This is a beautiful historic hotel. When I arrived, the building was nicely lighted, and music was playing. Nice touch. The entry area has a large fireplace. My late arrival was accommodated with ease. Room was comfortable, clean and shower was good. Concerns were: 50 minutes before checkout time, I heard someone approach the door and put a key in the lock. No knock or announcement. I said something and the person apologized. As I was leaving, a linen door on the landing was left open. I was carrying bulky ski gear and bumped a cabinet with antique porcelain tea kettles as I navigated to avoid the door. Thankfully nothing fell. Between the front door of the hotel and the steps there was a large placard sign with dinner hours that blocked the egress. I didn't have any service requests, but I didn't see any owners or employees at the desk for my whole stay. My hope would be a knock before entering my room, the linen door kept closed and the means of egress kept clear. Overall a very positive experience. I would return.

When I walked in I was welcomed by the sound of piano jazz and a roaring fireplace. Staff was helpful and friendly and so were the guests. This place has a homey small town feel and I would recommend staying here.

No parking, had to park a block and a half away from hotel and walk in snow, roof started leaking water during dinner in restaurant, no tv or radio in the room

The inn was very cute. It was on a busy road but had sufficient parking and nice stores nearby.

Lovely, quaint, historic building. Clean. Interesting surrounding buildings and shops. However, we were there on a Sunday, and the whole town seemed to be shut down.

Loved the place, it’s old so full of charm and perhaps not so easy, stairs, rumpled flooring but I like such places. Had dinner which was very good, has a nice little pub as well. Everyone I encountered was pleasant.

Staff was amazing. In house restaurant was very good.

A charming Inn. There is no elevator so be prepared to lug your suitcases up stairs. This place is adequate for a few nights stay

The Inn was so clean, lovely, and cozy that I slept like a baby. I had been greeted in the evening by a most lovely "Kate". The best thing way to describe the property is 'adequate'. After trying for two days to have the Inn Keeper take the window unit AC OUT of my window I gave up. Being in the low 40's at night with basically an open window wasn't ideal but worse than that was the fact I was 40 feet from the road and the traffic fired up around 5:15 AM. Couldn't sleep a wink past that. It's an old structure, so there are some things unavoidable, but ignoring guest requests don't fall under that category.

Very charming, the new owner is wonderfully welcoming and the decor in the great room and breakfast area is definitely worth checking out. Fabulous fireplace, and super comfortable couches in the great room, with games and papers and books to look through. Historical hotel that could use some maintenence in the room we were in, but was clean and comfortable. The bed in our friend's room was uncomfortable, but ours was fine.

Very cheerful and accomodating hosts, very clean, bed so comfortable! Good food too. We plan to return in the future.

You're swept away by the beautiful music playing in the stunning lobby. The restaurant staff seems like a well orchestrated ballet. Fabulous waitstaff. Five star. The lady who checked me in was very charming. Poised. Gracious. My room was a serious letdown. I gave ample time the following day to address the old carpet stains and the shower that was plugged and not draining. By 8:30 at night that had not been handled. It was not a fit for me. I was concerned to not be held to my original 4 night reservation. I was told by the man innkeeper I could leave. Now. He didn't 'have a staff of a hundred' ########.......to ensure me a spotless rug.... there was more... Very shocking, jarring, not PC. Did I HAVE a home???? Then...... "Go back now!" He was beyond beyond. She remained composed the entire time. It was a very intense, unpleasant conversation that was extremely rude, explosive,uncomfortable. Stunned, I was able to find accommodations immediately, and left. Presented my $163 bill for that one night. Never in my life of working for Starwood, and then Marriott for two decades had I dealt with such standards. It seems that there's a need to catch up, and what I sense is total Overwhelm. I was determined to reframe my experience of the first time stopping in Chester,Vermont. It seems the massive flood in July took a toll here, and there's the root of stress sensed in town. Hoping all residents regain their balance. Lovely restaurant. Don't recommend Inn

Some areas of the physical property need repaired. The restaurant food was very good with good service.

The only thing I didn’t like about this property was that it’s right in the “highway” and my room overlooked that road. The window didn’t close all the way due to the window a/c unit so the traffic noise was audible.

This inn was the most affordable I found in the area. It is located on a quiet main street in Chester, with a bit of shopping within walking distance. The inn itself is a lovely building, but it is a bit run down. Stair carpeting needed vacuuming. In the room, the bedspread had a stain on it. The room had a strange antiseptic smell. It was fine for the cost, but could be so much more with some refurbishment!

We found The Fullerton Inn to be a charming B&B. The staff was friendly, the room was lovely. We met with friends and had a delicious dinner in their spacious dining room. There was a large outside deck and breath taking garden. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

Arrived about 45 mins before check-in after a long drive from upstate N.Y. Front door was locked, rang bell and no one answered. Walked around and drove around and didn't find many dining or shopping options. Decided to stay someplace else.

If your looking for a cozy Vt. Inn this is it. No frills and very simple. The owners were totally accommodating to us, and very helpful to other guests within our group. Upon entry into room, numbered 24, it was obvious that the staff did a thorough job cleaning prior to our arrival. The beds and linen were both clean and comfortable and the air conditioning was more than adequate for our stay. We also had our traditional lunch there, and it was excellent with awesome service. Keep in mind if you are on the upper floors there will be some stairs to climb, other than that a great old style inn within minutes to numerous great venues.

I found the Fullerton to be comfortable and relaxing in a quiet peaceful New England setting. My room was clean and comfortable although there is no tv or phone (no big deal). Cleaning took place at your request, which I did not. Again no big deal as I am not that dirty. My stay occurred during a change of manager and I had the pleasure of dealing with the co-owner, with whom I developed a nice relationship. He seems to know what he is doing and he seemed very positive about his new managers/chef who came while I was there. Chester is conveniently located for many Vermont sites and towns. I have stayed in Chester my last four times I have been home to Vermont and will continue to do so. I am comfortable recommending the Fullerton Inn if it is a country inn you desire.

Price was right, but property was tired.

Historic property but not updated to the level the daily rate would imply: no a/c, no TV in room, small shower. Continental breakfast was minimal.

The staff was very friendly. We loved the stores and Southern Pie Cafe in the same block as Fullerton Inn.

Fullerton Inn is a fabulous place to stay a short drive from Okemo and Wild Wings Nordic. Inn keeper is very friendly and helpful. Lovely continental breakfast that was a great start to a day of skiing! Food selection at the onsite restaurant is varied and delicious. Tavern has a nice selection of local brews. We enjoyed being able to just walk downstairs after a day of skiing and enjoy dinner sitting in front of the fireplace in the tavern. Restaurant and tavern are not open Sun and Mon but are other options a short walk or drive away. Is a beautiful historic inn in a town full of VT charm.

Overall great property. Owners and staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very good - would have liked to have dinner there but wait for table was very long. Would recommend reservation for dinner. I would stay there again.
