The views are actually much nicer than the pictures depict - This unit is truly a special unit. Unit 1220 sleeps a total of 6 (with 4 beds) – has 1 bedroom, 1 full bathroom (tub and shower), 1/4 bathroom with vanity, large living area, dining area, executive desk, large kitchen & full laundry. Mid-visit cleaning is provided to guests who stay 10 nights or longer upon request. There is a washer/ dryer located in the unit along with complementary so. Month long stays will receive a weekly clean Upon request. Additional housekeeping services are available upon request for an additional charge. The Whaler Resort is one of the premier condominium resorts in Maui. It is located in the most ideal location of Kaanapali Beach (between the Sheridan and Westin Hotels and next to Black Rock and Whalers Village Shops). Everything totally convenient and is in walking distance. Whalers Village has over 100 shops and restaurants for eating or just to browse through, so you and the family never have to jump in the car to go eat or shop....or drive home after dinner. Enjoy sailing, snorkeling, surfing, diving, golf, tennis, scuba diving, fine dining, hiking, jogging and world class shops all only steps away from your fully equipped 'plush' condominium. The Unit was very nice. Only negatives were the Pidgeon's. They are nesting in the faux flower boxes and their copious amounts of poop had us cleaning the lanai several times and there was 2 days that the stench was such that we just shut the door and stayed inside

This unit offers an unusually large deck and spectacular panoramic views of the coast and hillside. Outdoor and indoor furnishings were clean, comfortable and well-designed. Besides quality bed and linens, the carpet was like new and probably the nicest rental flooring ever! Experience and communications with the owner were exceptional at this well-located and maintained property. A definite rebook.

The room was just what we needed! From the kitchen, to the multiple sleeping options, to the large lanai for watching Black Rock at sunset. Jim was a pleasure to rent from and always responded quickly to any inquiries we had. Would definitely rent again.

Beautiful beautiful condo and the views of Molokai, the crescent beach the the black rock are the prettiest we've ever seen. Jim, the owner, thought of every little detail around the condo to make it comfortable. And the chocolates when we arrived were very appreciated!

This was the perfect place to be! Top floor panoramic view of ocean, black rock and the golf courses. Super quiet room! Whaler village next door with food and shops. 5 min drive to Lahaina where there is more shopping and food and the famous Uluani’s Shaved Ice. Owner of VRBO responded to our questions promptly! Daily hot tea and sweet tea on property. Only negative.. pool was small. We would definitely stay here again!!!

We loved staying at The Whaler. The condo is exactly what you see. It was very homey and designed in a Hawaiian theme, which we loved. It was quiet and beautiful view - inside and out. Jim (the owner) was fantastic to work with and was very kind with all my questions. Would stay here again in a heartbeat

We really enjoyed our stay in this unit. The views from the patio are great. Sunsets on the beach were incredible! Owner was always very responsive. We had no complaints. As many have suggested, this is such a convenient location being close to Whaler Village and Black Rock. We enjoyed snorkeling here and our teenage boys loved jumping off of the cliffs. The pool is very average but staying on one of the nicest beaches in Maui is what makes this a great unit.
