Safe Haven has 3 bd and 2 bath with a large living room w/wood fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and large private decks to enjoy the fresh mountain air. No Pets. Bed 1 Queen Bed 2 Two Twins Bed 3 Queen Access to this home requires 4WD in winter This home is located in the Old Timberline Gated Community where you will have access to the conservancy area, both Sand Run Lake and Spruce Island Lake trails, an exclusive access to Dolly Sods trail head, Canaan Valley Wild Life trail heads and miles of maintained trails. Conveniently located to all the attractions of Canaan Valley, Thomas and Davis including Timberline Mountain by Perfect North directly outside the gated community, Canaan Valley Resort & Conference Center, Blackwater Falls State Park, Whitgrass Ski Area, Dolly Sods, and more. All Canaan Realty guests have complimentary access to the privately owned Mirror Lake Recreation Area. Enjoy fishing, canoeing, swimming, hiking, biking and more! Canoes, pedal boat, kayaks, SUP boards, life jackets and oars are provided at no additional charge to our guests. Safe Haven is located less than 2 miles from the lake....

We stayed here for a long weekend in January and had a wonderful time. The house was immaculately clean and so cozy and comfortable. We especially loved the modern kitchen and open layout. The house is near to skiing at Timberline but also lots of great hiking. The house is also in a neighborhood with private access to a gorgeous ridgeline trail in Dolly Sods (just a 5 min. drive up the mountain to a small parking area). We will absolutely stay here again!

The property is perfect for a stay to ski in the area. The mattresses were nothing fancy yet they were by far the best of all ski rentals my husband and I have stayed in, so we slept soundly and didn’t ache too much after a day of cold skiing and are very appreciative of that. There was plenty of room for us, and another couple with their young child. We have rented from this realty group before and every time they are extremely responsive and helpful with any questions.

We loved everything about our stay at Safe Haven. We traveled from different areas and had space for all of our vehicles. There was plenty of room for eating and preparing meals together and the table made for a great spot to play cards and games all evening. We all woke up well rested from the comfortable beds and appreciated the clean bathrooms for showering. Close to ski areas and local restaurants and shopping made it especially convienient. The property management company is extremely accommodating and flexible. We had a great experience. Thank you!!

It can be hit or miss with rentals in Old Timberline but this was a hit. It's a small three room rental but the space is used really well. Two smaller bedrooms and a full bath are on the ground floor and a master suite takes up the entire second floor (with full bath). The renovated kitchen opens directly onto a dining and living room area so the place feels bright and open despite its small size. The heating was great, everything was clean, and Canaan Realty is very responsive. Would definitely stay again. (Also great location with direct access to Dolly Sods about a 5 minute drive up the mountain. Huge +++)
