I cannot review Ocean's Sound as we were given a room at a different hotel. We arrived at check-in around 12:00 a.m. due to a late flight. Check-in was a madhouse (to no fault of the kind workers). The people who were working did everything they could to keep the line moving, but people from the outside were trying to cut in line, etc. It was nuts. However, we went over to the front desk to ask about renting beach chairs in the middle of the day and there was no one in there. I would try to get to check-in in the morning.
The rooms were okay. Nothing spectacular, but were just fine for us. We are by no means high maintenance so if you are, I would look elsewhere.
Overall, we do plan on going back. Just know that where you book a room may not actually be where you stay.

Upon arrival, no one was there to help me out. The office is located two blocks down the street which I was not informed of. The room itself was terrible. It was dirty there were roaches the bathroom. The kitchen had no dishes plates, knives, glasses, spoons, or forks, or pots and pans. It was completely useless. There was a broken picnic table and a broken chair in the kitchen. The furniture was old and tattered. The floor in the living room was damaged. You do not have oceanfront or ocean view. The ocean is two blocks away. the parking situation was very confusing and very limited which they don’t tell you. I would not recommend anyone staying at this location it is nothing like the pictures on the website! I tried to bargain with the owner for a refund, and he was absolutely not cooperative at all!

Overdue for an upgrade, due for several upgrades, paint new furniture. Convenient location to the beach, but not worth the money.

Great location. Not a fan of the check in off site location. No amenities in room—-coffee pot with no coffee, kitchenette with no dishes/cups/etc. Would stay again & better prepare—-room did job for a place to sleep. Bed/bedding comfortable.

The Ocean Sound hotel is part of a group of small hotels manage by Hollywood Beach hotels. The hotels are on a great location on the Hollywood Beach area (one block, or on the beach pathway). They share a pool and the location for breakfast. They do not include parking, but for $19 a day they have a place reserved in front of your room.

Property is severly dated, and something to be desiered this Property is what you would expect in the worst side of town. Paint flaking from walls and doors, bugs and bug poop in window seals, also on towls. Beds are old and should have been thrown away durning Regans presidency.
Traffic all night up and sown the street. Just overall and very bad place to stay. Only positive is the location

Can not find Ocean’s Sound hotel. It took me 1 hour to find out the office. Finally, it is belong to Hollywood beach hotel. Room is so dirty. I will not recommend this hotel

The people that were staying in the property were very ghetto. Our room had roaches and the floors were dirty and full of sand. You can tell it was not cleaned or swept. I requested maid service and no one came. The people at the check in were rude and never answered the phone.

Just an awful place to stay at. The plumbing falling off the sink. No ice maker on site and to check in you have to walk down 4 blocks. I found that out after asking another guess staying there. Save your money

Casa Peregrino acceptable. The rest of the property awful. The personnel was excellent. No complaint. They helped me a lot and I do not have any complaint.

First of all, we reach the facility after 11 pm and we didn't found any signboard for the property itself,we used google maps to reach to the exact location then we asked a group of people sitting there ,we stocked after we knew that's is. Not meet the pictures at all , it seems that the photos were taken when the facility was brand new. It was very miserable.
We asked about the reception they guided us to next two blocks.
After we reach to the reception we met a very polite guy who understand our situation and with extra money changed our flat to Hollywood Beach Hotel flat number 104.
The new flat were better, it seems many hotels under one management.
The breakfast was under expectations and very simple.
In general , that area is good for beach and to enjoy walking and swimming.
No shopping, no grocery no transportation.

Loved the location! Very close to the beach and gorgeous boardwalk. We were able to save cash by cooking our own food in the hotel suite. There wasn’t a pool at our hotel but, there were several for our use close by. It was very easy to get an Uber or use the convenient ride.circuit tiny electric bus. I love this area and will definitely return!!
The only negative was the check in process was very slow and crowded. Check out was easy though!

The property is very close to the beach and the area is very nice, the board walk has alot of shops. The manger is very respectful and helpful, the front desk has very nice simle, the house keeping is very nice but i gave them one star because the lady who is responsible for the breakfast always grumpy and she has very bad attitude with all customers so it is very hard for any one to meet her in the morning in Vacation.

When we arrived it was early and check in was at 4 so we had to wait forever to check in so we decided to go to the room to see where we was going and we wanted to see it befor checking in. This place doesn't look like the pics at all . Granted we already paid for the room a few weeks prior so we tried to call expedia and first they told us to call the hotel to see if they would switch me . At that time we got to see the room. The tv didnt work and the tv stand had broken doors and food splatterd in the microwave and the floors were sticky.. we went into tha office and the lady we delt with was rude. The doors were dirty... sec room was bad and the widow locks didnt work .. it was so bad we felt uncomfortab

This is THE worse property I have ever been in. After checking in at 5 pm we were told our room wasn’t ready and had to wait additional time, she. We were finally let in the room and saw that all of the walls were dirty, the AC was leaking water & there was a completely broken window that was covered with plywood. This hotel is FALSELY ADVERTISING. None of the pictures look like the actual hotel and the lobby staff was not helpful whatsoever. The manager declined to give me a refund and only offered a different room even though the entire property doesn’t look like any of the pictures. We left and booked a different hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE. They are just trying to take your money.

I had a bad experience. The air conditioner was not working on the room 16.We called and they said the will be sending a maintainer. Wait x 40 min.nothing called back the employee that answered the phone told me she was change turn and the other person prior to her dont tell nothing about us wsiitng Finnaly I went back to office and request that aneed to be change to another room Rhe manager had bad attiude to help with provide us with a discount for the inconvenience. We were no able to enjoyed our day wi so many stress and walk back and for to the main office

I have to stay in other location because they don’t have room available on ocean’s sound, the place really old but for the price it’s okay, the bad part of my stay it’s that I found under the bed and table dog popo ,That’s was really nasty , I talk to Expedia and the hotel about that both just said I’m sorry…

The location is amazing. At check-in the staff were nice. I will worn you this hotel is nothing like the pictures online. The first room they punt me in was not cleaned there were personal items in the room. It was not good. Now the second room the put my family and I was nicer in the sense of the layout. But again the room was so dirty. I even asked for extra towels and some of them weren’t cleaned properly. Thank goodness I brought my own beach towels. That’s what we ended up using. The furniture is all stained, dirty working the walls are dirty with cobwebs. I took matters into my own hand and cleans the room myself to make it sanitary from my family. Thank goodness for DollarTree. Ceiling fans were not working. This place is just a mess.

We don’t require fancy-pantsy property just economical, convenient and near the beach. This collection of properties were perfect for us. There are always factors we have no control over - loud neighbors and snake detectors that run out of battery in the middle of the night but at this location the staff helped with our needs.

We actually never found the property. We used 2 dogs taxied and then finally got ahold of someone a”at the hotel” but they weren’t actually in America. We had to get another hotel and are still starting to get someone to call us back about how to get a refund since I honestly don’t believe that property exists. Total fraud!!!! Stay away!!!

Do not book this hotel by looking at the pictures. I promise you it is nothing like that or even close to what they show. Rooms are dirty, smelly, molded and there will be no room service. To clean their rooms they use some sort of chemicals which makes you go away from the property in order to breath. Save your money and do not book this trash.

I paid 120 dollars more than advertised for this . Granted the hundred is a security deposit that with any hope will be refunded . But the other twenty was for a parking pass that was not included in description. It took forever to find parking , and there’s two people checking in ten hotels . Save your time and energy dish out a little more for the nicer hotel .
