About this lodge
Located in Florida, this lovely lodge for $150 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Experience Florida's native serenity at our quiet truly secluded lodge on haw creek, where noise pollution is rare. Located on a working cattle ranch aprox. 1.9 miles (approx 10 mins) off a paved country road. Beautiful pristine landscape perfect for nature lovers, writers, artists, fisherman, familys, retreats, reunions, star gazers, bird watchers, camping, and even romantic vacations. Get all the benefits of ecotourism and still enjoy a very comfortable stay. Our lodge has natural and country decor throughout and Cedarwood/cypress dress most of the walls. Inside dining table will seat 8 easily. Kitchen island sits 4. Outside there's a screened in porch with table to sit 6, spacious dock(4 stairs to climb) overlooking haw creek, campfire pit w/swing, and small boat ramp. We are 2 miles off the hard top and completely in the middle of the woods where you can experience nature at it's best. If you listen at night you can usually hear owls talking. Fully stocked kitchen: cooking utensils, pots/pans, usual condiments, and Culligan drinking water. There's also a couple family games and a house set of croquet. Guest access For an extra fee and depending on the number of people, we can provide guided fishing trip, guided hunting trip, boat ride, or even buggy ride to tour our property. You must check with us for availability and schedule this ahead of time if you're interested. Interaction with guests We'll tell you how to get there and give you the privacy of self checkin, but you may see us working the ranch along the road in. We don't live there and we'll give you privacy, but we're only a phone call away if you need us. Other things to note Extra $175 fee to bring a pet per animal and we must know ahead of time to charge accordingly. Located on a natural Florida creek and on our ranch. There are Alligators, bugs, and snakes around. We've never had any problems with them, but they are there, and there's a possibility of seeing them. If you're bringing a pet, please keep an eye on them and we advise to not let them go near the water nor should anyone swim in the water. There are cows on the property. No need to be afraid, they won't bother you. :)

We booked this property as a place to stay for a 3 day fishing trip to Crescent Lake. There were 8 guys and this place was exactly what we were looking for. Very secluded with no neighbors and just the sounds of wildlife at night. We loved the fishing dock on the creek and utilized it on several days. We actually left the lake early on our last day just to come back and relax at the lodge. It's definitely not a Ritz Carlton, but we gladly traded those amenities for a secluded, rustic, and peaceful experience. If you are looking for the perfect wilderness getaway - look no further. This place has it all and was amazing.

We were wanting a place to rest and relax and we definitely found those qualities here. We enjoyed fishing off of the dock and relaxing on the swing. Brittany was very accommodating and helpful with anything that we needed. Thank you for sharing this special place with us. We would love to return again soon.

Great place for a rustic ( appears to be a working hunt camp) getaway. If using as homebase, be aware road in is not bad, but dusty. I was puling a boat and found out quick to put on cover. Other than that, outside is roomy, pics do not do creek (with small ramp) justice and no support issues. Great Stay.

This was the second time I stayed at the lodge. While I had a good stay there was some deterioration in the facilities and cleanliness. Particularly the silverware is dirty and needs replacement and the water is not potable requiring bottled water for cooking and drinking.

We absolutely loved the property. It was too chilly to get in the canoes but we plan on returning soon. Brittany was great! This is very secluded and private. Next trip we plan on hog hunting- which will be my first time. My fiancé and his family hunt annually on a boys trip! Highly recommend this place.

Everything we hoped for…and more
Brittney is a fantastic host who is quick to respond to my multitude of questions from the very beginning when the family was planning our vacation to our checkout day. If you are looking for seclusion but also want beach and theme park time, then this is the place for you. 30 minutes to Flagler Beach and 2 hours to Disney World. Fishing off the private dock was an every day occurrence, as was quality family time. Thanks Brittney for opening your lodge to the public to allow us the opportunity to rent from you. Certainly hoping to do it again!!

The most relaxing vacation of my life!
I hardly ever review anything but have been thinking about writing this review since the day we arrived! it’s very rare that you read all these positive reviews and then the place or product lives up to the hype. In this case, the reviews were dead on! I took a five night vacation with my son to get away and reconnect, I could not think of one thing that I would change.
I will say the pictures on the site do not do the place justice. It is possibly one of the most quiet and relaxing vacations I’ve ever had. The house is fantastic, kitchen has all you need. There are TV’s in all but one of the five bedrooms, and they get plenty of channels. There is a nice size TV in the living room and a washer dryer, internet, everything! The beds are comfortable, plenty of towels…just a great place!
But the star of the show is the property. It is set back on the dirt road (that’s in great shape) and yes…we were greeted by a few cows on the way! When you get to the house it’s serenity. The deck over the river is an amazing place to start your day and end it. You can hear nature around you, it’s so peaceful that on the 3rd day when a plane flew over we were both asking, what was that!
I am really amazed at how peaceful it was, it really is a rare find! The final touch is the owners themselves. We got to meet my them quickly and the one or two times we had a question they got right back to us. Brittany is amazing! They really just want you to enjoy your stay and leave you to yourselves. Did I mention that it’s so peaceful?!

Best of Both Worlds
Picked this location for a family vacation. It was perfect. We had a great host that gave us her cell number and said to call her if we needed anything. The Double C Ranch is a unique, quite, remote setting. Nice dock by Haw Creek, we saw an air boat one morning and kayakers another morning. We also made a drive to two different beaches. Navigating the long (almost 2 miles) private drive around the cows was a fun added attraction for the grand kids!!

