About this house rental
Located in Florida, this lovely house for $717 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Thanks for your interest in our direct-oceanfront beach house. Since 2003 we have been providing great experiences for our guests, and this year is no exception. 2024 marks our 21st rental season on VRBO, and we have received over 200 perfect reviews. The house has four bedrooms, and with the fold out couch, can accommodate up to ten people. Although we are only a few minutes away from Jacksonville, St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra Beach, we are on one of the most isolated beaches in Florida, which makes it perfect for an uncrowded, family vacation. The house is bordered north and south by single family, oceanfront homes, and on the west by a huge, uninhabited nature preserve. Just a few steps to the east is the Atlantic Ocean, with beautiful sunrises and the sound of endless waves. The closest public accesses are nearly a mile in either direction, and with no motorized vehicles allowed, you'll only see walkers looking for shells and sharks' teeth. This is a roomy, comfortable, two-story home with four bedrooms (king, king, queen, and twins) and three full bathrooms. Three bedrooms, with King, Queen and Twin beds and two bathrooms are located upstairs; the other King bedroom and bath, along with a large game room which has a sofa-bed, are located downstairs. The two floors and two common areas provide a lot of separation, which can be nice with even the closest of families (i.e. teenagers vs. adults, or working vs. relaxing). It is perfect for the extended family, and can handle multiple generations with ease. Outside, it's only a few steps to the beach. There are plenty of chairs, a fenced in courtyard with gas grille, outside hot/cold showers and covered area for some shade. Just a great beach location! The fully equipped kitchen, living room, dining room, playroom, downstairs and upstairs master bedrooms overlook the Atlantic Ocean; and comfortable first and second floor decks overlooking the ocean can give guests a breathtaking view of the sunrise over the water. Perfect for sitting in the shade and watching the activities on the beach below. The house is strategically located midway between prestigious Ponte Vedra Beach and historic St. Augustine, which offer fine and casual dining, shopping, and recreation for all. The City of Jacksonville is less than an hour away, offering big time sports, entertainment and world class medical facilities, including the Mayo Clinic and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. If you have read our 200+ reviews, you already know that we maintain the house to a high standard of cleanliness, and after Covid, we are even more diligent to sanitize between guests. Our fully equipped kitchen will allow you to prepare your own meals, save a bunch of money over restaurants, and stay as isolated as you desire. Rates and minimum night rentals are adjusted for peak times and seasons. Weekly rentals (7 nights or more) get a 10% discount except during the summer months of June and July, when we require a Saturday-to-Saturday weekly rental. We have a two-night minimum stay during the rest of the year, with some exceptions such as Thanksgiving. Please note that this is a non-smoking house, and does not allow pets. Also, the house may not be used as a venue for weddings, reunions, or other events hosting those not staying at the house. The person responsible for the rental must be at least 25 years old and staying at the house, and the maximum number of guests allowed is ten. We enjoyed our stay at this beach house. Everything we needed was available, all the rooms were spacious, and clean; the kitchen was well-stocked. Most importantly Tom was always promt to responses to our questions. We would definetely would recommend this beach house for a nice family vacation.

Ours was a short stay (unfortunately) prior to a Jaguars game, but it was lovely!
We had everything we needed! Two levels facing the beach (ground and a wrap-around deck) provided maximum beach enjoyment. There are TVs everywhere in this house! Plenty of towels. Multiple restrooms. Games. Books. Lots of privacy. There's an outdoor shower for rinsing off sand. There's a kitchen with plenty of utensils. We cooked all but one of our meals, saving lots of money. Best of all, the place feels like a home; there's a warmth about it that we all enjoyed.
Tom is an excellent host, very communicative, and is close by in case his guests need anything.
I highly recommend renting Tom's place and we would definitely stay here again!

Home exceeded my expectations, it was roomy, clean, and the views are second to none. We had 4 generations at home to celebrate my mothers 70th and we enjoyed every moment in this warm, welcoming home. We will definitely return!

