We showed up in Portland on Feb 22nd after an 8 hour trip from Missoula right when the snow started falling and then spent 5 hours stuck in traffic. We finally got to Evermore at 9pm and it right away made everything better. What a terrific place! Large rooms, many other places - kitchen, dining room, living room, and more, to hang out in. Immaculate, generous, with friendly and active management. I can't recommend it enough and I look forward to staying there many more times in the future.
There was absolutely nothing to not like.

Yummy selection of self-catered breakfast items! Pleasant interaction with other guests in common area. Reminded us of pleasant stays in European pensions.

location to two family members and the neighborhoods nearby. The historic home and interior attention. The 24/7 breakfast or snack options. Free Off street parking. The easy-going vibe.
The initial driveway is steep and narrow (no other option for there but just a warning) but functional once do it once. Third floor stairway and skylight room not good for taller people (head bump areas) but otherwise lovely space for “shorter” folks. other rooms have been ok for all heights :)

This guesthouse is perfect for people with a car who are looking for a quiet place in the SE Portland neighborhood. Great parking. Great room and charming house. Would definitely stay here again.

Extremely quiet, clean, spacious room with individually controlled A/C, plus windows that open. Excellent water pressure & plenty of hot water in the tastefully updated private bathroom (love the period appropriate fixtures & finishes)! High quality cotton towels, sheets & bathrobes. Thrilled they provide a separate top flat sheet, in addition to a duvet. Excellent wifi and "help yourself" breakfast, especially love the real coffee & coffee cream (I hate Keurig coffee machines which thankfully, this property does NOT use), fresh fruit & yogurt (they also provide muffins, cereal, fig bars etc). Location and off street parking are big positives as well. This place is super organized, like a well-oiled machine (I mean that in the best way possible); introverts like me, or anyone who values privacy will love it here. They even offer laundry facilities (didn't use it on this trip but will in the future). Best of all, NO PETS & NO SMOKING ALLOWED ... thank goodness! I was extremely nervous and skeptical when I booked this stay, but was immediately impressed and delighted. I wish more places were like this.
Too many duplicate pre-check-in emails that repeated the same info over and over; tho that's probably booking.com and not the property owner.

the house, the helpful staff, my 3rd floor room
the outside of the building could use some sprucing up

Nothing. I made a reservation and tried for several hours to get the entry details. Called and emailed and showed up and nobody, nothing, no way to gain access to my room that I am now going to be charged for. I'm tired and it's well past midnight now we with nowhere to stay on short notice. This is really a huge inconvenience all around. I called the phone number to the property and the message states there is an on call manager number 24/7 and so I called it and still nobody answers. I left a message. Emailed. Messaged booking.com and still nothing.
I'm livid.

I loved how convenient it was to check-in and check-out, also a parking was always available! The breakfast downstairs was so easy that it felt like I was guest at a friend's home with good food options to choose from.
The bed was a bit lumpy, and I would probably suggest a new mattress soon. The handsoap had a great smell, but the home was a bit musty and I'm not sure why.

It was interesting and fascinating experience to stay at Evermore Guesthouse. Staff was awesome. Comfortable beds, quiet place.
Antique furniture, comfortable places to relax, cozy and pleasant atmosphere.
At first, I was frightened by the smell of old things, which is inevitable in such places, but after a while they got used to it.

It is a lovely old home in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance to great restaurants and shops. Free, convenient parking. This may be just the pandemic vibe, but it was very, very quiet inside. The staff communicate by text/email and I did not see anyone else during our stay. The little kitchen is stocked with snacks, tea etc.
We had some minor problems in our bathroom, but given the age of the home, it is not unexpected.

There was a lot of space. The bed was big.
There are many flies.

Nice old house. Interesting self-serve breakfast. Quiet
Lack of comfortable seating in our suite. Ditto for bright lamps for trading

A much better choice of breakfast selections than I would have expected given the Covid environment. Everything was set up for use, including sanitization. Centrally located for my purposes with many restaurants nearby.

Good, more healthy cereal options would be nice.

A charming, extremely clean house loaded with character. We were made to feel like a guest at grandma’s house. Very quiet, peaceful and comfortable.
Carrying luggage to the 3rd floor!

The bed, king suite, accommodations, interior design, gluten free options, coffee
There were no small soaps in the bathroom and thankfully I had my own. Would be nice to have filtered water in the kitchen to fill up bottles.

Classic rooms, decor, peacefulness, location, gluten free and other multiple grab n’ go options and really good coffee
Towels are a little dated

Breakfast was delicious. I appreciated all of the gluten-free and organic options! Almond milk would’ve been my preferred non-dairy milk but I was grateful for all the organic options.
Two things in the room that were just slight issues… It was very difficult to get the water to not be extremely hot or extremely cold I tried multiple different times and basically had to take very very short showers because it was hard to get the water to be warm and not ice cold or burning hot. Secondly, there was very little room on the mantle to store any toiletries.

Convenient location within the city. Comfortable & clean.
Road noise from Chavez Blvd. while enjoying time on the balcony was unfortunate but obviously out of the Inn’s control. It was not a factor inside the room. No interaction of any kind with staff seems a bit odd post-COVID but I guess understandable, hopefully this will change in the coming months

We really enjoyed the pretty architecture and floors. We enjoyed the front common rooms for visiting. One afternoon we walked through the surrounding neighborhoods, enjoying the pretty houses and gardens all around. The bed was comfortable.
1. I had to duck under the ceiling to get in and out of bed in the 3rd floor sky light room, which gets irritating. 2. There was a puddle on the floor in the bathroom because the shower curtain didn't fit right. Until my husband investigated the problem, we were worried about a leak, though the staff member had only asked if we wanted her to come wipe it up. 3.On our 2nd to last morning the half-n- half before I got my coffee. I asked the staff member if there was more. She said no and that there wouldn't be a delivery until tomorrow. So on our way back that evening, my husband and I stopped by the store to get some, because this is how we like our coffee. I brought it in to put in the refrigerator and there were 2 other quarts there already.

Beautiful room. King bed very comfortable.

The entire atmosphere of the place was awesome! The room was very spaceous and the balcony, although small, were a nice part of the room and we used them a lot to hang out on.
It was a little too quiet for my taste since I like a bit of background noise like a fan to combat my tinnitus, but the bed was so comfortable I slept pretty good once I fell asleep. .
Also the door lock was a bit difficult to get the key into. It seems quite worn.

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. The outside was a little rough but the inside was well maintained and had the charm of an old large house. We had the the third floor suite which was large, comfortable bed, a very modern bath and two balconies.
Never met any staff. Breakfast was packaged which I didn’t bother with, went to a great breakfast place in town (Cheryl’s on 12th).
