It’s a nice place to stay. The facility was clean and right at the beach. The room’s flooring was a bit worn but the room in general was clean.

We found dog poop on the floor

First the positives: location. Right by the ocean. Price point: reasonable for a Friday night. Staff: Very friendly. The buildings and rooms are in good repair but showing their age. Soundproofing was poor. Parking was sufficient. Room was clean and thankfully without carpet. The worst aspect was “breakfast.” Really awful. Now I understand why the staff apologized for it the night before.

Super thin walls. Crazy loud squeaky mattress next door, late at night. Sleep deprived from that and then snoring!

Very helpful and accommodating staff. The hotel was very convenient, being right on the beach and within easy walking distance to restaurants and breweries. The condition is just average, however the room was clean and comfortable and less expensive than many hotels on the central coast. So...we were happy. The only staff that wasn't extremely helpful was the checkout clerk who didn't want to give me a paper receipt since I booked the room through Expedia. I don't understand that reasoning, as they still took my credit card and charged me on the spot in addition to a $50.00 deposit. Why can't I get a paper verification?? I know its right there on the computer and she's looking at it! I like paper verification for my statement reconciliation.

Has a good location, walkable to dining and shopping, could use a little tlc.

Very clean. It smell very nice when we arrived. The only problems i found was couldn't open the windows, so we couldn't get fresh air in and the pillows aren't good. Bring your own. But we had a great experience in every way. Will stay there again

Location, location and location Is perfect. It’s 3 mins from the shore! Walk to downtown and Pier. Old west cinnamon rolls, a must! Condition of hotel and cleanliness a low 3. Night Staff was very friendly when we checked in. My overall is a 4! As it’s all about location. Very comfy bed!!

Hot water issues upon check-in, But staff made sure we were aware and offered credits if issue wasn't resolved. Walls were paper thin and we had an unruly family next door. You could hear every word of their conversation. If we didn't have loud neighbors it would have been a 4/5 trip.

The lady at the front desk during check-in was so friendly and helpful! This is an older motel that could use some updating but the location was good. No frills but a decent place to stay close to the beach!

I really enjoyed the friendliness of staff. I appreciated them giving the kids and Easter egg at breakfast. My kids are 9 and 7 and we’re excited! Rooms were a little out dated, tv was slow to change channels, and screen door was hard to open for the balcony. Overall great stay! Very close to the beach! Great views!! We enjoyed them!!! We will be back.

It was a great location right next to beach and all the shops and restaurants. The room was big clean and comfortable. Even gave out cookies. The staff was great

My room had no hot water, so we couldn’t use the pool or go to the beach with fear that we couldn’t shower.

It was an amazing day and a half. The weather was perfect, and our room was perfect also!!! We love the Edgewater hotel.

My issue with this hotel was that a large group of guys, about 18, came in on motorcycles (I have nothing against bikers, my boyfriend rides) and basically took over the parking lot. They were making a lot of noise, yelling, playing music, starting up their bikes, revving the engines, drinking, doing burnouts. This went on all day long and into the evening. The hotel has a zero noise tolerance policy, but did nothing about this. We were allowed to check out a day early, I asked to check out 2 days early under the circumstances, but was told no because it was a few hours after the 24 hours notice. We had an 4 night reservation. Other than this, the hotel is dated, but it was clean. We had a nice view of the ocean from our window looking out sideways. The mattress was okay, a little hard, but the pillows were not good. The water pressure was low. I would have found it okay for a couple nights. I knew it was an inexpensive motel, but it had good reviews. It is right next to the beach which was nice. The first morning we went to get our grab and go breakfast and there was nothing left. I was told we should have asked for it. The hotel does text you to ask how everything is and you can communicate with them that way which was convenient.

The front staff was very friendly and efficient. Also very helpful. The room was very clean and rooms had everything needed to enjoy my stay. The beds were comfortable and had plenty of pillows. A+

Fantastic location, beautiful view, wonderful room. Everyone seemed nice. Could hear neighbors slightly but not a problem.

From checkin to departure it was great. Excellent location and fast checkin. We enjoyed the heated pool and the spa. Breakfast was two muffins, juice, granola bar and fruit in a to go bag. Enjoyed walking out the door and practically being on the beach. Will come again!

Great choice for a quick overnight stay. What’s not to love about a walk along the beach on your way to dinner.
