Nestled in North Carolina, this lovely house for $250 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Little Peak Creek Farm has had the, Farm House cabin on Home Away #376235 for 6 years and has had rave reviews. Be sure to check out that listing as well as it is on the same property. Now the owners have created a FANTASTIC TREE HOUSE cabin on an additional 25 acres that were added to the farm to complete 72 acres of the most beautiful mountain land in Ashe County ,NC. The TREE HOUSE is an adventure for the senses and is packed with artistry and charm! The farm land offers endless hiking .The friendly farm animals (which all have a story )love attention and will give you all the time you would like to pet and love on them! There are dogs, horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, turkeys and ducks! t You can gathering your own eggs from the Gypsy Chick Inn , the gypsy wagon where the chickens live. There are a number of outdoor activities close by including horseback riding, canoeing , kayaking or tubing and there is endless fishing on the New Riveror just a couple of miles away is the Ashe County Wildlife Club lake and you can fish there.. There are 2 golf courses in the county and the charming town of West Jefferson is only 15 minutes away. Rent horses at Hidden Pastures Trails and the whole family can ride on 2 hour guided trips through the mountains. The owners are artists and creative individuals that constantly work at improving their farm for their guests enjoyment. The TREE HOUSE was designed and completed by the owners and the post and beams used for construction were from pines harvested on the farm. Many of the materials were reclaimed from salvage stores or from antique shops . The tree house always has a sunset as the owner is a stained glass artist and has created 3 pieces that hang together rendering a stunning progression of sunset in the mountains. There is original art and handmade pieces throughout that accent the, one room, 24x24 space ,tastefully. An old apple tree stump has been made into the bathroom sink and the claw foot tub is positioned in front of a spectacular view for a restful relaxing bath. The wood stove heats the tree house and has a lovely view of the fire while you look out the windows that surround you from every side . One full wall of windows allows you to view the forest from floor the ceiling. The TREE HOUSE will leave you with wonderful memories of a magical stay in the cool breezes of the mountains. Our stay was amazing! It was just what we needed. I don’t think I have ever been more relaxed. The tree house was PERFECT! Every little detail was just right. We loved the woodstove and swinging on the back porch. We saw at least 10 deer on our walk and they ran across the road within 15 ft from us! It was a short 20 minute drive to town. We got some steaks from the butcher in town grilled them at the cabin! They were delicious. The treehouse was super clean and had everything we needed. 10 out of 10 reccomend!

The tree house was as described...and more. It was set back on the property and was very quiet. Linda came and visited not too long after we arrived to make sure we had everything. It was a great place to relax and have a peaceful, small Christmas away from all the hoopla.

The treehouse was advertised on my Facebook page, and it was so beautiful, I just had to book it! It did not disappoint!! Beautifully built and decorated!
The owners have paid attention to every detail. Not only is it full of gorgeous art, but there were spices, coffee and even popcorn for our pleasure.
The bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of firewood for the wood stove. Once we discovered that getting up during the night to stoke the fire was a requirement, we stayed warm and toasty! (The first night we didn't do that and it was extremely chilly in the morning!)
I would definitely stay here again!

We were blown away by this property and scenery around it. We were getting away for a "babymoon" prior to our 2nd daughter arriving, and it was exactly what we needed!
The house is stunning, with beautiful personal touches that make the house warm and welcoming. It is a remote location, so we felt like we really got away for once. The owners are incredibly hospitable and kind, and we look forward to returning one day in the future.

It was everything it said it was and more. One of my daughters met me there and we both said it was like stepping into a fairytale because it was just the perfect cabin in the woods. So many thoughtful things added to make our stay more enjoyable.
Liza and Stephen were so thoughtful in all of the added amenities like picnic tables at each summit and a hammock by the waterfalls.

We stayed in the tree house and enjoyed every min of it. The thoughtfulness and coziness words will not do it justice. We loved the trails on the property. It was such a great time for us and our pup! 10 out of 10 would recommend. Planning to return.

