It is a nice 5 day stay.

The location is excellent closes to the BART station and bus stops. The receptionist is welcoming. The bedding are comfort and clean.

There is no cleaning lay service everyday. We have to bring out the garbage by our self .

Good location for access to the University and BART, but a drab old motel.

Exceptional

they were very kind and attentive in everything we need! We feel at home! The rooms are large and comfortable. The region is very silent, in addition to being wonderful. The hotel is close to several restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacies.

would definitely not stay there again

the woman at reception was friendly

air conditioning did not work and the windows wouldn't open - it was so hot! also, my card stopped working the morning before my checkout and I was yelling at the reception window for 15 minutes before anyone came to help me

Good location, OK experience.

The location is excellent, very good price considering.

The carpets in my room had holes. The office is unstaffed most of the time, I had to call to check out after waiting 20 minutes while ringing the door.

Decent place to put your head for the night, but for the price I would have expected a little more.

The location was great, and downtown Berkeley is so walkable. The room was clean, and staff was responsive to requests for additional coffee, creamer, etc.

No mini-frig or microwave was very surprising, as this seems like it should be pretty standard, especially considering what I paid. Also, the wifi was weak and intermittent, not sure if this is just due to the location of my room, it was in middle of the floor. The elevator wasn't secured, despite being accessible from the street, and the key card didn't work on the locked stairway door, so coming back later felt really unsafe/exposed. Given the unsecured elevator, I don't know why the stairway was locked. Window coverings were torn up pretty badly and the AC unit's vents were janky and didn't move properly, so I ended up just leaving them fully open.

The room was pretty sparse, there’s no fridge raider, and there was no way to get ice to make drinks cold. and the TV selections were terrible.

Great bed, but the hotel does needs work!

The bed was amazing!

The air conditioner did not work. The window attachment was broken. The alarm for the high school kept going off. The trash truck came in the more and was extremely loud!

Superb

Can't beat the location and value. Check in was easy, staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable. Perfect for an overnight stay or short trip.

Could have used a few more pillows (but the temperpedic mattress was very comfortable). Bottom floor room was convenient but did have a street level window. Not a big deal as there are curtains to let in some light or black it out completely.

Great ratio value-money, good location, room was not cleaned during five-days stay.

Location is great, close to BART and UC Berkeley. Rooms was big with working table. Personal is really helpfull.

The room was not cleaned during my stay, maybe it is normal, I did not check it before arrival. Internet connection was unstable in bed :). Fan in bathroom is noisy.

Convenient, comfortable, and clean. Very happy!

The location was very convenient, and the staff were warm and friendly. Also, my room was clean and the bed comfortable. I would stay there again!

Good price for the area

The staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable

The room was very run down. Window wouldn't close completely and the curtains were torn. With some updating, this place would be really nice.

No Heat and first come first serve parking.

The staff was helpful and friendly. Check-in was a breeze. The room is well laid out and clean. I had a very favorable impression when I walked into the room. My stay was in early November so the room was a bit chilly.

I was very upset that the "FREE PARKING" in the list of included items makes no mention of it being first come first serve. The hotel has very limited parking. If you don't get one of the 10 parking spaces you could have to park on the street which has 2-hour parking limits. NO HEAT: My room did not have any heat. It was just below 50 degrees overnight during my stay. and my room was about 58 when I checked in. I like a cold room but not that cold. I could not get the heater to turn on. Then I found that the window closing mechanism (crank) was broken. I could not fully close the window. I finally had to turn on the hair dryer to get a little heat in the room. By the way, the hair dryer switch is broken too. I had to use the ground fault switch to turn it on and off. There is no refrigerator in the room to cool your drinks. Didn't really need one the night I stayed but it would be nice and they have the space for one under the sink.

A quiet stay in Downtown Berkeley

I liked the location the most, it was off the main busy street and even though a high school was across the street, it was quiet. Transportation was within walking distance and shopping and restaurants were plentiful. And most of all, I really appreciated the early check-in, I arrived early via Amtrak from Seattle, I called the Inn and asked and was told my room was ready. On arrival the lady said even if the room was not ready, I could have left my luggage until later.

Unfortunately there was no microwave- fridge in the room nor a safe. The carpet did not appear clean, it certainly could use a shampoo, vacuuming does not remove stains and embedded dirt.

It was a super basic room. I wouldn’t stay here with SO. For $160/night I wont likely return

Room Maintenance could be improved. #306. Windows didn’t open or close easily. Tv remote batteries needed changing. Etc.
