Room was dirty, a/c didn't work that great and the water pressure was awful. When it was stated to the front desk, I got a sorry but no resolution. For the price you pay, it could have been better for a Holiday Inn.

I booked the hotel based on the fact that the website showed free parking. But the parking situation was complete chaos and inconvenience. Other than that it was splendid and lovely. But we were under a time crunch to get to reservation for dinner so the parking situation led to anxiety and inconvenience.

This hotel had everything that a person would want or need for a stay. Excellent customer service and perfect location.

Great location

I would rate this stay 2/5. We were extremely close to the river walk and walked around everyday. We were unhappy with our hotel room function. I seemed to develop series allergies while staying/sleeping in the room. I noticed there was mold under the bathroom sink and AC vent. Our shower also did not drain properly and every shower we took, we were in ankle deep of water. Not to mention the dirty/sticky floor if we walked barefoot on the wooden/vinyl floor. Overall we did like the bed and comfortable blankets, but we thought our room amenities could’ve been more clean/nicer

When we got there the valet spent most of his time on his personal phone, didn’t bring us a cart when we started unpacking our car until we asked. When we got to the room it was cold and we were unable to adjust the thermostat, called the front desk and they said they would send someone up, we left, so I don’t know if they did or not, but when we returned the the room was warm, we turned the thermostat down when we went to bed, but woke up during the night burning up, checked the thermostat and it was 82 degrees and we were unable to adjust the temperature lower, so the first night was pretty unpleasant, we called the desk the next morning and they sent someone immediately and they made the repair and the rest of the stay was very pleasant. When we got ready to leave I called the front desk and asked for a bellman and a cart, I was told that they only had one bellman, but I could come to the lobby and get a cart which I did.Overall the the stay was good, just not the service we are accustomed to. Also, I guess the cleaning crew came into the room our second day because the trash was emptied, they took the dirty towels and wash rags, but didn’t leave us any clean wash rags, also didn’t leave us any pods for the coffee maker, so no coffee on the morning we left. Probably find a different place to stay on our next visit to San Antonio.

Very convenient to the The Riverwalk and surrounding area like Alamo and other tourist place. Staff was friendly and parking was right below the building which made it very convenient that you just get in elevator from lobby to parking garage vs other hotel that park elsewhere and not within hotel. Room is ok.

A great location to walk to everything. The pool was also heated … kids love that! The room was clean and the staff was friendly.

The room smelled horrible and was dirty. I complained and they gave me another one and it was the same.

Everything Nice

Anytime we go to San Antonio we stay here! It’s always great, easy access to the river walk and parking is convenient! Customer service is always great! Definitely recommend!!

The first thing as we were walking in, they informed us that the A/C in the whole building does not work and didn't have an ETA on when it was going to be fix. The only thing they could do was give us a box fan. They did offer to refund our money if we wanted to try book with another hotel. We thought since it was the week of Thanksgiving, there wouldn't be any rooms available so we stayed and use the box fan. The A/C was fixed by morning of day three. The only other problem I have with this hotel is that they pre-charge you for the amount of any amenities/parking. Instead of just waiting until you check out to pay for any of that. Kinda threw us off with that charge at teh beginning.

Location

Holiday Inn San Antonio Riverwalk is always amazing. Great staff, parking fees are reasonable. this day their AC was out and they were very communicative about it. we checked in late so there were no more box fans available, but it wasn't too unbearable. I still love it there.

Staff was nice , entertainment was good , but room had no ac , shower had hairs , room didn’t have a microwave and dresser drawers weren’t assembled properly so wouldn’t open and shut properly and tv volume only went up to 30 but bed was comfortable

I did not like that we were advised that there was no A/C at the moment we arrived. They offered to return the money from the reservation but it’s difficult to find good prices in the area for the same day. We also did not like the smell at the lobby. Attendance was very poor. We will choose better hotels for next visit, the night is not cheap and its a shame that service was that bad, specially close to thanksgiving day.

We did not stay at the property because we got there to check in and the AC was down and they didn’t know when it would be fixed. I’m giving it one star because there was no communication to us about the AC being down before we got there then we had to scramble and find another hotel to stay at

Location is great, but the premises are not well maintained. Service at the front desk was poor at check out. Breakfast was good.

Our check-in was prompt and efficient, thanks to Victoria at the front desk. The room was clean and quiet. The only complaint was that the restaurant did not have many vegan options for breakfast.

The property was well kept and clean. The best part of the the stay was the friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff. You have great employees!!

Helpful front desk staff. The room was a bit sketchy. The phone didn’t work. The sink stopper didn’t work. The bathroom vent was covered in thick dust. The toilet needed to be flushed at least 3 times. The pool area had no umbrellas and had minimal furniture and needed to be refurbished. The bed was comfortable but was EXTREMELY squeaky!

Access to the river walk and shops

I liked the location of the property, being right on the riverwalk was very convenient. The room was clean and it sufficed for our needs for the weekend. The bed and pillows were not that comfortable but as it was only 2 nights, we got by. If we had stayed longer than 2 nights, I wouldn't have been very rested. It didn't feel like it catered to guests really. I think it's only attraction is that being attached to the river walk.

I called in the morning to request adjacent rooms or at least that the rooms are in the same floor. I was told that they will be adjoining. They did not honor this even though the rooms were already paid for and I was told on the morning of the check-in day. Very disappointing that they gave the rooms away even though I called on the morning of check in and rooms were already paid for.