From our first glance I had tears in my eyes, so beautiful and so well built for our enjoyment. The welcoming window boxes filled with succulents, ferns and fall gourds. Every aspect to creating the most unique get away. The attention to details was not un noticed, the pine bark exterior, to the bird feeder on a pully system suspended in mid air, every inch cozy and quaint, no neighbors just the forrest and birds calling. Our grandaughter and I went down and met the farm animals and fed them carrots, we were hoping to meet you Lisa and Stephen maybe next time. A unique experience unplugged for the weekend a much needed respite. Thank you for your thoughtfulness that went into this property.

The Tree House is a wonderful place to relax and get back to nature. With windows in all directions, I found myself just wandering from side to side of the tree house looking out at the beautiful scenery. The Tree House itself was perfect! The owners thought of every detail to make our stay enjoyable. In fact, apart from a couple trips into town and to hike along the New River, we didn't leave the Tree House and farm area. We walked the trails on the farm, gathered eggs from hen house for breakfast, and fed the goats and horses. It was an amazing trip and we can't wait to go back!!

This is the most lovely little home that reminds me of being from a fairy tale. Decorated so beautifully from nature and every turn features another artistic creation! Clean and comfortable with peace and tranquility all around! You will not be sorry if you plan a visit here!

Looks just like pictures on line. Very unique and built extremely well. Everything worked well but hot water needed to be improved. Furniture was “minimal” with both beds very soft. Love seat was soft as well. It rained most of the time we were there but that was ok. Overall we had a good visit.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the tree house, which was very comfortable and relaxing. The entire property is as scenic as advertised. The hosts live on the farm and were very friendly and hospitable. They were so kind to my 13-year-old autistic son, who loved visiting the farm animals, especially the horses. (Barn is about 15 minute hilly walk or short drive away from tree house.) We would love to return some day.
One thing to keep in mind in wifi and phone service is spotty. Not an issue though it you're looking to get away it from all and enjoy the peaceful setting.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the treehouse!! It was secluded and beautiful. It was an amazing detailed, decorated hideaway! We thoroughly loved talking with the property’s owner!
Floor fan’s on and off switch is broken off so need to pull plug to shut off and can’t adjust speed. Ice maker in fridge not connected so suggest having ice cube trays readily available.
We would definitely recommend the treehouse and would stay again!!!

Great location and great experience! Enjoyed being tucked away in the mountains and the access to the farm animals and beautiful trails. Really enjoyed watching the flying squirrels visit the bird feeder. VERY comfortable beds and restful nights!

The treehouse is a fantastic getaway for individuals or families who are looking for the ultimate hideaway from the world. As I entered the treehouse, I was hit with the spa like environment that quickly melted away my stress of everyday life. The owners did a wonderful job with the attention to detail from leaving a bag of popcorn in the bowl to robes and slippers to use while inside the property. With David Franz's Nightfall softly playing, I had no choice but to relax and leave the world behind for a few days. It is important to say you're on a working farm which has all kinds of animals you can view. Must do! There are walking trails and mountain overlooks in several areas. There are ponds and a man-made waterfall within a few hundred yards of the tree house.
This property does have a few limitations that people need to be aware of. The treehouse has no inside cell phone coverage. There is only a small spot on the back porch that you can make any calls or text. So, this is a problem if you have any type of emergency or need to call home will be hard. There's no stove in this property which will catch you off guard unless you know this upfront. There was a two burner "hotplate" which will limit you cooking a lot. It had microwave and small counter oven. Finally, make sure the lights are working before it gets dark. The front and back porch hanging lights didn't work. The solar lights in yard didn't work. However, this property is a true gem and winner!

It was an awesome stunning beautiful property! The pictures were correctly portrayed but, in person the art, surroundings, interior features and accents were absolutely GORGEOUS! The serenity in the setting and the fixtures were beautiful and so very unique and enhanced the woodsy setting. The fresh eggs were a wonderful gift of welcome. We felt serenity and joy there being in this magical beautiful treehouse and woods while sharing precious and quality time with grandchildren in such an amazing setting.

The "Tree House" cabin is a "fairytale cabin in the woods". Everything you need is provided...except for the food. We only left the cabin for a quick trip to the grocery store. We are already planning our next trip this winter and hope we can experience the "Tree House" in the snow. The owners are lovely people and made themselves available as needed but there was no need since they did such a great job of making everything perfect.

