Private, quiet & safe 1 BR with full bath and functional kitchen just 8 miles from downtown Asheville NC , 13 miles from Hendersonville NC and only 3.5 miles to the airport and Blue Ridge Parkway. Enjoy the outdoor fire pit just across the creek in wooded clearing. Relax on the screened porch while you are serenaded by song birds at night and an orchestra of cicadas at night. The space is on second floor and located on a partially wooded property abutting creek with fire pit in a quiet wooded clearing. The Gem has the comforts of a cozy updated urban apartment nestled in a wooded fold of mother nature for an outdoor retreat feeling in Asheville suburbia. Amenities include a screened sitting porch with gas grill, chimenea and covered parking next to entrance for easy entry in inclement weather. The stay includes internet and internet based TV such as Netflix. . Enjoy!

Karl was very easy to communicate with and made sure this was a good experience for us.

Upon entering the door the fresh smell of clean hit my nostrils and the soothing sound of jazz filled my ears. Pleasantly surprised at the size of the loft and the hot tub was the most wonderful treat. We truly enjoyed our stay and would like to book again. So glad I found this place, thanks Karl for having us as guests.

Overall, it was good. The first night was terribly windy and the screen door doesn’t shut all the way, so it kept whipping open and loudly slamming shut. Def would have been nice if the TV had more than just Netflix. Bed was uncomfortable, but otherwise, we had an overall really positive experience.

Nice place, you have everything you could need close at 10 or less min driving.
The hot tube is a little exposed and with wind gets cold.

I was a little nervous due to not getting the checkin information until I reached out to the owner. Luckily communication was great from there on out. Owner was very attentive. Neighborhood was good. Apartment was in the middle of several homes but mostly private. Very quiet neighborhood

It was a secluded and very clean getaway. We loved the hot tub and the propane heater near the hot tub. I would highly recommend you stay here.

The apartment was roomy for just the two of us. The location was close to the Dupont state park, Biltmore estate, and Pisgah national forest. Karl, the property owner was very accessible and helpful. Because we stayed when the temperature was in the 20s at night, we didn't get to use the hot tub (maybe next time). As cold as the temperature was outside, the apartment was well heated. Would stay here again if we visit NC.

We enjoyed staying at Carl's place! The bed was comfortable and the hot tub was relaxing. The location was only about a 20 minute drive to the Biltmore estate which we came to visit and about the same distance to downtown Asheville. My only suggestion for Carl would be to add some Tupperware, or aluminum foil to the kitchen since we had some leftovers and it would have been helpful to have something to refrigerate them in. Consider adding more glasses and dishes as well. Otherwise though the place was perfect for us.

Relaxing stay

Rustic & Cozy
Online booking went very smoothly. The rental, nestled in a wooded area near other houses, was easy to find. Decor was rustic, cozy and tastefully done. The 2 person hot tub was nice to relax in after a full day of walking and enjoying the area. We had a lovely time and the property manager was very responsive.
PS For coffee drinkers - note the coffee maker is a Keurig.

It appeared the hot tub and unit were in the same space but the hot tub is by the carport and the actual space is up the stairs inside. It’s a neighborhood and for some odd reason we had a lot of traffic through the driveway. The host was very accommodating and even let us check in early. Not quite what we had expected but for the price and the friendliness of the host we would probably visit again. If you are planning on cooking the basics needed are minimal, thankfully we were able to utilize the grill and it turned out fantastic. The hot tub was clean and the color changing lights were fun.

“Cleaner” had an attitude w us because we arrived on time and wanted to check in at check in time for work. Sorry for being punctual but if check out is at 11am and check in is at 3pm you have 4 hrs to clean. Soooo.
