The views are outstanding!! We comfortably slept 15 people (four families) ranging from six to grandparents. We walked the boardwalk, rode the train, played at the beach, rented a boat, easily docked at weirs, watched the fireworks from the comfort of the deck and grilled on the gas grill with refills of gas provided. While the amenities are not upgraded and bathrooms a bit small it’s a non-factor if you are looking for a fun family vacation within minutes of almost everything. The staff was very courteous and garbage was collected everyday outside with a friendly smile. Loved our family vacation and glad we rented where we did!!!

Our stay at Romeo’s balcony could not have been better. There are not enough words to describe it but here goes! Beyond amazing views, charming, spacious and cozy at the same time. Clean, well stocked, perfect location, heaven on earth balcony/ porch, such easy access to EVERYTHING at Weir’s Beach!! Best ever!

The house was in an awesome location and very spacious. Beds were very comfortable and clean. The biggest issue was counter space in the kitchen & Bathrooms. There are no towel racks or hooks for towels. A small island in the kitchen would be awesome. The only recomendation would be to let the renter know that all rooms do not have a/c and possible have fans in those rooms. We had a very hot week. Overall we had a great time and will most likely return to the area.

House could use a little updating but it was clean and roomy and we really enjoyed it.

This place was perfect for our family weekend! We had tons of space for our large group and the common areas flowed easily from one room to the next. The location was perfect and provided entertaining options for everyone in the group. And the views are beautiful! It was awesome to wake up with a lake view.

Location, Location, Location. Weirs beach is a great place for families. Within a few minutes walk is the Lake Beach (with life guards), drive in moives, shops, amusements, bars, restaurants, the lake cruises and train station! The house has a HUGE porch thats can change a rainy day into not such a terrible thing. The views are the best on the lake. We had two dogs who we could easily walk in this clean town. The beds were good and had clean linens. The overall house is furnished and decorated with inexpensive items. The house had cableTV and wifi, laundry, clean towels, parking. We were Happy! For the location and size of this house the price was very fair and reflects its lack of modernization. old fashioned fun!

The location of this house cannot be beat. The house is outdated, but the pictures were accurate so it was as expected when we made the reservation. The house was bigger than I expected! The porch is the absolute best feature of the house - we spent most of our week sitting on the porch - so relaxing! The living room was bigger than expected. And the views from the porch and front bedrooms is stunning! 3 minute walk to boardwalk and 3 minute walk to the beach bar - excellent! The house was priced adequately for the condition/age of the house - I would rent again!

We had a great vacation they did a lot of work on the house new refrigerator, new deck furniture the house has a lot of room , very comfortable great location the kids had a great time at the beach , arcades, miniature golf all with in walking distance definitely would recommend this house for large family's

Had a great time and met our expectations. Older home, could spray to rid spiders from house and wasp nests from porch ceiling. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and this was perfect for what we needed. very clean and would stay again. Thanks for a wonderful week

Location is perfect and it is large enough to accommodate entire family. House is nice but needs work. Door on deck locks only with a small chain lock. Fridges is toast. Rooms were very nice. House was very clean and so were beds. All in all very happy with stay. House just needs some updating. Family was very happy with it.

Our family has stayed here at Romeo's for the last 5 or 6 years. We love the location and house. It is not the Taj Mahal and that is why we love it so much. We are within walking distance of arcades and water slides and the beach and grocery stores etc. are 5 minutes away. We spend hours on the porch overlooking the water and people watching on Weir's Blvd. Bars and restaurants are a 2 minute walk. Any issues we have ever had are addressed Immediately, and hassle free. Each year we are welcomed back like family and each year when we leave the whole family can't wait to return. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing way to see Weir's beach and the lakes region!!!

This was our families 2nd year returning to Romeo's Balcony. We all really enjoy our time there. The spacious house is plenty of room for our family of 14. We really enjoy the balcony view as well. Each year we look forward to sitting on the large wrap around porch and watching the fireworks right on the beach. Also a great plus is the full kitchen and washer and dryer. It makes the stay much more enjoyable!! We look forward to returning July 2013!!

My family and I stayed at Romeo's this past August and had an incredible time. My personal favorite part was the location to everything, it was so nice to walk everywhere!! And of course the front porch, great for dinner and sightseeing! The listing description was spot on, however the pictures were deceiving... for example, the house is much nicer and there is a lot more furniture!! Our family had people of all ages ranging from 1 to 87 and everyone was comfortable and relaxed the entire time! I would fully recommend this rental to anyone that wants the comforts of home right on the lake!!

My family and my friend's family had a great vacation at Romeo's Balcony! The location was perfect for all the kids to be able to play in the arcade or go down to the beach, you could walk to everywhere. Location is key as it's right across from the boardwalk and water which made for wonderful views and the deck in the front of the house makes for a great place to just sit and relax out of the sun! Even though the house is older it was perfect with enough bedrooms that everyone had their own space and the 2 bathrooms were perfect. Our "resident handyman, Palmer" was very friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything, whether it was trash bags, toilet paper, etc. I would definitely recommend!!!!! 2 thumbs up! :-)

We were disappointed in this vacation home during our stay in July 2008. The exterior of the home was very dirty and unkempt. There was spare furniture on the porch, the paint on the outside of the house was peeling, the Romeo’s Balcony sign was rusted and broken, and there were cobwebs with dead insects all over the front porch. The porch railings were so questionable that reminded the children not to lean on them. The interior was very shabby. While it was clear that the kitchen was cleaned by some type of service prior to my arrival the extremely old furniture and linens made you doubt how sanitary those pillows, bedspreads, couches, and carpets might be. As the advertisement states, the house is large and the location is the heart of Wiers Beach is perfect and the view of the lake is wonderful, you have to be disappointed that this historical house has been let go so badly, especially when compared to the other historic homes in the neighborhood. There were obvious attempts to maintain the house – there were new fixtures in the bath, there was a carpenter there every day (yes hammering and sawing during my vacation) rebuilding the death trap that were the steps down to the main street, and on the second or third day “new” furniture from a local yard sale was brought by the local caretakers of the property. The condition of the house at this time might be better suited for a bunch of college kids with lowered expectations, but if I were to stay again, I’d have to request a price more appropriate to the condition of the house or see new pictures of the house showing the improved conditions.

This house a is a great location if you enjoy over looking the water. Their was a washer and a dryer available (big help with family). The only disadvantage was the parking.
