What a PERFECT, dreamy, wonderful getaway. Just a stunning retreat from the world with every single detail so thoughtfully considered and available. This place DRIPS with luxury but also does it in such an understated, subtle way that feels elegant and cozy. You feel at home but also like you’re totally separate from it all. State of the art, sleek and bright, we will add this to our family’s traditions. Laura (the host) was super lovely, communicated with me and answered all my questions as I was arranging this surprise for my hubby’s birthday! Just five stars - I wish I could give TEN!

We stayed in the South cottage for three nights. The property is incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Very little sounds around you, except for the wildlife. 1 million stars at night. The cabin is extremely well appointed and decorated with everything you could possibly need for a wonderful stay, including cooking, great meals, which we did. The property is also extremely close to the popular, hiking destinations in Hocking Hills. We will be back!

Idyll Reserve is stunning with attention to all the details. We arrived to soft music playing and a complimentary bottle of wine. We had everything we needed for a romantic overnight and felt downright spoiled. Next time we would bring food to cook as access to restaurants is a 20-30 minute winding road drive and we would have preferred to spend our time enjoying this space more.

My husband and I loved staying here. The property is so pretty and quiet, and the design of the cabins are so pretty. They really go the extra mile in terms of cleanliness, and hospitality. When we walked in soft music was playing, and there was a bottle of wine and a gift bag. And the wine was a good Cab! I would come here again.

Our stay at Idrll Reserve 1 was fantastic! The place was clean and well equipt. We felt like it was a home away from home and immediatley started to think about our next stay here. The hot tub, sauna and firepit were great additions and nice to come home to after a day out on the trails. I would recommend this place 100%!

This place is really top notch. Everything you could want from a home away from home stay. Fully equipped kitchen with multiple coffee options, great WiFi, Sonos music system, easy to use TV - the list goes on.
The hot tub and sauna were a dream. Super easy to use and really well looked after. The fire pit was lovely and there are plenty of logs available. We honestly had the best 2 nights here and we’ll be sure to come back sometime soon.

Loved this place from the first look and it did not disappoint in person at all. Beautiful design for the cabin and the amenities were great. A sauna pod had just been installed so, on top of the relaxing jacuzzi, we definitely enjoyed that addition! I would gladly recommend Idyll Reserve cabins to anyone looking to get away and relax in nature.
Also - Shout out to Laura! I had forgot some clothing at the cabin and she was able to quickly locate and have the items shipped back to my home! Thank you!

Our group recently had the pleasure of staying at Idyll Reserve Luxury House Rental in Hocking Hills, and we cannot express enough how much we loved this place. We rented two cabins on the property, which provided ample space for all of us to spread out and relax.
From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning design and attention to detail. Both cabins are beautifully decorated and well-equipped with everything you need for a luxurious and comfortable stay.
The location is absolutely perfect - surrounded by nature, with breathtaking views of the hills and woods. The outdoor space is just as impressive as the indoors - the hot tubs, fire pits, and large patios were perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery.
The owners of Idyll Reserve are wonderful hosts who go above and beyond to make sure their guests feel welcomed and taken care of. Their attention to detail is evident throughout the entire property and their commitment to providing a top-notch experience is truly impressive.
Overall, we cannot recommend Idyll Reserve enough. If you're looking for a luxurious and peaceful retreat in the heart of Hocking Hills for a group of friends or family, this is the place for you. Our experience was simply outstanding and we can't wait to come back again in the future.

The cabin was a perfect little getaway for my wife and I. We were able to relax and enjoy the time to reset. The kitchen was great since we were able to cook almost every meal while we stayed. The bathroom was gorgeous and the hot tub was nice to have. We will definitely be back.

We absolutely loved The South! It was spacious and beautifully modern. The kitchen was amply supplied and we loved making coffee with the French Press as well as listening to records on the victrola. It was all we could have hoped for and more.

I spent two nights at the South unit for a solo retreat and had an amazing stay. They had everything I needed to cook all meals in, and the espresso maker and provided coffee was a nice treat. The bed was super comfortable and there were plenty of towels and a nice robe. I was really appreciative of the first aid kit after getting some scrapes in a hike. There could be a bit more privacy at the hot tub, as it was right next to the road and near the on-site hiking trail, but otherwise everything was perfect.

