Nice place love the balcony on the river with colored lights

Very good experience. I always stay here when I’m in Gatlinburg.
Only concern I have which I have not had at a hotel is my 100.00 incidental charge went through as a charge on my credit card. Any hotel I’ve stayed at it stays in pending. So hopefully that is put back in my card.
Other than that , perfect service , great hotel. Right on the river.

The accommodations were wonderful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Every room has a creek view which it lite beautifully at night. Clean rooms. Bathroom area newly redone. We will be returning. A full length mirror would be helpful as well as a small table for the balcony. But please do not consider that a negative. We were very pleased. Also bonus that it is located just outside or past the main stripe and quiet.

I am just going to say that after reading all the BADD reviews on this place it had me weary about creating a reservation but I said hmm let me just book and make my own judgment bc EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT AND HAVE DIFFERENT Aspect on things! YOU CANT PLEASE EVERYONE SO I WENT AHEAD AND MADE MY RESERVATION &drove 8 hours checked in and got to my room and was veryyy impressed! The river in the back of balcony was very nice and the sound of it was very relaxing! The room was clean and EVERYTHING WORKED! We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed an extra night at this hotel! Please form your own review don’t believe the horror stories that you read on here about this hotel! My onlyyyyyyy onllyyyyy downfall was the ladies in the front office at check in seem to not be so friendly and didn’t provide the customer service I expected! She was rude & made me feel like I was a bother to her when I asked her a question before signing for my payment on my room but. I didn’t let her rain on my parade! KEEP IN MIND YES THIS HOTEL DOES CHARGE A 100.00 incidental deposit but what hotel don’t these days but hotels.com does not tell you that so just making sure you’re aware! Overall I’ll be back for my next stay here! TBH if your the bougie type, you may wanna go say at the 5star hotels with the 5 star pricing but for me I’ll be back here bc it was clean comfy great location and relaxing and great price ! I’m leaving pictures but don’t mind the guys in it😜

This place is a hidden gem. Every room has a balcony overlooking a very cool creek. Staff was great, quiet area, short walk downtown, clean rooms. It’s an older hotel but compared to some of the newer ones it’s very well maintained. Definitely gonna book again

We enjoyed our stay. Room was big and clean. In walking distance to downtown so no need to drive and pay to park or deal with traffic

It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. $100 hold on a credit card once you get there. It was very close to Gatlinburg that was the good thing. It was pretty ran down but cleanish. The blankets were dirty and stained... TV barely worked but that's whatever. We didn't spend much time in the room though.

The online photos are deceiving. It is a very old building in a great location. The room was basically clean but with an old musty chair. We felt uncomfortable in the room. The worst part was it was advertised as fully refundable on the 3rd party site but no so at the Inn. We reluctantly stayed because we didn't want to forfeit our money. The river view was ok but not worth it. I wouldn't stay there again.

This is the second year that my kids and I stayed at Bear Creek Inn for a night on spring break. Clean room, location is great.. every room on top of the creek.. awesome!

Rooms were dirty. There were bugs in our refrigerator. Went to front desk and alerted them of this and were supposed to have someone show up the next morning to clean around 8am. No one ever showed. Walls had chipped paint, dirty floors, hair left in bathroom, crumbs and food under the cushion of dirty chair in corner. Didn’t feel comfortable setting anything on floor.

The room had dirty floors, dead bugs on the curtains the chair is the room had a large stain on the seat cushion. The room smelled like cigarette smoke and it was a non smoking room. The towels smelled, the ceiling tiles in the bathroom were tiles open. The vending machine was out of water and there was no complimentary water or options for water to drink. The sheets were not clean looking. Would not stay again for $160 a night this was terrible.

