Our overall hotel stay was good, we stayed in an Alexander suite which was a good size for a city hotel and the spacious lounge area had comfortable furniture with really nice decor. The bathroom was also decorated well with a good range of toiletries, the towels are bath sheet size, which is rare. The carpet felt like it needed a deep clean or upgrade. What let our stay down was the service,particularly the staff on reception. Several members of reception staff were rude or curt, ranging from not acknowledging us to having two conversations at once. When we arrived we stored our luggage and said the wrong number of bags. The man on reception who was sorting this showed his annoyance at our mistake and snapped, "this is why I asked how many". When we were confused about the late check out time as the time given to us differed to what is stated on the website, we were rudely told, "I don't run the website". When they could have acknowledged this and said they would pass this on. The exception was the porter who couldn't have done more to help us, particularly when we were leaving and helped us secure a good taxi.

Felt it was ok. Nothing extravagant for the price you pay. $61 for valet parking each night is outrageous. Will say this has a great location for walking everywhere or hoping on a scooter or bike, touring the city. Some of the floors did not work on the elevator and I was stuck on it multiple times.

We had a fantastic time vising our nations capitol. Lots of beauty, history, and great foods. After a long day, we had the most relaxing time in our room at the Hamilton. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We dined at the restaurant which was fabulous. We rode the metro over to the Pentagon and Pentagon City for lunch.

Location, interior & exterior of the hotel are amazing. Beds are very comfortable, towels super soft and the room was spacious. The staff was really nice and helpful in general. We would stay again.
Two small things that can be easily improved
1. The lady who checked us in was somehow bored to talk...she was barely opening her mouth & she was so quiet and in slow motion, even when we asked her to repeat some stuff. In the end we gave up, went to the room and started piecing the information together. Weird first impression but didnt spoil our stay.
2. Please note that wifi kicks you out after some minutes of inactivity. This meant that our pictures did not upload to cloud over night (risky for travellers, in case something happens with the phone). I understand why potentially a hotel would want to do it, but it kinda feels cheap & limits such basic need as internet.

Great location. The lobby staff and front desk were excellent. It took very long to get our requests for extra sheets etc. we had to call several times.
The carpet in our room had a lot of paint stains. The suite was smaller and we did not have a view. Not an overall good value for money. Does not have a luxury feel to the hotel. Will likely stay elsewhere next time. Location however is superb.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hamilton Hotel. Our room and beds were very comfortable. I would say this hotel is in a great location. 10 minute walk to the White House and other locations very close to the metro which you can catch a train within a few minutes to any location in the city or outside. We use the valet parking, which was a bit costly, but it was worth it. The restaurant is very good. I enjoyed my breakfast there and we had supper one night there but there’s a whole bunch of places you can eat in the area. . I would definitely stay there again.

Rooms where nice and near, cleaned everyday which was good, getting in and out if tou have a car can be a 30 to 40 min wait with the valet.

An emergency arose at the last minute, and we had to postpone our trip by a few days. I was happy to pay any fees to change our stay dates, but the clerk was completely disinterested in our predicament and a bit condescending. A simple "I'm sorry, but there's nothing we can do at this point" would have sufficed. Fortunately, a nearby property was eager to book us. There's ample lodging in the area, so be sure to check out other options!

Keycard didn’t work well in the elevator. I was told breakfast was included all four days of my stay, then told only the first two days were.

Everything about this place was great! Very clean, friendly staff, valet parking, within walking distance to so many DC attractions, and the on-site restaurant, Via Sophia was excellent! Highly recommend!

I stayed more than hands full of hotels in DC area and this is the best hotel like.
I do not know why I did not looked at this hotel before. May be it is usually more expensive than other hotels nearby.
I will definitely chose this hotel if the price is competitive.
If I may wish one thing, I hope the restaurant offer more variety of food for breakfast and dinner and improve the taste.

The heat in the room did not work. I called the first time, and maintenance came about 15 minutes later. Afterward, he flipped a switch, and the heat worked for about an hour, then stopped. I called again, and maintenance took about an hour or longer. He worked on the heat, and it started, worked for about 30 minutes, and stopped. I called twice, and the front desk staff said someone was returning to work on the heat, but no one ever showed up.

The woman who greeted me was amazing! ( and had gorgeous nails..) so kind and thoughtful. Everyone else working there were also nice and gave me a great visit. I will absolutely come back!!

Very good hotel, very close to the White House and other DC attractions. Staff was nice and efficient, they gave us a room before check-in time. My one complaint is the size of the room. It has everything you need (even has a second minibar so you can store your own stuff) but the space is tight. We traveled for a week with two big suitcases and couldn’t really find space to open them in the room. Other than that, the hotel was really nice and comfortable.
