I found the hotel to be excellent, the check in was very easy and efficient. My room was clean, cozy and well decorated. The overall experience was great.
5.0
The room was lovely and the hotel is in a great area with lots to see, do, and eat in a walkable range. The hotel staff were great and very responsive by text (not as prompt to respond by phone). If you follow the instructions for checking in, that process is a breeze. Be sure to read all the details and fine print before you book. And if you like some outdoor space be sure to go up to the roof if weather allows. Nice view.

The room was comfortable and decently clean. Thats wherw the good ends. Check in was a huge pain. EVERYTHING is done on-line. No front desk, just a concierge that didnt even seem to be engaged. There is a restaurant, courtyard, and rooftop area, but none of them were open or in use. No parking on site. There is a garage just north of hotel with car entrance and exit, but to enter the garage by foot, you must walk 1 1/2 blocks to enter. Parking rates are what the garage charges with no validations. For what you are getting and the lack of amenities, not worth the price. I am a seasoned traveler and have stayed in hotels that has parking and much better amenities for far less the cost. This is a Chicago Hotel cillections Hotel, but really shouldnt be. Not worth the value and wont be staying there again. VERY NOT IMPRESSED!!

Great location, excellent communication, cool themed baseball rooms!

Good location but the hotel doesn’t have a person in the lobby and was do confusing to check in. Had to wait outside in the freezing cold while trying to call the number no one was answering. Eventually housekeeping let us in and they were so nice. But obviously this hotel is cutting costs and not paying a front desk associate and making a housekeeper who I am sure works for below the average cost of living to do multiple jobs.

Experience was good; got responses to any questions we had quickly and everything looked great

This was a great space to stay. I was a little skeptical about the no guest services staff and having to call a number for something but it was probably smoother than a traditional hotel. The call center answered calls and texts quickly during business hours and they were super helpful. 6 soft drinks a day and unlimited coffee/tea made me feel a little better about the amenity fee.
Only few downsides but not a deal breaker by any means: 1) the floors are super creeky so I constantly heard the room above walking all over, 2) a group of other guests came in intoxicated and were yelling at me in passing in the lobby which I guess you could get that at any hotel, and 3) their automated system texts you a lot to check in on you, to do the online check in process even though you did it and then I got a checkout text asking for payment even though I paid everything. I had to call to confirm and they said I didn't have to pay and they'll take care of it.

NIGHTMARE. Booked for an overseas family member visiting for Christmas. Hotels.com was simple. Everything else was catastrophic.
Visitor was asked to send a photo of himself and his photo ID prior to arrival. He responded immediately, but got three additional emails asking again, then he was asked to send photos of me, MY ID and my AMEX. Why would they need these photos?
On arrival day, I got a barely legible email saying my credit card was declined. When I asked what amount was being attempted, i was given an amount higher than Hotels.com rate. They insisted there were "extra taxes." Charge went through (?) so I was supposedly "all set now." The agent said she'd ask about early checkin, but never called back.
Still no checkin info at 415pm. Received illegible email that my card was declined. I'd already been told the room charge went through. Now, i was told additional $125 was due (more than the room rate?) for "incidentals." This is a no-service, unstaffed hotel. What incidentals?
When i questioned this, the agent aggressively talked over me, shouted at me, put me on hold, and hung up. No response to my callback.
Lockbox did not work at 430pm, 730pm or 1030pm. Had to call emergency after-hours line outside in the cold and rain. Guided to another (unlocked) lockbox and switched to a new room at 11pm. Property then reported to Hotels.com that we were a "no show." What???
Other guests shared similar stories with my visitor. Awful hotel experience. NEVER AGAIN.

We loved everything about this hotel. From the nostalgic feeling it gave to the cleanliness and room lay out. Will definitely be staying there again.

If you are looking for location this is 4 stars!! We went for the Christmas pop-ups and it was a perfect spot for walking. It would also be prefect for a Cubs game as well. The only thing that was "different" for me was not having someone on-site 24 hours-a-day. Still not sure how I feel about that. We also were put in a room where the fire alarm kept beeping and after we left they told us it would be fixed. One member of our group came back to the room around 8pm and it was not fixed. We were moved to another room, but I thought, what if it was after "hours" for on-site staff...would it be considered a call to the emergency only line??

Staycation in Wrigleyville during the winter. Beautifully Decorated Baseball Themed Hotel. Very comfortable and clean. Texts are immediately responded to. I will definitely return in the summer!

Everything was fine EXCEPT the customer service/payment... Reserved room with my debit card on Expedia for "reserve now, pay later." When I got to the hotel I used my credit card. The lady at the desk ran the credit card. The next morning woke up to a reservation fee charge on my debit card, and a $58 charge on my CC. When I tried calling customer service, NO ONE answered the phone. I called 8 different times throughout the day during their hours but no one even returned my voicemail. Ended up texting the number that I kept getting messages from. They sent a receipt and there are like 4 different charges for guest fee, room fee, and whatever else. The person said they'll issue a refund within 5 days. Turns out they refunded the room fee to my credit card, not my debit. Luckily I filled a dispute with my bank. Hopefully THEY'RE more competent than the hotel "customer service."

