About this bed and breakfast
Nestled in South Carolina, this lovely bed and breakfast for $213 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. This home is located in a small community in the middle of the Francis Marion Forest. Enjoy the quiet of this forest community while still being close to shopping (20 min.), Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island Beaches (30 min.), and the heart of downtown Charleston (33 min.). This home was completely remodeled and furnished with 100% new furnishings in 2017. In addition to the 1200 sq. ft. of living space this house has a 750 sq. ft. furnished screened in porch that runs the entire length of the house. The house includes tiled baths, hardwood floors throughout, a gas fireplace, and a granite counter top office station equipped with a full size computer monitor, wireless keyboard/mouse and printer. The owners live at the back of this 8 acre property and invite tenants to feed the large domestic and Japanese koi that reside in a large pond at the back of the property... not to mention the pond is also full of large mouth bass and sunfish. Tenants are welcome to fish in this pond at any time using the bait and tackle the owners have available at the property. The tenants also have access to 3 kayaks (2 touring Folbots and 1 double) that can be used on the nearby Quinby creek (5 miles North) and/or the Wando River (5 miles South) of the property. In addition, two bikes along with a car bike carrier are available. The bikes can be used to ride anywhere in the Lowcountry... the trails of the Forest, streets of historic Charleston, and/or the beach communities of Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Island and Folly Beach. The owners have a bamboo fence enclosed private swimming pool that can be used by the tenants during there stay. The pool is not heated; therefore, it is only open between May 1st and September 30th each year. This home also has a small deck off the screened-in porch that can be used to sit and relax, grill out on the gas grill or enjoy a real fire in the fire pit (wood is furnished by the owner). Last but not least, the owners own a boat (Bayliner Element xr7) that they launch on the Wando River 5 miles from the guest house. If tenants are staying on a Saturday or Sunday evening, owners may be able to take them on a sunset cruise. If a sunset cruise is of interest, guests are encouraged to let owners know as soon as possible. Owners enjoy taking guests on the water; however, cannot always guarantee availability due to personal schedules and bad weather.

Perfect location for my family for our recent trip to Charleston. We enjoyed being away from the crowds. My kids were able to play in the yard which is a bonus. The kitchen is well stocked. We had everything needed and more to prepare meals. The host was exceptional- great communication. Loved the screened in back porch. I hope we can return soon!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as we felt secluded from the crowds on our own little vacation property but it was also very convenient to town and not too far from the beach. We were very comfortable and felt like they had thought of everything we would need while there. Highly recommend this vacation home!

I was initially a bit nervous about having reserved a home so seemingly cut off from Charleston. But after we arrived and my girlfriend squealed that highly anticipated approval and excitement, our vacation began!
It’s a bunch of minutes from Downtown, but we really came to appreciate it. Ride was about a 35-40 min to the waterfront. But we got to witness swans, heron, egret, spring peepers, green tree frogs, green anoles, and our favorite: a parlaiment of barred owls.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was the perfect spot to visit downtown Charleston and Patriot’s Point. The property itself was exceptionally clean, quiet, and has a great screened porch for everyone to enjoy. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in the area.

Beautiful place, with everything you need in kitchen to cook. The beds are very comfortable and we all slept so good. Pool was beautiful but too cold for our granddaughter. She is 21 months old. My son and his fiance did have fun in the water.

Our group had the absolute pleasure of staying at Brenda and Wanda's stunning property during our participation in the Hell Hole Hundred race. The house was nothing short of fantastic, meticulously clean, well-equipped, and with a welcoming basket that made us feel instantly at home.
We took full advantage of the gorgeous estate throughout our stay. From playing frisbee golf to catching a bounty of fish in the tranquil pond, we relished every moment. The pool offered a refreshing respite ahead of a big race, and dinners on the big porch and fire under the stars gave way to wonderful evenings.
One of our favorite highlights was our warm interactions with Brenda, Wanda, and their family. Their gracious hospitality went above and beyond, making us feel like part of their community rather than just guests. Even our little pup had the time of her life scampering across the extensive grounds.

This is the perfect home for your stay if visiting Charleston and surrounding area. The hosts provide everything you and your pets will need! Very clean home, beautifully decorated, so peaceful after a hectic day in the City. Brenda and Wanda were so welcoming, we loved that they were so willing to share their whole property with us. Home is beautifully furnished and the perfect size for small families. Ms. Horn was great at communicating and provided treats for humans and pets. House would be an awesome place for a longer rental. House is surrounded by well maintained yard with a fire pit, pond with geese and swans. Everything provided you could possibly want or need. About a 30 minute ride to downtown Charleston. I would certainly stay again.

Our family enjoyed our stay immensely. The house was clean, organized, and everything we needed was easy to find. I appreciated the good quality pans, kitchen knives, plenty of blankets, coffee pods, and snack basket. We enjoyed the entire property and especially loved the bug-free enclosed patio and back porch. We used the two bicycles and found the bike mount and bike locks easy to use. Our children were delighted to see the two resident swans, feed the giant koi, and pet the friendly neighborhood dog. We didn't fit in swimming, kayaking, or boating, but they all looked great.

If you want to reconnect with your family and feel like you are home then this is the place for you. The Welcome Basket was just what we needed upon arrival. We unpacked put the fireplace on and then took our glass of wine to the sprawling covered porch and put our feet up!! The kitchen had everything you needed. The bath robes made us feel like home. We loved the 30 minute drive to beautiful Charleston. My husband made a fire almost every night. Our host responded within minutes to any questions we had. They even gave us some great advise on local restaurants!! The Guest Binder explained everything from the tv remote to the best pizza!! Would highly recommend these lovely ladies home anytime.
