The drip coffee maker had a bunch of old coffee grounds in the water reservoir. The inside of the microwave oven was dirty. It looked like clam chowder splattered inside and wasn't wiped clean. The heat shields and electric elements of the electric range had food caked on them, and when we first used the range, it smelled up the cottage with the odor of burnt food. In addition, having to clean the elements and heat shields was an inconvenient hassle.The owner asks guests to do a lot of cleaning before checking out. Guests are supposed to empty all trash and recycling in the cottage into large collection bins. Guests have to start the dishwasher, and hand wash and put away all the dishes that won't fit in the dishwasher. Guests have to strip the beds, load the sheets and pillow cases into the washer, and start the wash cycle. Guests are also required to close all the blinds and shades. And that's not all. Take all the bath towels, hand towels, kitchen towels, and rags down to the ground-floor washer and dryer. Remove grounds from coffee maker, and refill the ice cube tray. All this made me wonder why I'm paying a substantial cleaning fee. In light of the dirty appliances and onerous check-out requirements, the cleaning fee didn't sit well with me.

Summer Vacation
Love the neighborhood, really quiet, close access to the beach! Great areas to have big family meals, inside and outside. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation.

Summer Stay
We came down to Seaside for a long weekend and Melanie's home was perfect. The main rooms are all on one level and were very comfortable. Downstairs there is another bedroom where our teens stayed. One of the main floor bedrooms is open to the stairs going down to the 4th room, but a screen is provided, however good to note that this is not a completely private room if your group is using that 4th bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped and there is an outside grill. Great deck area. The beach access is a few houses down the street. It's a little bit of a walk on a path to get to the beach. We rode bikes provided at the house, had a bonfire on the beach with firewood provided at the house. Tillamook Head trailhead is a short drive down the street and we were able to hike one day as well. Seaside is a cute summer town - lots of shops and eateries and as long as you have your mask, all are accessible.

Wonderful house, excellent property manager
We came in town for a basketball tournament with another family and stayed at the house. The property manager was over the top helpful and super flexible for us, which we really appreciate. The house was immaculate! Everything we needed and then some. The house is a short block or so to the beach.
It's also close enough to drive downtown in 5 minutes but far enough away that it seemed like you were out of the bustle. We'd definitely stay here again.
