This vintage 1970's contemporary retains that '70's feel, (minus shag carpet, orange formica and avocado linoleum and brown porcelain toilets - those have been updated and upgraded) has a comfortable lived in feel. If you're expecting Hilton like spit and polish and no -rough edges, then please look elsewhere. The space is ideal for party's and special events which, now that Covid is in the rear mirror are again allowed , BUT there is an additional fee and meet the following terms and conditions: 1) Owner must be notified; 2) Permits (if necessary) must be obtained and presented at least three days prior to check in'; 3) The event and any related noise must end by 11:00 PM . 4) Fee paid in full prior to check-in. It's been our experience what what starts out as an innocent gathering of friends for a few drinks can morph into what, in the end, constitutes a party. Guests, so wrapped up in the alcohol fueled festivities and having so much fun, fall to recognize, and are often oblivious to how loud and boisterous they have become: Then there are the not-so-innocent get togethers, the purpose of which is solely to do just that: party hardy, So, we have arrived at a definition of a party. It will be deemed a party if the following elements are present at the same time: 1) stated intent or the use of decorations or other party related paraphernalia (signs, balloons, poppers, glitter, etc) or its a holiday weekend; 2) Adult consumables are present (namely alcohol or cannabis); 3) 8 or more people; 4) Loud music/voices/boisterous carrying-on after 11:00 PM. Pre-approved Fee: staying guests: $10/ea. Additional attendees: $15/ea. Post Party Fine: add $100.

It's a lovely property that served us very well! We held a small wedding and were able to host some friends and family. John was very accommodating the entire stay and helped us with the chair rental process, which was very kind of him. I gave 4 stars on communication because the VRBO app broke and we couldn't message each other, but that was no fault of the owner.

Contactless check in didn't happen, owner was there nearly 3 hours the day we checked in at 530. Didn't notice the dog urine smells because the owner lit up incense. The owner breached the privacy contract 9 times in the 16 days we stayed there. Ant traps were placed everywhere but I had a lot of ants crawling on me in the bed, just sitting watching TV I had ants on me. The kitchen was clean on the surface but when we went to use the dishes, the cupboards had an oily Chunky film and the dishes were put away dirty, all of them. My daughter (26) was putting her clothes away and found a used male pleasure toy and she nearly threw up, the owner seemed to think it is ok. The owner had a carpet person over early and he was waiting outside at 915, we left most of the day to our house (which had a garage fire, air quality bad) he finally text saying he was leaving in 15 minutes, we waited 15 minutes then headed over, he was still there for 3 more hours... all day we weren't there and still had to pay. The carpet cleaners didn't get rid of the urine smell so he had them come again the Friday before we checked out Sunday. All they did was spray neutralizer around. We are very disappointed in our stay. For the price, it should of been a much cleaner environment. I noticed that the only reviews are This place is 100% inhabitable. Shame on VBRO for allowing this property to be rented. Much Much more but not enough room to post it all. My suggestion is look elsewhere.

John, our host was amazing. Great communication and attentive to our needs. The property was fabulous! The house is just like it is described on the site. Out of the way, but still close enough to everywhere we wanted/needed to go. It was everything we hoped it would be My family had a great time and we highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a place to stay while visiting the Portland area!

Do not rent this property! The home was filthy upon arrival. Windows were wide open when we arrived and did not have screens and the home reeked of smoke. The refrigerator was dirty. There were beer glasses left frozen with disgusting material left at the bottom of the glasses. I spent the first night cleaning the stove and the kitchen counters because they were covered in dust and pollen. The windows were dirty - like never been cleaned - and the tracks were dirty and filled with cobwebs and dead bugs. The mounding was rotting off by the sliding glass door and was off on the floor exposing the rotted wood. The outdoor backyard table was dirty and had to be hosed down before we could use. We had to remove the chair cushions as they were faded, worn, and covered in mold. The screen doors had holes that were repaired with tape. We were there to celebrate my son’s graduation from dental school and we were planning on having a BBQ there. After seeing the condition of the property and the unsafe decking, we moved to a family members home. After leaving the property, the owner accused us of having a party there and billled us another $155 for the additional guest fee and “party” and stated the neighbors complained of a party there and we left a bag of garbage from the party in the garbage. We did leave 1 extra bag of garbage. We were in bed by 11:00 each night and never had more than 7 people at the home. We were outside once at 4:00 pm in the afternoon. Do not rent!!

My team and I had the most remarkable overnight at the Treefort house. We held our quarterly meeting on the back deck, and it was incredibly peaceful with the forest canopy surrounding us. The setting felt so cozy, it was like we were in an Ewok village! Not to mention, the house was spotless and equipped with all of our needs. We would highly recommend Treefort to anyone looking for a unique venue to host their meetings or events!

House was not as described. It was dirty and in need of repairs. One of the bedrooms had no light. When we contacted the host he said it was a faulty wire and we could jiggle it or just run an electrical cord from an adjacent room. All of the electrical outlets need to be replaced because they would not hold a plug in. The bedding for unmade beds was dirty & disgusting. There were beetles and ants everywhere in the basement. The listing said there were 2 king beds but one of those was a thin mattress in the floor with no bedding & no pillows. The outside railing was rotting and the entry door key was located under a broken handrail. All in all, I would never rent this home again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. It was definitely not worth the price we paid.