Lisa was wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, and she made us feel very much at home. Our four year old son made fast friends with the property’s animals, particularly with the family’s dog, Gordon, and he wore himself out exploring everything else this gorgeous property had to offer. Our family loved every minute of our stay, and I highly, highly recommend booking this space!

This treehouse was so unique and like no other place you will ever stay. It has so many details from the construction of the treehouse to the decor inside that you’ll think to yourself they thought of absolutely everything or how did they do that? The property itself has a farm feel on top of a mountain. The view off the back of the treehouse is breathtaking and star gazing at the summit of the property was amazing!

Our tree house get away was amazing! So relaxing beautiful views, wildlife, hikes, and just relaxing. It was a very laid-back and enjoyable cabin to stay at. The kitchen is very minimal, and we recommended the barbecue grill and Internet be looked at - bit overall we very much enjoyed our stay, and was a great place to ‘recharge our batteries’!

We had a fabulous and relaxing stay at this slice of heaven in the country. The tree house was even cuter than the pictures. We had total privacy and the owners were available promptly to answer any questions we had. It was the perfect post-deployment reconnection for us. Huge thanks to Stephen and Lisa.

We absolutely loved our stay at the treehouse! Our two girls enjoyed watching the flying squirrels in the evening, and we visited the farm animals twice a day. We enjoyed a hike around the beautiful property and the scenic overlooks. We loved playing board games by the fire, sipping coffee on the porch swing, and admiring the artwork in the treehouse. Such a great getaway!

I arrived at dusk and the fairy lights were on, the interior was lit and there was classical music playing! Everything inside was well-thought out and cosy and the view across the mountains from inside, as well as from the porch, was spectacular. I spent my days, reading, walking, researching and chilling out by the log burner. I loved it!

We simply cannot put into words how magical this treehouse was. When we arrived on a very cold Saturday, the mood was already set; the fire was already roaring in the wood stove, with soft music playing in the background. Every detail didn't go unnoticed - the decor, the linens, the views, the overall ambiance. I (Mercedes) got to experience many firsts: holding a baby goat, petting a donkey, hand feeding chickens and viewing the inside of a chicken coop! I made the hubby retrieve the eggs LOL. So much fun! We celebrated 20 years together, unplugged and in nature and we truly could not have enjoyed ourselves any more. Thank you so much for sharing such a special treasure! We cannot wait to come back with our boys (15 & 9) so they can experience the amazingness as well.

I wanted to surprise my fiance with a weekend away. I wanted something special. This was that 'something special'. The Tree House is located on a farm with, I think 17 acres. The owners live in a gorgeous house up on a hill. You drive by a barn, chicken coop, and horse barn, all of which are immaculate and newly painted. The whole place is immaculate. We were greeted by one of the family dogs, Matty, and as we drove our truck through the farm she guided us to the Tree House! So cool! My fiance doesn't cry much but when she saw the Tree House, she did. It is located in a secluded spot and overlooks the valley. You walk across a short rope bridge to the house, very cute. The outside of the house, as you can see from the photos, is very authentic. It truly is a tree house, yet very solid and safe. The inside is gorgeous. The photos do not do it justice. As you walk in I guarantee your jaw will drop. Everything reminds you that you are in the country, in the woods, and you have everything you need. TV, internet, 2 queen beds, great bathroom with plenty of hot water. The views from the back porch are spectacular, although the views from the front are great too. There is even a fire pit at the front of the house that we used one night, lots of fun, and the family dogs, Matty and Gordon, came to stay with us for a while. There is a wood-burning heater in the living room, with some wood next to it but there is plenty of wood out front in a storage area. It was freezing outside at night but we kept it toasty with the heater. There is another heater in the bathroom which I believe was electric(?), we didn't need to use that one as the heat from the wood burner was plenty. Everything was clean and functional. There was shampoo, conditioner, plenty of towels, coffee, and tea, everything you need. We visited downtown Jefferson which is a must thing to do. We made a friend in one of the antique shops and still keep in touch, so cool. We also walked along one of the trails and rescued a flying squirrel stuck in some barbed wire! The owners let you walk around their farm which we did. You can collect fresh eggs from the chicken coop, we pet the horses, goats, and donkeys. So much fun. We had a trip to remember. We highly recommend this Tree House, and we'll definitely visit again! THANK YOU!