Nice little place only walking distance from downtown Gatlinburg. The creek running so closely is wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless, would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Inexpensive stay -- how you'll feel about it depends on how much you value the creek outside the room, versus the subpar room itself. The creek is pretty with a relaxing rushing water sound, and for a few hours at night there are colored lights that add to the experience. The water itself is not accessible from the property -- it rushes too fast to be safe anyway. There's a balcony overlooking it from your room, which would be wonderful on warm days, altho there is no privacy. The walk to downtown Gatlinburg is doable for most in 5-10 minutes.
The downside is that the room itself was small, worn and not very clean. And my standards as a single guy aren't that high... The TV got a seemingly random selection of only a dozen or so channels, with no ESPN or many other standard options. No desk so I had to use the ironing board for my computer work. On the plus side, the wifi was very strong.
To be fair, I did get the cheapest room category, so others may be in better condition. However I don't get the feeling there's a lot of attention to detail here. But I have to say that creek is nice!

Beds were comfortable. Rain shower was very nice and plenty of hot water. Most pleasant was the amazing rushing creek and the relaxing sound of it even from inside the room. Room was nice size. Not a lot of the normal amenities but the site location and relaxing atmosphere from the terrace makes it a place worth returning to. Very old property but no unpleasant odor like musty or dampness.

Love the balcony with rushing stream of water...white noise of water was music to my soul.
Had everything I needed and didn't break my bank...great value.

Water pressure in shower stinks. Having long, thick hair, took forever to get shampoo/conditioner rinsed out. And temp of shower not very hot. Bathroom sink water got hotter than shower. A dirty washcloth from previous guest was on shower curtain rod behind curtain (maid missed) Other than that, for the price, you can't beat it. Nice location on creek. Easy walk to Gatlinburg strip. Clean enough. Staff friendly.

The room was on the first floor. It had a balcony next to other rooms. There is a nice creek going through the back. Balcony room we had wasn't very private but nice.

Quaint little place nestled along side a river with 1st floor balcony views. Approximately 1/4 mile from main shopping area. Rooms are clean. Property needs some maintenance repairs but overall felt safe and very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Very clean room. Beds/pillows were not very comfortable and shower had zero pressure so it took forever to rinse shampoo out. No closet at all for clothes. Other than that, the room was nice for the price. It is a little bit of a walk up to the strip but not much of an issue.

My husband and I decided to take a last-minute tip to Gatlinburg and found this little gem on Hotwire. The motel is just a short walk off the main strip and the balcony room allows for a super relaxing rambling creek experience! Check in was a breeze with friendly helpful staff and the room was perfect! comfortable beds nice clean bathroom, mini fridge and microwave all in good condition. We liked it so much we booked a second night.

Overall, the stay was fine. The hotel is very basic and bare minimum. It serves yhe purpose for a quick cheap weekend getaway. The shower had wonderful pressure and water was hot. Beds were comfortable. Rooms are small and squished feeling to me. The balcony with the river view was very relaxing.

There for the night to see friends, this was a little longer walk to down town than we expected, but close. Beds needed to be updated. They were uncomfortable! Otherwise the staff was great and it was clean.

First, staff went above and beyond to make it a great stay.
Pros: nice location, easy walk to shops & restaurants, clean room, great views
Cons: noisy truck both nights woke us up (backup beeps), neighbors smoking pot but staff addressed and they stopped, only a few TV channels worked, no ESPN on bowl day!

Paid $276 and didn’t even stay. Ram down and dirty. $70 tops is all this room is worth even on the busiest of days

Staff was nice when we checked in…the room was clean but the beds are very uncomfortable and pillows are very small …I’d suggest bringing your own pillows for sure. This is an old hotel but perfect for walking into Gatlinburg…15 min walk to Pancake Pantry.

The property was away from the main street. It was isolated. The room was dirty, it was a weird layout, the room had windows without curtains and the door to the balcony had a glass, no curtain either, the light that came in through the window did not allow us to sleep, as we can’t sleep with light coming through. The floor had spots and the garbage can was not emptied before the room was given to us. The place looks and felt like a truckers stop. Do not recommend this place!!

We thought we had booked another place and we were wrong. This place was terrible. The floors were dirty. It needed a good cleaning. The TV hardly worked and overall terrible especially for the price. It was waaaaaay overpriced for what ya got.

Bear Creek is our favorite place to stay in Gatlinburg! It’s close enough to the strip without being right in the middle of the chaos. The staff is always incredibly friendly. The beds and pillows are so comfortable.
