I wish you had more places to eat.

It was nice but I wanted non smoking and it still smelled the blanket at the foot of the bed stunk, no refrigerator or microwave which was disappointing , no laundry bag .

The hotel staff was cold and uninviting. There was no one at the drop off zone to help explain parking or where to even check in. The lobby reeked of cigarettes and was stuffy. The headboards were filthy and disgusting and we didn’t stay because they didn’t have another double bed room. The rooms all have a horrible rock star picture that scared my kids. We don’t gamble and only wanted to stay here for the affordability of it. But it was just too horrible and we left.

Loud doors kept me awake…climate control aweful. Set to cool 72, woke up to 84 and sweating.

Do not stay here. They have zero security and there is no way to reach the front desk or any actual person working at the hotel by phone. There were 100 kids screaming in the hallway after a party and every number listed on the internet using my cell phone and the hotel phone would not be answered by an actual person. Seriously- if you had a simple question or a major issue- you would have to physically go to the lobby to get help. Insane.

Check in was smooth, and staff was friendly

The air conditioner did not work and the elevators took forever. Also the ice machine on our floor was broken. We called front desk and it was never fixed.

The mattress sunk in when laid it sat on on o e of the beds. The air conditioner did t work our room was almost 80 degrees and could t sleep. When I let the front desk know she was rude and said yeah we are working in that. I said well I can to relax and enjoy myself and did t sleep hardly at all. Not very apologetic or accommodating. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

We stayed for two nights, the first night was horrible! I woke up several times during the night feeling itchiness all over. My nose was stuffed and I had a hard time breathing. I Finally got up at 5 am and took a shower because I was itchy all over. Turns out this is a pet friendly hotel, but the room wasn’t cleaned properly so my allergies were kicked into high gear! I moved rooms that morning but was told all rooms are pet friendly, and there were none for people with allergies like me. Second nights sleep was much better so it must have been a cleanliness issue.

The heater did not work and no hot water. I called front desk and they offered a potable heater but it never arrived. Room was nice but the coldness made it uncomfortable. Also they charge for parking which is not included at booking.

Overall the room was very nice. As long as u dont need any assistance its great. Customer service lacks at least the two individuals i delt with. I would stay again just do except any friendly service or any of your requests to be granted ie( could i have a few more blankets) the never showed up.
Also they wouldn't answer the front desk phone. It will just say something along the linea of this voice mail box has not been set up.

The temperature of the room is controlled by the frint desk, it was so hot in our room we were sweating while trying to sleep. I adled for extra cups and we never got them. The front desk attendant was rude. It smelled like Marijuana very strong throughout our whole floor.

Mostly clean, if a little rundown. Shower had trouble draining, and would have an inch of standing water while showering. A/C also was not operable had to open window to not be cooked while trying to sleep.

It’s not bad, but They are charging for parking.

For the price this was excellent value. Off season and midweek maybe the reason and the resort fee was more than the room! However despite the fact it’s still decorated as a Hard Rock it’s clean and comfortable. The casino was slow so everyone had time to chat. Check in was a breeze. Definitely coming back.

Rooms don’t really have heaters and beds are way too, either soft or worn out.

Great location for our stay. Could use a little updates like fridge and microwave. We had baby with us and no way to heat water. Bathroom fan did not work and it got very hot in there and cliset door was broke.

The staff was very friendly and our check in was smooth.

We asked for a non-smoking floor, but the entire floor smelled like marijuana. The pillows were very uncomfortable and the water in the room was costly.

We travelled with our 2 little kids and there was no microwave in the room or not even in the common area. They did not mention this anywhere in the website and the staff was not very helpful. We had to go to a nearest gas station to warm their food and milk.
There was construction going on, but it didn't bother us much.

No desk in room but it was good

We felt the front desk was rather rude, person helping us had a bit of an attitude when we were asking to check in a couple hours early. It was 1pm and he was still trying to charge up $50 for an early check in. We felt that was unacceptable when other hotels accommodate there guests. We understand that checking at 4 but 2 pm is the earliest but it being 1pm and still trying to charge us $50 is ridiculous.. forced to wait another hour in the lobby with an employee with attitude was rude. He seemed more interested in training his trainee then helping us out. Seemed like we where bothering him.

