And yet the condo is set far enough away from the main drag to not feel like you're too in the middle of everything. Location & Transit Info Bayfield is a very walkable city, so your best bet is on foot. We are just a couple blocks from all the shops and restaurants in downtown Bayfield. Off street parking in lot for one car. Plenty of street parking available, except during Applefest weekend in October. Less than 15 minute drive to Mt. Ashwabay ski hill, Big Top Chautauqua, hiking trails, beaches, and more. Public transportation on the peninsula is provided by the Bay Area Rural Transit (BART), more information can be found on their website. The couch has a pull-out sleeper with a brand new memory foam mattress that can accommodate 1 additional adult or 2 small children. The condo is located an easy walk to Bayfield's myriad charming shops & restaurants as well as the ferry to Madeline Island. It's also a perfect jumping off point to all of the incredible things to see & do throughout the greater Chequamegon Bay area. One of our favorite features is the wonderful community garden that is adjacent to the condo building. There's few better places in the warmer months to enjoy a book or just take in the gorgeous flowers & plants in this "secret garden" setting.