We had the best babymoon weekend at IDYLL in our special place, Hocking Hills! It’s absolutely beautiful & even though it was just us there, we constantly felt taken care of and appreciated all the details they put into these cabins. We cooked from scratch, we sat by the fire, & we enjoyed time to ourselves for possibly the last trip as a family of 2 before we become a family of 3 🥰

Seriously. This cabin is amazing! Equipped with luxury features like a gas fireplace, heated bedroom and bathroom floors, fancy coffee, and spa-like bathrobes, we felt like we were staying at an upscale hotel--but in a much more tranquil setting. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub, hiking nearby trails, and listening to some great music on the record player. You won't be disappointed with a stay at Idyll Reserve!

We spent the holiday at Idyll during extreme winter weather. We made it to the house under iffy conditions but the host had prepped the immediate surroundings for our safety and we were so pleased to find a few holiday touches. We were very comfortable and the open layout made our holidays much more inclusive. We were very pleased with the quality and amount of kitchenware available to us to accommodate our holiday feast plans! Our household has gluten allergies and we were relieved to see we didn’t have to clean appliances ourselves as they were well maintained and the basic ingredients included in the pantry were well sealed. We were there in sub-zero temperatures. We ended up with the start of frozen pipes, but it was quickly resolved even though the property managers were most certainly leaving their homes and families for us. Much appreciated. 10/10 would brave the weather for this destination again! We so much appreciate the attention to detail and the quick responsiveness we wish we didn’t require late Christmas Day! The only complaints I have were probably to be attributed to the freezing pipes and we just didn’t realize it until it progressed more. We were struggling with the dishwasher running cycles without really running the cycle (noises indicated it turned on and cycled), and we were losing water pressure. I was also concerned that the shower was getting musty from our family of four keeping it almost constantly wet in our rotations…but I think some of the water/frozen pipes issues were also drainage issues because once the pipes were tended to, the place the shower ended up drying out between uses a lot more. I wouldn’t bother to “complain” about this rather than inform about some of the quirks that may be associated with the space during an extreme weather situation. We look forward to coming back! We were also pleased with the amount of storage available! It let us use the space as intended without spreading out our daily living accouterments everywhere. This place was surprisingly inclusive for a family with some extra health concerns as traveling and accommodations are always risky, and the space also was so kid friendly!

My wife and I celebrated 12 years of marriage at idyll this past weekend. We have been using cabins for in Hocking Hills the last five years, and this was by far the best place we have stayed. I appreciate all the attention to detail in the house- the wood, the paintings, the books, the sound system, the hot tub, the shower. Well done. Given the chance we will be back!

A cozy cabin with gorgeous views! The kitchen had just about everything we needed, and we loved the Sonos system.
The a/c had a hard time keeping up with the hot and muggy weather despite our best efforts to cool the place down, but it didn’t take away from the experience!

Idyllic Stay in Hocking Hills
Idyll Reserve was a perfect base camp for our weekend exploration of Hocking Hills. In close proximity to Conkles Hollow and other excellent hiking areas, we were able to take full advantage of outdoor adventures, and retreat to a peaceful and comfortable cabin, equipped with high-end amenities, between outings. We enjoyed cooking in the open kitchen, which had all the utensils and equipment we needed. We warmed-up from the winter weather in the hot tub. We slept comfortably in the bed and pull-out sofa.
We wished the fireplace was easier to use. We didn't have success in getting it to light and didn't want to cause trouble by messing with the gas valve. The fireplace is an essential element in the winter! And, on the final day of our stay, an hour before check-out time, there was absolutely no hot water for a quick shower between our final hike and our drive home. These are seemingly easy fixes, and we hope to stay at Idyll Reserve again.

We had a wonderful time at the South Cabin. We loved all of the modern amenities. We enjoyed sipping coffee on the patio and watching the rain fall from inside the cabin. Idyll Reserve is in the perfect location for exploring the Hocking Hills area!

We were so impressed by what you are calling a cabin. Walking in, your eyes are immediately drawn to the view out the windows and the extremely clean lines of all the furniture. The quality and the high end of everything was beyond our expectation. And also the furniture was comfortable which sometimes you don’t expect that if it’s very modern. After settling in and actually noticing the decor we loved the old typewriter and the old record player but then you’re in with modern television behind a picture. The view from every room was spectacular. Probably my favorite furniture piece was the dining room table. That was beautiful . Loved the shower area and the floors were fun. Bottom line, we loved it. We were also happy to be in the first cabin. It was very easy in and out, easy parking for older individuals. Anything that anyone could possibly need you thought of.
The only issue was resolved very early when we had trouble getting in the front door. I did the code and fortunately one of your workers was passing by and helped me out. It turned out that the door was stuck and had to be planed down and then it was fine. He was extremely helpful and showed us how to work the fireplace and we could tell how proud he was of the whole reserve.
Bottom line you nailed it. We will pass on the word.