Relaxation at its finest!
When my son and I entered the gate, we were pleasantly greeted by several cows on the road. It was really cool and exciting! Then as we approached the house, I was amazed at how much bigger the property looked in person. My first impression when I walked in the door was how clean everything smelled. Not only did the home smell clean, it was truly clean. Even the cutting boards, stored in a low, open cabinet, were free of all dust! We were unable to load our kayaks for the trip and really bummed about it, but Brittany saved us from boredom and allowed us to use the kayaks that were there. Haw Creek provided an easy paddle. The current was just enough for a gentle push in one way, but not enough to make a struggle back. We loved everything about the property and will most definitely return. Thank you, Brittany, for everything!

Quiet Florida Country Setting
This place was great. We was in FL for the Daytona 500 and some golf. This was way less expensive than hotels at the beach. It's about two miles of the road on a real cattle ranch. Met the owner on the way in and she was very nice. The house itself was great. It was only four of us so there was plenty of room with some to spare. We were in and out quite a bit and the ride to Palm Coast, Flagler Beach,Ormond Beach and Daytona were all 45 minutes or less away. It is really a beautiful setting and if you like to fish there's a great little dock you can fish from. If you're looking for a quiet getaway in FL I would highly recommend this ranch. Nobody bothered us and the folks we passed on the ranch were very friendly, even the cows. The house has everything you will need. It has wifi, satellite TV and a washer and dryer. It has everything for cooking indoors and out. If I go back for the Daytona 500 next year I will definitely want to stay there again. Thanks to Brittany for everything.

Total Relaxation
I just spent a week at CC lodge in Bunnell. The property was just as described, remote and beautiful! My dog Jake and I relaxed by the rivers edge, went for long walks, and enjoyed the plethora of wildlife that inhabits the area. In the evening we gazed up at a sky full of stars. All in all a fabulous week!

We enjoyed the dock, spent the day fishing, lounging and exploring the property. We also did outing to Marineland, Daytona Lagoon/Beach, and De Leon Springs. All within 50 minutes of the house. There is a per person fee after a certain number of guests so be sure to account for all guest when comparing prices. We had plenty of space and all 12 of us had a bed no need to sleep on the couch. ;) Brittany and Dalton were quick to answer any questions we had. We would definitely consider bringing our group back or a different group.

Wonderful stay on Haw Creek
My wife and I had an absolute blast at the property. It was a great place to get away from it all in the woods. We saw lots of wildlife including deer, turkeys, owls and an otter. Haw creek was really flowing due to all the rain but was beautiful and a pleasure to paddle down. We also caught several hefty catfish off the dock. The hosts were great and really made us feel at home.

Perfect Spot
This is exactly what we wanted: a quiet, high-quality getaway. The CC Lodge is very comfortable, has plenty of room and is great shape for something this far into the woods. Better than we anticipated. Fantastic communication from the host. We definitely plan on staying again.

A place in the woods
Lovely cabin in a remote area but with surprisingly good access to outdoor activities. The Florida springs are nearby and we even went to the beach which was lovely and not crowded at all. The cabin sits in the back of a cattle ranch beside a small creek. It is in a shady clearing far from cattle and other folks. Very private.

Great place to visit
Family getaway for 4th of July. Fun time running our john boat up and down Haw Creek. Great firepit area, dock, grill area and screened porch. Loved being able to walk the dirt road on the large property and even managed to find some shark’s teeth.

Secluded in the wilderness
Great family alone time with no noise other than wildlife. Enjoyed walks with dogs on property through wilderness. Kids loved fishing. Just a great place to get away and <40 minutes to several Ocala Springs.

Peaceful and Relaxing, Great Host! Can’t wait to come back!!!
The Lodge is set among beautiful Spanish Moss filled trees surrounded by 1000’s of acres of pastures. The screened in front porch and dock were both great for sitting, relaxing or just throwing a rod in to wait for a bite. There is tons of wild life from turkey, hogs, deer, many species of birds, and of course all of the friendly curious cows. The house is a perfect very clean and spacious rustic lodge with all the modern amenities you would need and a well stocked kitchen. There are plenty of things to do less than an hour away from riding trails in the Ocala Forest, to hitting the oceanfront for some beach time. Many restaurants to chose from in Bunnell and Crescent City, but we enjoyed sitting around the large kitchen island talking while meals were being prepared. If your looking for a peaceful quiet getaway this is the place. We will be back. Thank you Brittany and Dalton for making our vacation one to remember y’all are the best host ever. See y’all soon!

PERFECT (and I'm not affiliated with them).
We needed a getaway. Every year before Christmas my wife and I go somewhere for 3-4 days to decompress, just to be together after weeks of holiday rushing around and madness. We never realize how frazzled we've become until we are alone with each other and nothing from the outside intruding on our lives. This was our choice for 2019 and it was amazing. Brought our kayaks and fishing poles. Every morning we'd drink our coffee and watch the great sunrise while sitting on the deck which is built over the river. Then we'd go for a walk down the 1.9 mile road that leads to the main county road. Which is a nothing road. A nowhere path leading to nothing was our inside joke. They own about 2800 acres and use it primarily for cattle ranching, but there is hunting, fishing and neat stuff to see all around. We heard distant long guns being fired one morning, but nobody near us for at least three miles. Saw deer, turkey, plenty of signs of boar, and too many birds and animals to list here. Linen is fresh, house is very clean. Kitchen has every pot/pan/utensil you could need. If you forget something, there is a small store 20 minutes away that has everything from food to clothing. The person who handles this place, Brittany, is easy to reach and very helpful. If you need to get away, this is the place.