Our room was perfect, very modern, and clean! We came up to stay for the holiday pop up bars! Perfect location for this! Receptionist was on site and helped us check into our room. Parking was about one block down, walking distance.. We will be staying here again!

The location is excellent. We received many emails and texts about registering. We checked in through text and that seemed efficient but our key did not work when we got to the

Everything was great. One room had a feint smell of smoke but everything else was fine.

My best friend and I did a quick weekend in Boystown. It was our first trip to Chicago. The hotel was centrally located for our purposes. We were about 30 minutes from the airport and easily accessible to everywhere else we wanted to go. The hotel was clean. We did not see many people but we were able to text with the concierge when we needed anything. The only downfall was that the hotel would only hold our luggage until 4pm on the day that we left.

Awesome room and location. Was easy to check in and check out and there was usually someone at the front desk to help if any issues arose.

I don't know why this place has so many bad reviews. We had a wonderful time. The location couldn't have been more convenient for what we were in town for. Check in was painless. The only thing that happened is we asked for a second key and later that night when we picked it up it did not work. Wasn't the end of the world just a little inconvenient. Overall, I would recommend and stay here again.

Parking was difficult to figure out. Would be helpful to have more info. on your website. Only other issue was that there was only decaf coffee in the lobby. Otherwise great stay!

theres NO ONE ON STAFF TO HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!! EXTREMELY IRRITATING!!!
having to check yourself in is.... insane. i heard from another hotel guest that this is a new trend: not staffing the hotel?!?! hate this trend and ill always check if someone is on staff to be of assistance and check us in etc and if theres not, i wont stay there ...
what if our key cards quit working (my biggest concern)???
not cool
when you pay freakin 250 a night and they cant afford or wont spend the money to keep someone there for people, ill spend my money somewhere else next time for sure.
also a major communication barrier! she tried to tell us where we could park and we could not understand her at all we drove in circles lookin for parking!!!!!!! also very irritating.
place was clean tho. and quiet.

Bed was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean. There was no refrigerator, no complimentary breakfast. Did not give us enough towels for two people for two nights. I prefer to be able to deal with people face to face.
The added fees are OUTRAGEOUS and unethical. Resort fee?? This is NO resort! The whole process was very complicated and confusing. Did not like this at all and will NOT do it again.

The hotel is good location. The room is not what I booked. We were to have a queen bed and ended up with two bunk beds. The check-in was a nightmare. I would never stay in this chain again.
3.0
Location! Location! Location! Awesome place to stay if going to Cubs game. Everything you need in walking distance in wrigleyville. Simple self check in. Different than all other hotels. Be prepared of the process.

Awesome place, so close to the stadium and night life, food etc. we parked in a garage on Addison for $60 which was good and easily walkable to this hotel.
Very easy to do the remote check in
1.0
If I could give zero! I would. I booked through a third party app. Got to the hotel not a single person working. Only communication to even get into the building was via text. For context I booked a King room for my wife's Birthday. Once I gained access what did I find?? A dorm room I kid you not, bunk beds BUNK BEDS.
No help from the staff AT ALL. I would not recommend this hotel to even Joe Biden!

Came to the area to see cubs game at Wrigleyville. Location was great, walking distance to everything you need. The neighborhood is so friendly plenty of places to eat drink and be entertained. Check in process so easy. Communication via text on how to get your room key and let yourself in. Room was a very nice boutique vibe. Only was there overnight. When I return to see another game I’ll for sure stay again.

Great Location

My neighbors had a long shouting argument in the middle of the night. Disturbing for sure. This is not the fault of the hotel. The stay was convenient and easy. Nice accommodations.

Very clean great staff 5 minute walk to Wrigley field. The table in my room needs to be replaced very wobbly and plastc covering was broken.
4.0
The room was good, I like the vintage vibe, and the location is great if you are in town for the Cubs. I’m not a big fan of the remote check in process. It involves several texts and it was a bit difficult to get access to the building prior to checking in to store our bag like we were told we could. I prefer having someone in person able to assist.

I love this hotel! But man, do I wish they had a fridge in room. Even a small one would be nice. Otherwise again, great hotel!

Nobody is on the property, doors don’t shut properly came back to my room and my door was cracked open, luckily nothing was stolen. Go into my room and my ac unit was leaking water all over the floor. There’s nobody that works there in the building so nothing you can really do if you lose a room key or need help with something. Would NEVER stay here again EVER

This is a great hotel to stay in if you are in town to enjoy the local nightlife. The surrounding bars stay open until 2:00am, and the pounding bass they produce was too much for me to be able to sleep until they closed. But if noise is not a problem for you, I think you will probably be very happy with this location.
