Food was not very good.

The front desk staff was very helpful. Room could’ve used a better cleaning. The refrigerator smelled like old food. The pool closes too early. Hot tub was dirty. We got locked out of our room twice in one weekend because the door battery died. We had to sit outside and wait for maintenance to come.

Room condition was subpar. Not what I expected a resort to be.

Rooms are way outdated, food is set up like a high school cafeteria with ehh food. Public washing machine had a half dozen fake finger nails inside along with unkown items. The pools are not it. The lazy river is the only positive thing. The parking garage was covered is trash and dirty diapers. Would not recommend.

We LOVE CabanaBay. Our only 2 complaints
1) the rough play going on in the lazy river, had my ankle twisted because of kids horseplaying and no lifeguard stopped them. The lazy river should NOT be for horseplay. 2) this is a FAMILY resort, and having women show their butt cheeks and butt crack is very inappropriate. These types of swim suits need to be limited to an adult only pool.

Perfect for families everything you need in house and well kept property

I always enjoy Cabana Bay. It is my favorite hotel in Orlando. This time I stayed in the Beachside tower with a view of Volcano Bay.

Loews should take their name off this hotel. Our room was in very poor condition. Ceiling falling through, rip couch, bathroom curtain barely holding together and faucet in tub hanging on my a thread. And here’s the BIG kicker of it all… I was charged 3 times the amount of our stay and still after a week I’m not refunded nor released from these extra charges. Stay somewhere else

The resort was beautiful. When I went to the room I was expecting the full window volcano view but it was the two side windows with a wall in the middle. I didn’t know there was two different volcano view. We were station in The Americana building last rooms which made it easy access to both volcano bay entrance and hotel water park. We had to walk a lot to get to the resort main entrance, which is expected due to the fact that is a huge hotel.
I feel this resort even though it was good it had cosmetic issues like messed up paint in the hallway, no water in the vending machines close to our room so we had to pay $4.50 per water bottle at Starbucks. Our hotel room also had scratch painting and old stained decorative pillows. This hotel needs some love when it comes to the resort rooms. I also was expecting a standing shower but we got a shower/bathtub combo.
I recommend that Universal update this resort. Maybe some other colors and new things. I know the feel is old times which is awesome but the rooms and hotels deserve to be kept in excellent condition.

Overall trip was great. We were upgraded from our original room which was ok. Would have preferred a ground level but didn’t effect my trip at all. View was great of Volcano bay

Everything was great I will definitely be back! We stayed just for 1 night. That said the In Room Coffee could have been better quality. The bathroom shower water pressure wasn't so great. And the brownie in the hot fudge sunday from the ice cream shop was a bit to solid and wasn't moist and chewy. But overall it was a great place and like I said I look forward to coming back. I'll stay longer next time.

My son is 12 and he absolutely loved it here. Staff was so helpful and friendly. Shuttles to parks were easy to navigate and the water slide and lazy river were so much fun! You do have to pay to rent a tube so if you have one at home bring it!

Hotel has cute theme and plenty of room at pool. Lots of fast food type food choices. No sit down restaurant. Decor starting to look a little shabby in room. Checkout at 11 but maid ENTERED our room at 10:45. 😳

About 30 minutes after we checked in the front desk texted to make sure we were having a great experience. We were! All hotel staff was kind and helpful. We couldn’t find our building and a staff member took us all the way to our building. The view was amazing! The room was beautiful! Already planning another trip back soon.

Huge hotel, felt like resort. Has everything you could dream of. Great for family trip. Bowling gets filled up quickly on weekends. For lazy river bring tub or buy one. Smores is fun to roast by the fire. Movie viewing is setup right outside of gym, which is very helpful. Bus shuttle runs to city walk every 10-15 min.

Security gates not working and broken.
Door handles to main buildings broken.
Some wheelchair door access buttons broken not working. Security card scan to open doors and security to enter elevator not working.

Very convenient for days at Universal. Rooms were spacious and clean. Lots to do within the hotel for kids and adults.

Cabana Bay is a really good choice especially if you are planning to spend time at any of the Universal parks. The two towers overlooking the waterpark has unbelievable views. All the staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The 60s vibe works.
I plan to stay again in the future.

Enjoyed our stay and the theme of the hotel. Sheets on the bed a little scratchy. Loved the pools and the lazy river except the fact you had to buy a tube if you wanted to float. Staff was friendly.

Cabana bay is the perfect resort for families with kiddos. I traveled with my 4 year old nephew and there was plenty to keep him occupied. In fact, it was hard to tear him to go to Universal Studios. It is a huge resort, so be prepared to walk for everything. I loved the elevator outside by the pool that led to our room. It eliminated the need to go through the more populated areas after swimming. The beds were comfortable. There were many food options. Some things were a bit pricey, but we just ordered snacks and drinks from walmart and had them delivered. It is quite a hike to the parks if walking (20 min or so) but it is a nice walk. We walked there everyday and took the resort shuttle when we came back. There was always a shuttle waiting and we never had to wait. They can get a bit packed. The heated pools were amazing considering the temp outside was 50-60 degrees when swimming. From the minute we checked in until the minute we checked out....it was an amazing trip. No complaints. A nice bonus was being able to keep our luggage at the resort after checkout while we enjoyed one last day at Universal before our flight back home

Really enjoyed our stay. Hotel location is perfect for a Universal trip especially early park admission and being right beside volcano bay. Hotel was very clean and service was great.
Only small faults for me beds i found to be a little firm (personal preference) but shower pressure was awful.

This is the third time we’ve stayed at this hotel. The rooms are clean and well maintained, we always get a great nights sleep in the comfortable beds! You get text messages from the staff welcoming you and checking your ok and checking out! We stay here primarily for the water park, even when we aren’t visiting Universal. We’ve spent the whole day at the water parks before and then watched the movie in the evening or the kids have played in the arcade, which makes it excellent value for money. The food is good and reasonable portions but you are close to Walmart, Wholefoods and restaurants for groceries or eating out/uber eats. Of course the shuttle to universal and early park access there also makes this a great option!

Very clean and nicely laid out. Liked how quiet it was. Easy and free transportation to the parks. Will return!

This property is like stepping back in time 70 years, but stepping back into a different universe where the bad things were scrubbed away. It's truly a magical experience if you want a peek into what the 50's looked like.
Combined with the perks of a it being a Universal hotel (free transportation, can use your room key as a debit card in the park, can have items purchased in the park delivered to your hotel so you don't have to carry them around), it's hard to imagine a better way to visit Universal.
The only complaint that I have is that the water pressure from the shower head in my room was abysmal.

I love the 50s theme.

2 large pools that are heated and felt so warm. Needed a second hot tub because the one there was small and always full. Breakfast and dinner options were great and not too expensive. There was always a bus ready to take us to universal studios. So yes, it was great! Rooms were a little lame with a view of parking lot. No working usb ports.

Our room was a long walk from the main lobby where everything's at. Lots of road noise as oir room faced the highway.

The rugs in the hallways are dirty and disgusting. My fridge wasn’t working so I called for maintenance. Waited 1 1/2 hours and they never came. Toilet wouldn’t flush and it smelled like a wet dog in the room. I asked for a refund and left. Never even stayed the night. Food at the Bayliner was gross too.

The pool and hot tub in our area was closed.
Also the salad in the cafeteria had green leaves with a lot of sand left in them- improperly washed food.