When we arrived the service was great. The rooms were very warm so we called the front desk and they said to open our window which you could only do a crack to get air in. I also called the front desk to see about getting a toothbrush since we forgot one of ours and they said they don’t have stuff like that. I know they are redoing the hotel so I guess we just go with it.

Overall...it's OK. Clearly going through a transition and has most of the hard rock decor up still. Room was clean. Check in was smooth and easy. Staff was helpful and friendly.
There are plenty of reviews about the heating/AC problems with this hotel. The heat is way too high. We turned the room fans off and opened the window.
Since our window faced the entrance, that meant hearing loud music pumped all night long. Even with the window closed, the music was loud. I don't know why they need the music pumped that loudly in the parking lot when there's nobody out there listening to it. Seems like an easy way to make the hotel more comfortable to guests.

Decent place, but severely understaffed. Don't use the phone, nobody picks up. Casino is more or less closed until the night time. They removed the big guitar from the front, fired half the staff, 3/4 of the casino staff and shut off the air conditioning and called it a day. All the Hard rock decor remains. A bit overpriced, but not a terrible room.

Everything is old and wore out, bathrooms are tiny, it was extremely hot in the rooms

Great stay. Hotel is dated but clean. Couldn't turn the heat off but staff worked hard to make us comfortable.

Loved this hotel, been staying here ever since it was still hard rock every time we go to lake tahoe. Right in the middle of the city. Loved the oyster bar which serves the freshest oysters! Will definitely come back soon! Super clean and friendly hosts

The Godlen Nugget, formaly the Hardrock, is really beat up. Their heating and cooling system did not work correctly. We were only able to get our room cleaned once after a 6 night stay. The room wasn't even clean when we checked in, rotten fruit in the beside drawer. I did talk to the front desk about this and they apologized and refunded all my resort fees, which was appreciated. They did say that they contract out the cleaning so have had issues with it. I have had similar issues in other Tahoe hotels. They did say that they are rennovating this summer and to try them again next season. Since they did their best to fix the cleaning issue and refunded my resort fees I will give them a shot again but am weary to do so. I am happy that they did their best to correct the issue and had my room cleaned immediately, but that was our last night there. Location is great and the Oyster bar there is a must try.

Good location, comfortable rooms. There is no mini fridge kettle etc in the room. They charge everything extra including parking. They smoke in the casino. Pool was not open, fitness was tiny.

My stay at this property was quite good, especially because the staff members were so nice. I had a lovely view from my 15th floor room and it was quiet and cozy. A very special thank you to Josefina Mora who was so incredibly pleasant and helpful at both check-in and check out.

Bathroom smells and no hair dryer and room smells too

This was a short family trip. The hotel is dated, girls at the front desk do the absolute bare minimum during check-in and check-out just to get back to their Instagram or whatever it is they were doing with their phones. Everything smells like smoke, next room people opened their windows at night to smoke during the majority of the night and all of that smoke filtered through back into our room. AC did not work, door outside constantly being slammed, chattering on the hallway... the list goes on. Won't be staying there again.

This is a very old hotel.

Okay, the lobby and casino are pretty decent here relative to Lake Tahoe. Not sure when or what all they've already renovated, but this place feels like somebody cares and that they're doing a pretty good job with an outdated facility. I think the room quality is kind of inconsistent so you might get a pretty nice room and you might get a really old room depending on what you pay. Staff was mostly nice and helpful and even went beyond a couple of times. The one thing I would ask this hotel and a lot of other hotels is to simply communicate to their housekeeping staff about who has checked out and who has not... if someone has not checked out yet "DON'T COME KNOCKING, DON'T SIMPLY ENTER THE ROOM, ESPECIALLY IF THE DOOR HAS A SIGN ON IT THAT SAYS "PRIVACY PLEASE". When I pay for a hotel room I expect privacy and I expect to be able to sleep in if I so desire. Not sure why they can't get this part right.

Checked in, was with family asked
Multiple times if we could be by each other in any way, they wouldnt, ended up in different towers.
Then got to my room, they put us in a smoking room when ww dont smoke. There were holes in the carpet from cigarettes. We did have a balcony which was nice for fresh air. our shower had NO HOT WATER. Was awful taking a shower, especially in the middle of winter. No ice machine on our floor either.
Overall experience wasnt great. I wouldnt stay again unfortunately.
