My only complaint is they need a towel rack in the bathroom

The proprietors of this bed and breakfast were outstanding hosts. I would recommend this property to anybody staying in the Galveston area. The property is of the 1800’s era and has been maintained meticulously!

My wife and I spent our anniversary at this great B&B. The hosts were very friendly, excellent breakfast and loved the room. The location is perfect. Several blocks from the beach and walking distance to the Strand. We would definitely return.

This is an absolutely beautiful property! The main house is amazing as are the grounds, the food and the host! The carriage house suite is nice, but showing a little neglect. Nothing intolerable, but certainly could use a thorough cleaning and a few repairs.

Renee, Robert and Dexter made our short stay wonderful. We hope to visit agin soon. The food was amazing. The accommodations were just has described.

The Coppersmith home was beautiful outside and inside with lots of history. Renee & Robert were delightful hosts and the breakfasts they served were delicious. The house and room we stayed in was clean but the shower should have had more attention to cleaning the floor and drain. A couple of drawbacks for us was all the outside light and hallway light which filled the room we stayed in at night even with blinds closed. It was like having a big bright nightlight on in the room. The other problem we had was the bed in our room was extremely soft and having back problems made it very uncomfortable to sleep on. These last two issues should be viewed as personal issues rather than complaints about the Inn.

My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing weekend exploring Galveston with the Cottage at the Coppersmith Inn as our home base. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and provided us with a spotless and beautiful suite, delicious breakfasts and helpful advice when asked.
We thoroughly enjoyed our gourmet breakfasts and lively conversation with the other guests each morning! It was the perfect combination of privacy and time to reconnect as a couple and the joy of meeting new folks over delicious food!

The property is a piece of history and like walking back in time and imagining what life was like over 100 years ago. You are greeted with warmth and a love of the time period of the inn as well as beautiful Galveston. The breakfast was truly delicious and we look forward to visiting again. Thank you for your hospitality and making us feel at home.

This place is such a hidden gem . Our stay was a five star experience. From when we were greeted , by our host Renee , we felt a calmness and tranquility during the entire stay . Our carriage house room was very spacious and comfortable. The house is well maintained and the decor takes you back to the early 1900’s . For being such an old property, I noted that it didn’t smell moldy or dusty . The breakfast www absolutely delicious and so filling . They made a gluten free version and it was perfectly prepared. We definitely will return again .

Renee and Robert's pride on their home and in their work shows in both inside and outside appearance, delicious breakfasts, and most of all, hospitality! The other guests were lovely! I think that Renee and Robert's pampering sets everyone up to be in a positive and congenial mood!

I invited my daughter on a special trip. This is our last hoorah before her baby is born in June. Such a wonderful stay. Everything here has an elegant touch And we enjoyed e every minute of it. I can’t say enough about the host and her husband. They are excellent chefs, of course, but they are truly passionate about serving the Right breakfast menu And being the most kind hosts. Also she made excellent dinner suggestions. This house Really shows the love and the history of what Galveston had to offer.

My husband and I came down from Indiana for a getaway from the cold. Renee greeted us very warmly and gave us a tour of their beautiful home! The breakfasts were splendid, the room warm and cozy and we will highly recommend them. The house was close enough for some walking to appreciate the beautiful homes in the historic district. WONDERFUL!

The stay at this B&B was awesome. Renee, the new owner for about a month, is a fantastic chef. Our breakfast on each of our 2-night stay was 5-star. Our room was comfortable. Although there are a total of 5 rooms available at this B&B, we were the only 2 guests the 2 nights we stayed. Royal treatment. She gave us a tour of the house and each of the bedrooms. (We stayed in the carriage house in the back--very large and private.) On the initial Hotel.com review, it asks several yes/no questions. One was as a gold member were we offered a room upgrade. Answer was no because we had the most expensive room available. So, Renee received a frowny face and asked if our stay wasn't what we expected. Had to explain the question was yes or no and the details. Highly recommend this experience staying at this fabulous, historic home and being served 5-star breakfasts.

My husband and I stayed in the Victoria Room for Dickens on the Strand - the property is beautiful, and Rena and her husband were very helpful because we arrived at the property late in the evening. The two breakfasts were delicious and the all the guests had fun talking about what our places were for the day. We plan to stay next year and probably some staycations during the upcoming year.

were on point. We highly recommend!

Our stay in the Victoria room was nothing less than spectacular. We can’t wait to stay again. The upgrades, especially the pool, are amazing. Teressa and Derick are the perfect hosts. Do not hesitate to stay at Coppersmith; you will not regret it!

Stayed here to celebrate my 30th birthday! Highly recommend the Victorian Suite which includes a private balcony. The innkeepers were very nice and made sure I had a joyous birthday. Planning to stay here the next time I am on the island.

Our reservation here resulted from a mix-up on our part, so we considered just cancelling, but decided to try out this B&B, and we are so glad we did! Derrick and Theressa are awesome hosts, and they have done a lot of work to this beautiful house. The house was built in the late 1800's and survived the huge storm of 1900; not many structures in Galveston did survive. There are still a lot of original features in the house, from the hardwood floors to some of the transom windows. Where updates have been done, they are in the style and spirit of the original furnishings, so the interior looks like an elegant period home. They are still working on one room downstairs, but the redone dining room is fabulous.
Our room was on the second floor at the front, and had access to the balcony through a large, step-through window - a great place to sit and relax or enjoy a book and a glass of wine.
There are other bedrooms on the second floor, plus separate carriage house/cottages in the back. Outside is a nice comfortable courtyard with a nice seating area and a small pool (not full size, but big enough to enjoy) with a water feature pouring into it. A delightful spot to enjoy friends and conversation or go for a dip to chill out.
Incredible breakfast: french toast stuffed with cream cheese, egg with tomatoes and yogurt with fresh fruit - all delicious.
Thanks to Theressa's recommendation, we now have a new favorite seafood restaurant in Galveston (Katie's). Can't wait to go back!

Great stay!

Hands down one of, if not THE best, stay I've had in Galveston. For the price and value, I can't think of anything that was more convenient, comfortable, or hospitable than the Coppersmith Inn B&B.
2.5
Stayed in the carriage house in back which was very private and relaxing. We loved having some wine on the porch at night listening to the pool waterfalls. Wifi works great & good cold A/C for those humid days. The main house is just darling and since we were there mid-Dec it was decorated up for Christmas. The owners are completely adorable and were happy to provide sightseeing and dining suggestions. A lot of reviews talk about breakfast and I'm really not a breakfast person but it really was good, every morning I stuffed my face!
