The location is perfect to experience the best of what Vermont has to offer. If you ski, you will be hard pressed to find a better location to access a variety of ski resorts. We are 10 minutes to the world class Stratton Ski Resort, 10 minutes to Bromley, 15 minutes to Magic, 30 minutes to Mt. Snow, 35 minutes to Okemo, and 60 minutes to Killington. The town of Manchester is known for shopping and lots of great local cuisine. Whether you want to shop at high end boutiques, need a drug store, grab lunch, or need to snag some groceries, it's all 20 minutes from the lodge. There are plenty of things to do in the spring and summer as well, such as golf (4 courses nearby), fishing (3 state parks that have excellent lakes and fishing), farmers markets, wineries, multiple local dairy farms to tour, several summer outdoor theaters and symphonies, and hiking. Just make sure you allow a full day (or two) to soak it all in! You can venture from Wilmington clear up to Stowe on Rt 100 and will delight in the gorgeous leaves and the charming Vermont towns and scenery.