Two adults in their 80's, and our adult children rented this wonderful home for 4 nights. It was so clean and comfortable! The layout of the home was perfect for us, as well as the location. Tom is an awesome owner, and we will definitely stay at his home again!

Very helpful with communication at all times. The. proximity to the beach was quite convenient including an outdoor shower and added to the comfortable outdoor setting. The comfortable, attractive furnishings inside added to the inviting stay taking full advantage of the ocean view. EXCELLENT STAY!

This property was great and the host was amazing. I HIGHLY recommend this house to anyone that is looking for BEACH FRONT, real beachfront, not across the street "beach Front" or you can see the beach from the rooftop, so it's "beach front"! The backyard is literally the BEACH! My family and I will defiantly be visiting here again in the future on many vacations to come. The owner was so helpful and communicated well. All the information that is provided on the house and area was very in depth. There is literally nothing bad I can say about this place. Highly recommend.

This home has an ideal location literally a very few step from the beach which makes “coming and going” very convenient. The property is well stocked with basic needs, ample shower towels and ample paper products. The layout of the house is wonderful with multiple sitting areas and several tables for dining or game playing. My wife and I enjoyed the downstairs bedroom and shared the downstairs with a 13 year old grandson (he used sofa bed). The upstairs belonged to our two kids and the rest of the grandkids…worked well for everyone. The owners know how to execute hospitality and are close to perfect as hosts. Their communications were clear and helpful, ranging from emails and texts to a welcoming booklet. When we checked in the house was not only very clean and well stocked with linens and paper goods, but the oceanfront windows were freshly cleaned and the outside furniture had been wiped down. Almost impossible to ask for more. Please hold off booking your reservation until my family can schedule our return trip! 😏

We gathered as a family to enjoy the Night Lights of St. Augustine and beach between holidays. It was cool in temperature but fabulous for the family. We enjoyed the area and the privacy of the beach. The house is literally on the beach so couldn't have been nicer. Very clean and comfortable. Tom couldn't have been more helpful and accomadating. Love to come again.

The property is literally steps from the beach. Our family enjoyed daily walks on the beach and getting up in the morning to watch the sun rise from the balcony. Communication with Tom was great and he even bought us a corn hole game when we asked if he could provide it! If you like the beach and the sound of waves crashing on the ocean, we would definitely recommend renting this beach house from Tom.

My family enjoyed this property immensely! The only negative we had to report was that the upstairs beds in the two middle bedrooms were not the most comfortable, but that is subjective so all in all- very nice house to have a family stay in. Loved that they had several living room spaces so we could have a quiet space and more energetic space to spread out in. Loved the outdoor shower- might have to put one in at my own house! Loved that they had both types of coffee pots.

We have been going to South Ponte Vedra on vacation for many years, and this house is the best we have found. It is beautifully maintained, quiet, and perfectly laid out for a family or group. The owner has thought of every amenity to make the stay as comfortable as possible. We had a wonderful few days and are only sorry that we could not stay longer!

Quiet, safe location. Quiet great stretch of beach which was wide and flat at low tide. Good gathering areas inside and out. Loved being able to park in garage and unload. Outdoor shower was a plus. Easy drive to St. Augustine or Jacksonville.

Wonderful visit
We had a great week staying at Tom’s house. The house itself was very clean and the beach was not crowded at all. The kids loved the outdoor shower and it was nice to get them clean before they dragged sand through the house. Tom’s communication was wonderful and everything was seamless with check in and check out. Would definitely recommend this house and will definitely stay again if we find ourselves in Ponte Vedra!

Family fun
This house was perfect for my family. The view from the house to the beach is awesome. The beds are comfortable, everyone slept great. The kitchen is well stocked with pot and pans, plates, silverware, etc. All the appliances are up to date and work well. The owner, Tom is awesome. The best! We had soooo much fun. Looking forward to renting this house again.

Loved the beach home. Beds were comfortable, the view was wonderful, kitchen fully equipped with a wonderful view while cooking. The host was fabulous.
Disappointed that the sea wall construction was going on, but it was fascinating, and it will be wonderful when it is completed. Hope to visit this house again when the view will be just ocean!
