The hoster are super nice and helpful

The hotel has a really good location

The room was super tiny and not very good cleaning. I didn’t use the shower because of that’s and I went to take a shower to another place.

Old hotel, clean but no amenities. No microwave or coffee pot. Area is a little shady.

Clean, friendly staff.

The sign on the front says The Beresford Hotel. A very small sign inside said Hotel Amari. Heat didn’t come on until 9:00pm and was very loud in the room, no heat the second night. No microwave or any way to get hot water or coffee.

Unpleasant stay

-Location -staff was friendly

-Strong smell -window couldnt be locked -thin walls -bed uncomfortable -no glas window in the bathroom, just some sort of slats so you hear everything from the streets. -very old furniture

Fine and safe, but nothing more.

The room was fine, the bed was comfortable, the place seemed safe. If you only need somewhere to sleep and are not fussy, this will work. It was also pretty affordable.

They never cleaned the room, emptied the trash or changed the towels. The staff seemed pretty stressed and the whole hotel did not seem ready to be open yet. E.g we did not have a toilet seat when we checked in. I'm not a plumber, but I think they have sick pipes. Sometimes the water would be orange when you turned on the fosset.

Perfect for someone on a budget in a central area.

Awesome boutique style hotel. Beds were comfy and the WiFi was reliable. It needs a little more love from new management to be a very good boutique hotel.

No kettle or cups/cutlery in the room. Bar fridge also didn't close properly so it didn't seal/stay cold.

Beautiful rooms, great location. Very clean and followed covid procedures.

No breakfast because of covid, but we didn’t get the breakfast box sent to our room that is supposed to take the place of in person breakfast. No one (website, employees, literature they hand you at check in) tells you that the only parking option is $45 valet until they charge your card extra for it.

Disappointing

The design of the hotel was nice. It had good style.

This is going to be a lot. First of all, after arriving to the hotel's address detailed in the confirmation email we found the building to be empty and the doors locked. Taped to the door was a print out stating to go to another address a few blocks away. This was the first time I was informed of this, as I had received no notification or email stating the location change. Next, after arriving at the hotel's real location there was nowhere to park the car. Street parking was completely full, and the parking garages were priced at $40 minimum. The hotel offered vallet service for $45 which we went with because we were warned about street parking due to the dangerous nature of the location of the hotel. When we finally got to the room, we found that there was no air conditioning, no microwave, and no coffee maker. After staying in at 7 other hotels/motels/Airbnbs this vacation, this was the first to be lacking those amenities. Next, the door to the bathroom was not able to fully shut, and the shower took minutes to reach a warm temperature, and once it did the controls were only able to switch between boiling hot or freezing cold. It took a lot of time and patience to adjust the temperature to something somewhat manageable. Trying to fall asleep at night was another issue due to it's location being on a main street with constant cars honking, sirens, and people shouting outside. The website also described there to be a bar in the hotel but we could not find one. The next morning they offered a complimentary breakfast which included packets of dry oatmeal, which to reiterate were useless to us because we had no microwave. When we were checking out we informed the front desk that we'll be needing the car back and they told us it would be ready for us in 30 minutes, but we ended up waiting almost an hour.

Very comfortable!

The room was comfortable. The staff very friendly and helpful. Amenities in room - toaster, microwave, refrigerator proved very helpful since I came down with vertigo the first day and stayed in bed for most of the 3 days!

We would have liked your breakfast buffet and happy hour!

Superb

The hotel really seems to take Covid seriously and very good cleaning protocols are in place. Very clean as opposed to other hotels we have stayed at. Basic but functional breakfast. Central location.

Value for money

Rebooking via booking.com. Wasn't streamlined when I checked out and needed another night. Had to start fresh which seemed unnecessary.

The staff on the other days were helpful and friendly

On arrival the reception asked me what my daily rate was on arrival. He got very irritated with me when I explained I had only the full amount. O advised him to deduct the taxes and divide total amount by 3. He handed me a calculator and said I should work it out. I was horrified to be treated like that.

Good value & great location but bathroom needs updating

Nice building in a great location only a few minutes walk from the BART station for airport transport and from Union square. (note walk is uphill though). Airport shuttle service and luggage storage also offered. Price (unusually for San Francisco) included basic continental breakfast; cereals, mini muffins, fresh fruit, croissants, juice and hot drinks. Room was a decent size with two (single) comfy beds and additional small table and chairs. Also included a fridge. San Francisco is expensive generally but this room felt like comparatively good value for the location. Would stay again for 1-2 nights but not a longer stay unless bathrooms were upgraded.

Bathroom feels very dated- bath was not full size & was sunk into floor with shower over. Also needed an efficient extractor. My room was on the top floor and there was noise coming from the roof where there were vents. An upgrade to the bathroom would make the room and stay overall much more comfortable.
