The motel room was clean, small and quaint. There was no phone in the room. The Direct tv did not work (called the front desk a couple of times, but they were not able to fix it). The internet was spotty. It wouldn’t have been so bad if it was a $60 room. But it definitely wasn’t a $140 room.

Hair in tub and mini fridge. I had to defrost the mini fridge - opted not to use it because it never got cold. No in-room phone, flies in room, no housekeeping, dirty blinds, no hair dryer, "sketchy" Direct TV signal (2 days without clear signal TV), dangerously slippery tub floor, inconsistent hot water on demand, courtesy cups not individually wrapped and no extra blankets considering how drafty it was.

Enjoyed my 3 day stay, Devils Tower 9mi away, drove to Mt. Rushmore and back in a day. Friendly staff.

Property needs some sprucing up .

Nice, bare bones but recently renovated. Chris is a hoot. Coffee maker (Keurig) nice addition.

Quite comfortable and everything we needed. We we're a little confused by the sign requesting us to call to check in, and it was uncomfortable standing in the door way with bugs flying around my head., but we did check in a little late.

Very friendly
3.0
There was no one at the front desk when we checked in or out so we had to call and they checked us in remotely, which wasn’t an issue until we had a billing issue. I would have much rather spoke to someone in person about it other than over the phone. The room was clean other than for used k cups being left by and in the machine. But the beds were clean and comfortable, they could use new pillows though. The area is great though and the restaurant The Ponderosa down then street is wonderful!

Walking distance to food

The hotel is old, with a musty smell, clean, service is very laid back, no ice machine but across the street you can buy a small bag for less than $2. Go down the block and visit the Ponderosa Cafe/bar. The place is very friendly and welcoming. All in all I would visit again

It is a beautiful piece of property. Log cabin style. Considerate to all!

Lovely, cozy place
2.0
my only complaint is that the air conditioner unit had a insanely bright blue light that lit up the room and after I draped a hand towel over it, it was fine..
3.0
Never saw a human being employed there. You had to call to have your room remotely opened. No ice, one TINY piece of soap for two people. Very impersonal.

Nice quiet place . Rooms are a little old , a little make over wouldn’t hurt .
Overall nice place . Very close to Devil’s tower . Nice staff .
3.0
Nothing to add. Just a small hotel room in small motel.

Checkin was quick and easy. The chalet is not as new as I thought it was, but it is still good. A few minute walks takes you to a local grocery store, a couple of restaurants, bars and antique shops. It definitely supports the small time environment.

Nice small property.

A cool little resort style property. The cabins are cozy and unique. Would definitely stay here again if i get back this way!

We have cisited Hulett many times and the place we normally stayed was rented. We tried the Hulett Motel ad its a gem. Right on the river quite with an abundance of turkey and deer just outside our door made it a very enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling through.

Very comfortable, staff was great, and this little town is an amazing hidden gem! Only downside would be the units you can hear the a/c and voices at times from other guests, but the town and uniqueness of it all makes it all worthwhile. Highly recommended.

The room had 2 bed rooms and 1 TV. Beds were hard as a rock and the one thing is it had a new bathroom so that was a plus. We only needed a place to get sleep before we went to Devils Tower then to Yellowstone.

The stay was excellent - The staff is friendly and professional. The Room was very nice and clean. We were a day ahead of our travel and the staff assisted with getting accommodations a day early. Loved it and will be back!

The Hulett Motel was the perfect place for us. Our room, with the river view, had a great lawn out front that we really enjoyed with our dog. The staff was wonderful, the beds were comfortable, and the grounds were fantastic. We definitely want to go back and spend more time there!!

AC did not work. Refrigerator frosted over and didn’t keep food cold. Overall I would not recommend you stay here.

Great location with a handful of restaurant options within walking distance or short drive. Grocery right across the street. Very clean and comfortable for the price. 10 minutes to Devil’s Tower.

My stay was amazing. Great service, clean, comfortable, great location. I can't wait to come back.

I would gladly stay there again.

Outdated linens, felt like I was in a dark cave with only one small window.

This is the worst place I have stayed in for quite a while. It is old and worn. When I got there the air was not on and it took the window unit (yes, I wrote window unit) forever to cool the room. The motel promises Free HBO on its sign out front, but there wasn’t any nor was there CBS or ABC. The desk clerk bordered on snarky. She was totally unhelpful with the television that didn’t work at first. She stated that the restaurants were open until 7:30 p.m. Everything was closed at 4:30, so I had to leave town to find dinner. The face of the chalet I was staying in was worn and discolored. The stairs leading up to the door was scary. It is not worth the money they charge. You should avoid at all costs.

Very clean! Great hometown feel!

Pubes in tub, nail clippings everywhere, stains all over carpet, bedding was damp, and highly suspect there was mold somewhere as my wife and I both struggled to breathe and couldn’t stop coughing after only 1 hr. We decided to leave because we didn’t want our toddler running around in the filth
4.0
No hair dryer or Klennex in the room

Beautiful location.

Just passing through room was clean dry and warm
