Nice, quaint place in a good location. The street noise can be a bit loud but it wasn't awful. The walls in the room are very thin so you can hear the other people in the adjacent rooms a bit too much.

A lovely property made up of 3-4 buildings each with a few accommodations. We had a 2 bedroom family unit that was very comfortable, clean and perfect for 4. The lodge is very nice and accessible at all times to guest with a fire, games, books and tea/coffe

The Inn is a quaint comfortable hotel. The 2 staff I met were lovely…..welcoming and kind. But the inside and out needed a good cleaning. Floors, windows, porch, blinds, steps….bathroom needed to be cleaned.

The property and staff are great. The room was nice and very clean. The only thing that was a negative is the walls are not very sound proof. We could hear everything next door and very glad that we had ear plugs. However, we would definitely stay here again.

I travel for work 270 days out of a year, and this is hands down one of our absolute favorite places to stay when traveling. The place is such a cozy little getaway, rooms are rustic and spotless. It is super quiet, and I conveniently located right off of Highway 64. Julia is so welcoming, friendly and our most recent stay she cooked us breakfast to order. She keeps the commons area beside the office well stocked with goodies for breakfast! How many other places do you get breakfast cooked FOR YOU? I surely can’t think of one. Thank you for such exceptional customer service. As always, I will look forward to the next time. Highly highly recommend.

Just what a mountain getaway stay should be like. Cozy mountain-look and feel. Clean! Amazing bed, linens and towels. We loved the “lodge” like breakfast setting. Lots of room, cozy atmosphere. Keurig coffee butler, stocked fridge with fresh milk and chilled fruits. You can cook your own eggs on a griddle just the way you like. We met wonderful and interesting people from all over. Lori and Heather (staff) were accommodating and available. The Sapphire Valley is stunning with lots of great hiking, good food and shopping. We say book it and save the “hiltons” for other trips. So glad we found this wonderful place! Owners and staff were so nice. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. They thought of everything you might need in your room! Chargers, noise makers for sleeping, beds super comfy! Can't wait to visit again!

Overall, this was a decent place to stay. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast area was nicely decorated. However, I think we got the worst room on the property. Room 302 is downstairs, behind the building, next to the laundry and dumpster. This room is dark and very musty smelling. The beds were not comfortable. That particular room felt like an afterthought and a place to simply book one more guest. We couldn't help but feel we got the worst room on the property. I think other rooms would be a much better experience, though we did not get to see inside any. Breakfast was...okay. The location was nice and right off Hwy 64, so that was helpful. We would go back if we could guarantee never to stay in that room again.

This is a great choice! Very clean, the staff is amazing, and we had a great time at the fire pit! I would also recommend making a reservation at Osteria del Monte next door and walk to an amazing Italian meal!

I have stayed at Brook Trout Inn numerous times with my wife and often as a family. The owners and staff of this hotel are amazing! Super friendly and they really want to do what they can to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. One unique thing about this place is the community kitchen that is stocked with all things breakfast that you prepare yourself. Though some may not want to have to cook their own breakfast, it is a way to talk with others about things they have done in the area to get to know about places you may not have otherwise. They have a Keurig for coffee in the kitchen and did in our room as well. We stay here whenever we can when going to the Cashiers-Highlands-Sapphire area!

If the rest of the staff were like Julie and her dad, they'd nail it for hospitality. With thin walls, noise from adjacent rooms (dogs, children) was sometimes annoying. Otherwise, my stay was fine.

The make you own breakfast options were endless. We truly enjoyed being able to have breakfast the way we like it ... we picked the inn for location to Lake Toxaway. It was a mere 5 minutes to the lake.

We had to leave a review because our stay was fabulous! We were so comfortable.They were so thoughtful to include everything you could possibly need. The owners were so welcoming and organised. The breakfast was special with eggs, bacon, muffins, bagels, toast and oatmeal. They even had almond milk. There is a lovely Italian restaurant next door (be sure to make a reservation). Be sure to get directions to the nearby waterfalls.

Nicely appointed rooms in neat Deltec building. Very clean. Excellent continental breakfast---with the ability to cook your own bacon and eggs in 2 minutes on an induction burner. Overall a pleasant experience.

This is one of the Best places I have ever stayed. I stayed here a few years ago also. It is a beautiful place. The staff is wonderful. It is very peaceful. The Brook Trout inn is within driving distance of lots of things to do.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating. My husband and I enjoyed the camaraderie in the dining area and meeting other guests over breakfast the morning after our stay. The evening before, we enjoyed a fire in the fire pit.
