Design and decorated with the utmost attention, every guest here will remember and want to return to the spirit that is the White Buffalo. With the panoramic views of the valley, rocks, and the multitude of birds, and the occasional glimpse of a deer, it is hard to believe that these magnificent Wimberley Accommodations are only a mile from the enchanting Village of Wimberley. From the moment you drive in the drive way you will be met with the spirit of White Buffalo. Once entering the property you will be greeted by the large etched fireplace created a unique experience for enjoying the cool crisp Wimberley evenings. While enjoying the large private balcony, White Buffalo Guest House offers some of the best views that surround Wimberley, putting priority on comfort and relaxation. There is a comfortable living/dining area boasting fine leather furniture and a dining table for four. White Buffalo offers its guests a full kitchen to allow for cooking your favorite meal. At the far end of the guest house sits the large master suite offering a lavish king bed with overlooking the fabulous views of the Blanco River Valley. Come and enjoy what is the spirit of the White Buffalo and get away from it all and enjoy the surrounding hills, majestic sunsets, and magnificent sunrises all from your private deck. After taking in the fresh country air and drinking your morning coffee, get energized with a walk through the hills of Wimberley. We loved staying at White Buffalo! Evenings sitting out on covered porch were so relaxing! Beautiful decor and very clean upon arrival. We’ll be back!

We enjoyed our stay very much and would go back. The size was perfect for 2 and the accommodations were comfortable and well kept. The back porch is huge and offers a wonderful evening view and breeze (although direct sun in the morning once it get up past the adjacent hills). It is a bit difficult to find, so follow the directions they will send. The location was good for us, away from the main drag and shops; you will need to drive for meals (recommend picking up a couple of the HEB meals to go for a quick and delicious, simple meal in). A few tips to keep in mind:
this is not a stand alone property; it is part of a well maintained, small complex, with the owner onsite in the building next door. Ours was the upper level of a 2 story building, which was not apparent from the information online. We had downstairs neighbors, whose deck extended out past our balcony, so it was unavoidable to overhear conversations when outside. That said, once inside it was very quiet and private.
Except for the fact that there is no covering on the east facing windows, which are ceiling high in the bedroom. Thus, the morning sun will wake you early and there is no privacy out the back; fortunately it would take a telescope from across the gulch to be able to view into the house; still, if that gives you pause, this may not be the place for you. On the other hand, the view of the hills at night is lovely.
The kitchen has dishes, and pots and pans and silverware, but no basic condiments except a shaker of salt and pepper. If you plan to do any baking or serious cooking, you probably need to bring your own dishes and utensils.
The bathroom with the shower is certainly adequate, but be aware that it is rather tight/small, and you’ll have to step fairly high to get into and out of the tub/shower, which has no anti slip protection.

The place was spectacular!! We were blown away by the view. It was very clean, cozy, and inviting. My friend and I had a girls weekend away from hubbies and jobs. It was wonderful!!!

Cozy retreat
My husband and I booked this house for the weekend before Valentine's and it was a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the hill country. The view from the balcony did not disappoint. Out last morning there the sky was clear and we got to see the most amazing sunrise in very the hills.

We had a wonderful time at the White Buffalo. We were there celebrating our 1st anniversary. The view was perfect! The porch is large and we sat outside every day. Perfect sunrise. We sat outside even while it rained and then witnessed a full rainbow. :) The visiting deer that strolled by was nice as well. The inside was very spacious and very clean. Thank you so much for providing coffee!! You don't always get that at vacation rentals and it was so appreciated!! We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

Beautiful view and lodging it was clean and well laid out. Very pretty grounds and the back porch was fabulous. Kitchen was well equipped. Location was perfect! Unfortunately, the pillows and bed weren't very comfortable.

Lucille & Bob have a wonderful cottage and were excellent hosts, we very much appreciated the quiet and intimacy of this little cottage. There was ample space for 2-3 people, and we really appreciated their attention to detail (loved the southwest and Native American art). Was very relaxing to sit on the patio rocking chairs and sip some coffee in the morning, and enjoyed walking the hills and seeing other houses/properties. If you're looking for a quiet, intimate escape from work/stress, this is the perfect location!
