I had an amazing time staying here. Highly recommend. I felt safe and the staff was so accommodating. Clean room and literally under 20 minutes from the airport.

The room was spacious and comfortable (great bed!) but the bathroom was tiny, had no shelves and no hairdryer. there were no hangers in the closet when we arrived, but the housekeeper was servicing the adjacent room and quickly provided two. just two, but that was all WE needed. Seemed sparse.

We found a bed bug in our room in the morning and they refused to even acknowledge it was in fact a bed bug and then as we were supposed to stay another night they offered to switch us into another room but had no plan of treating our belongings to make sure they hadn’t been affected. We opted to check out and they said we’d get a refund but I have to contact the third party(hotels.com) and have the third party(hotels.com) contact them to arrange the refund. I have little hope I’ll ever see the refund. Do not stay here!!!

WOW... and not a good wow. I have never been to a hotel that didnt even have a water dispenser in the ice machine room. No disposable cups for water from the tap even.... We had to walk across the street at almost midnight to buy a BOTTLE OF WATER from SUBWAY. How sad is it that you pay so much you cant even have a water bottle or paper cups in the room .... How was I supposed to even make the coffee.....? We had to take meds before bed... what a nightmare I will never stay there again this is just 1 of many wow moments at Travelodge.

this hotel is in a great location and the employees are fantastic !!! however is it so run down, its sad. at least its kinda clean

No-frills hotel. Very good location, with the lake close by and the very heart of Chicago at walking distance. Hotel is clean and bed was comfortable. Service was okay. I was there during St Patrick's and price was over the roof. I ended up paying 3x the normal room cost.

So gross do not stay here. Carpets covered in stains of who knows what. Service is terrible took me an hour to check in. No iron in my room. The iron they brought up was covered in funk that seared into my shirt and ruined it. Horrible experience stay away.

The price is very good,but you get what you pay for. The trains are noisy, the room was cold (but it was very cold outside), and the room is clearly very old. The bedsheets were perfect but not the carpet. I would however stay there again, because the price was so good.

It was a very cozy, very clean room, with free coffee in the room (very convenient for me!), steps away from where I needed to be, and with very kind staff. I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms was tiny. The TV only had 2 channels. The window was broken. The room was old and outdated and dirty. There was constant banging from something metal outside onto the building which made it hard to sleep, along with the street noise. Convenient location to sightsee, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

The checkin process was quick and efficient. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't a small refrigerator in the room. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was clean and in good working order. The only complaint I had was there was a cold draft emanating from the windows and there was no way to control the temperature in the room.

Baggage storage was restricted to 2.45pm that was very poor and made my situation very inconvenient and difficult.

Check in process was fine. Seemed to be in a run down part of the city so wasn't sure about safety. Other stayers were loud, very out dated. The room was ICE cold (Legit 50-40 degrees). After asking the managers to switch rooms, they said they couldn't and "That's just how it is" without any additional help. Checked out the next day as heat is a very basic thing to supply in a hotel.

First off they advertise they have "parking available". That's not true. Your options are the street or the parking business across the street that charges $65 for the night. The street parking is free only until 8am. The place is very old and creepy but we were grateful that the bathroom and the bed were ok. The bathroom was clean. The bed had very thin covers, I thought I had reserved a king bed but it ended being a double bed. I don't know how that happened. The room is very small and have not mini fridge or microwave. The TV wasn't working well at first but with time it seemed to warm up and the sound system worked properly for the hour we had it on. It was very difficult to sleep through the night! The hotel is beside the train tracks and every 2,3,15 minutes the train passed by and it was so loud. The window had an AC unit and it was leaking cold air. Overall it was a very disappointing experience when the hotel it's supposed to be "by Wyndham" and not a Red Roof or something like it.

Our stay was fine; booked primarily for the location and the price. Staff was nice at check-in and check-out, as was the security guard working the lobby. Room was ok - very dated, and smelled like smoke (even though a 'no smoking' room), but was clean. There was a 2" gap under the door that we sealed off with a towel for privacy and to reduce any hallway noise. Did appreciate the huge bottles of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower. Didn't have any issues during our stay, but would probably look to stay elsewhere in the future if prices were comparable.

Main issue was when I asked to check in early they did not give me any information. Instead they turned me away. Not offering to store my luggage or even to contact me when my room would be ready. Instead I was told to come at 3 Pm and not any earlier. My room was right in front of elevator and was noisy with few amenities.

Cleanliness is most important thing for me in any hotel. This travel lodge was very clean and smelled clean. The bathroom was spotless. Bathtub, sink & toilet very clean. The toilet paper holder was broke no big deal. Nice tidy comfortable bed. Nice size TV. We got early check in no problem. Use spot hero and find cheapest parking rates. We went to event at Buddy Guys Legends literally :3min walk. Safe. You can walk to millennium & Grant park easy. Anyway I will stay there every time I’m in area

Staff was very welcoming, the room had everything necessary with the exception of water temperature in the shower. It was either cold or excruciatingly hot. Please have someone fix this issue other than that. I will definitely come back for another stay!

If you can’t stand the sound of a train every 15 minutes or hearing every word of your neighbors conversations don’t stay here. For the price you get a shower and faucet with no pressure. No fridge or microwave. And it wasn’t cheap. Will never come back.

Ive never been one to complain however the heating system in this particular hotel was over 100 years old and hadn't been modernized. It sounded like we were sleeping next to a construction site. We barely slept because of the noise and I will never be staying there again.

You get what you pay for. This is a Travelodge, not a Marriott. Positives: the room was clean, the linens were white, hot water/shower worked well, the housekeeping was good, new towels / room supplies were brought in every day. Front desk was friendly. Location is very close to the lake, but the area is not the safest. Negatives - someone I never saw before tried to come into my room (on one of the top floors!) late at night. Had to call security and then barricade my door with the couch. Furniture is VERY old and worn out in multiple places. In-room coffee was cheap and didn't taste good. This hotel is next to the railroad, and doesn't have good sound-proofing, you can hear the trains every 5-10min loud and clear - hard to fall asleep.
