Hanscom’s was a wonderful, clean and charming high-end motel right outside downtown Bar Harbor. The room was new and clean, and we really enjoyed our stay!!

The cottage is very cute and cozy and easy to find. Close to downtown Bar Harbor. Nice self check in process. Only concerns: bathroom fan is very loud and disconcerting. Bathroom did not have a window covering and there are neighbors outside that window. Our solution was to steam up the mirrors in order to fog up the window!

We loved our cottage! We are on an extended vacation, Bar Harbor was one of our stops. Hanscom’s was just what we needed. Just perfect!

This property was super adorable and cozy. It feels like your in the middle of the forest with campfires for the guests to enjoy. You're close to the water and Acadia National Park. Unfortunately, we had to cut our stay short 1 day cause of Hurricane Lee and the hotel was super understanding and were willing to give us a refund the night we had to leave.

Comfy little cottage. Pleasant outdoor area to relax by the fire pit or enjoy a meal Also a short drive to the center of town. Would gladly stay again.

The accommodations were perfect for our stay in Bar Harbor. Lots of restaurants nearby and Acadia National Park was close as well. There were plenty of areas to walk our dog.

Liked that they had bright white towels and many of them. The outdoor area is nice but since it was raining we did not use it. The room was a little small for 4 people but for 1 night we managed. There was a stuffy smell so had to use fabreeze to freshen up the place. Bed is not comfortable but not big deal for 1 night. Kitchenette was nice although 1 burner did not work. There is nice path around the place to take your for a walk, which was nice.

This property is fantastic. The adorable efficient and scrupulously clean cottage was located just far enough from Acadia to be quiet, yet convenient. Great communication from property manager - before, during, and after stay. We especially appreciated the ability to stay only one night. Highly recommend!

Hanscom’s is truly a gem! Our room was was clean, comfortable, and efficient. They provide coffee pods, toiletries, and basic kitchen equipment. The grounds are under renovation but the fire pit and grill area they have recently finished is awesome! Less than 5 minutes from the entrance to Acadia and less than 10 from the village of Bar Harbor. It’s nice to be set out just a little ways from the crowds and noise especially after hiking all day. Take advantage of the beach down the road, it’s a quick and beautiful walk. We loved Bar Harbor and cannot wait to come back to Hanscom’s!

Great little cabin has everything you need for a short stay. We walked around the area and found a great sunset spot on the water. There are outdoor activities, grills and tables for dining. We loved our experience.

Our stay was great. The room was very clean, nicely laid out, well stocked. I just wish it were longer so we could take advantage of the property (private beach, grill and picnic tables).

We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the cottage very much. The bed was clean and comfy. The room in general was clean. We only had issue with the AC unit that was very very dirty as well as the blinds over the kitchen window were dirty. This is no way took away from our experience. The outside was great, two fire pits, one gas and another wood. Nice grills were there for use if you wanted. No one was ever in the office, I checked twice and the door was locked. I was able to track down a very nice lady who was cleaning to ask for additional coffee. I was able to get in touch with someone on the phone very easily when I needed to. We wouldn't hesitate to go back to this rental and in fact plan to do so soon.

Such a comfy bed and pillows! Comfy couch! Stylish and clean place. Ample towels. Had everything you could need in the little kitchenette. Only improvement would be a Roku hookup for the TV for Netflix. We loved our stay!

We had stayed here 22 years ago and loved it! It’s as special a place now as it was then. Beautiful property with quaint cottages, multiple fire pits and quiet wooded propeery
