This romantic secluded retreat of your dreams boasts its own lovers nest, swing, designer decor in a two-story private home. Best for those wanting to escape from the crowds of the city and immerse themselves in tranquility on 43 acres of forest property with private hiking trails to explore. EV charger and Starlink. The guest house is located within 300 feet of the unique stone house of Mariposa where the host lives. This “Gateway to Yosemite” is only 50 minutes from the park. When you want somewhere beautiful, luxurious and homely that’s in a quiet mountainous neighborhood near nothing but nature and the quiet, this is your home. It is a 2 story home with designer aesthetics and basic needs for a quiet retreat. The guest house is within 300 feet of the unique stone house of Mariposa, where the host lives. You'll have the surrounding area, including the fire pit, private pond, and many hiking trails. You can use the carport to park away from the elements! * Access to hiking trails is limited due to the 2023 winter storm. We are working hard to restore it by cleaning fallen trees. You will be still able to go hiking, but not all of the trails are accessible. Host lives in the neighborhood and if needed can be available. Best way to communicate is by sending Airbnb messages. To get around the neighborhood and between Oakhurst, Mariposa and Yosemite National Park you will need a car. There is no public transportation or taxi transportation in the area that can replace car transportation and getting to the house. Yosemite National Park South Gate Entrance in Fish Camp is 1 h drive from Lovers nest. Yosemite Entrance located in El Portal where Yosemite Valley is located takes 1 h drive. Travel times get longer during weekend rush hours and holidays. The property is not fully fenced and is located in a secluded place. All of the soundings of Yosemite National Park including urban areas have the component of wildlife. Some of the local animals that can be observed on a daily basis include deer, turkeys, squirrels, hawks, and rabbits. Not as common animals to see but living in the area are coyotes, bears, mountain lions, raccoons, opossum, skunk, rattlesnakes, tarantulas, and scorpions. Poison oak and poison ivy are also elements of local flora. All of California including the Sierra Nevada area is seasonally experiencing wildfires which are natural occurrences in the area. Some of the species like sequoias need fire to reproduce. Wildfires are likely to happen between June and November. 1. Maximum 4 people, after 2 guests $30 per person per night. 2. Quiet hours from 10:00 pm - 6:00 am, 3. Outdoor warming fires just after scheduling! We are in high hazard fire zone, 4. Pets additional fee $100 per stay. 5. No cancelations due to smoke or air quality under 200 (AirNowdorgov). 6. $500 fine for staying at the property with more people than shown in the reservation. 7. $500 fine for noise complaint submitted to the police during quiet hours. 8. $500 cleaning fee for smoking detected inside property. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and at extra cost. Please check with your host. Unagreed late check-ou over an hour is subject to a late check-out fee of $100 per hour.

This property has to be my favorite vacation rental I have ever stayed at. Extremely clean, check in was easy, great distance to Mariposa and Yosemite and the host were extremely friendly! Great size stay for the price with informative recommendations on the area. The private drive port in great addition to the property; a must stay in the Yosemite area.

Very nice property to have a weekend getaway for couples. It was very clean and had a very cozy feeling. There was a chest full of board/card games and billiard table. Everything that we needed to know was already provided by the property owner in a guide. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who are looking for calming getaway.

I would so much rather stay here than anywhere in the park. The home was beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and perfect for a family. We spent 2 days in the park and 1 day enjoying the property surrounding the house. The owners were so helpful and they really thought of everything to make our Yosemite vacation a memorable one.

We rented this property while we were in the county to see Yosemite. Truly beautiful home that shows the owners care. The house was relaxing and beautifully decorated. Everything was labeled and they provided anything you would need to make the stay comfortable. My only regret is we didn’t have more time to stay.
