This prime spot is perfect for relaxing, strolling the waterfront boardwalk, and enjoying local shopping and restaurants. It also includes free parking with its own dedicated parking spot in the rear parking lot. Enjoy birds eye views of Beaufort, Carrot Island and Taylor's Creek on the common area rooftop and midfloor decking. This is a 286 sq ft rooftop studio condo in a historic building in the center of downtown Beaufort. This unit has been completely renovated and designed and includes a comfortable queen bed with a Kitchenette and beautiful mosaic tile work in the shower and floors. There is a rooftop deck overlooking the harbor where you can enjoy sunrises or sunsets with your coffee or cocktails. It is the perfect location to walk to all the wonderful restaurants, bars, shops, museums and day cruises - use our free parking and not worry about driving until you have to leave! You are only a ferry ride away to the beautiful beaches of Cape Lookout. Also, you can take a boat tour to Carrot Island to sit on the beach, Sand Dollar Island to get bucket fulls of sand dollars or see the wild horses at Shackleford Banks. This unit is located right in the heart of town. Walkable to shopping and restaurants. Great location. No need to drive and has a dedicated parking spot. We were there for our anniversary and the owners left us a sweet card with champagne and chocolates. Very nice touch. Room was very clean and perfectly stocked.

We love visiting Beaufort and normally stay at a nearby Inn. But we have found a new favorite spot at Why Knot Getaway! It offered the perfect amount of coziness for my husband and me. The location was ideal for visiting shops, restaurants and bars that we like to frequent within walking distance. And the rooftop view with our morning coffee was quite peaceful!

My husband and I stayed two nights for a quick getaway. The condo was very conveniently located and was easy to access. The room was small but nice. It was clean and looked as pictures shown online. The mattress was comfortable and water pressure was excellent. The owners left a nice anniversary note and small gift which was very kind. I have two small things (not really complaints just annoyances) the air conditioning unit is very loud and the deck shown overlooking the water is not right out the door as I assumed. The air conditioner was so loud you can’t watch tv and hear. We don’t watch tv usually on vacation but I turned it on one night after dinner and couldn’t hear at all. The captions were on and we now know why! Ha! The observation deck is a shared space with the other units. While very nice and definitely has pretty views, I would have preferred a nice view from our window but it’s just of another building. All in all the condo is a great stay for a quick trip where you can walk to most everywhere you need! We enjoyed the little bar next door that was in the house next door backyard and City Kitchen!

We were in town for a fishing tournament so did not spend much time in room, however it was very clean & convenient!! We did enjoy watching the wild horses across the water while enjoying AM coffee on rooftop deck!

We really enjoyed our stay. The room perfect for the two of us, the location was terrific - we could walk almost everywhere, the view from the rooftop deck was beautiful. Communication with the owners was excellent - Julie was quick to reply to emails and texts. We were able to check in early. Overall experience was 5 stars!

The parking was very tight and worried about someone damaging my car, mostly parked out on the street and walked in. The security (coded entrance) was not sufficient as you only had to reach inside to unlock rather than use the code. The door to the room was very hard to lock. Lastly the tv choices were poor

I booked this location to take my wife on a relaxing birthday weekend and was not disappointed. It is a cozy and charming property. It is located in walking distance of restaurants and shopping. The rooftop views are amazing. I would highly recommend this property for any escape to Beaufort.

Just what we were looking! We've been to Beaufort many times and this was the perfect the place for us! We couldn't have been in a better place. Walked everywhere we needed to go. Top deck had the perfect view. Everybody staying there were so nice and friendly. They all were saying this was the perfect spot! Hope we will be able to stay here Everytime we come to Bueafort!

Whyknot is an excellent place to stay if you are in the Beaufort area. Drinks on the rooftop deck taking in the comings and goings. Close proximity to the ferry tour companies. Easy access to shopping and restaurants. If you are looking for a central location on the crystal coast, why not is it.

Basically a really nice efficiency hotel room. It's the location and view from the rooftop deck that makes this property. Walking distance to the local places and waterfront. I recommend this property to all.

I was very disappointed and learned a lot of what to ask next time. I have mobility issues and booked specifically for a place on Front Street. We had to walk around the block to get to Front Street. I also expected to have a view of the waterfront. We had a small window that looked straight into the side of another bluiding. We were there for five days and had 3 washcloths and three towels. I expected a clean wash cloth for every day. We did receive more wash cloths when I requested them on the third day. This was our first experience and like I said, I know better what to ask for next time. This rental is more suited for people with no mobility problems.

This fabulous getaway was perfect for our romantic birthday weekend getaway. The roof top view for breakfast and sunset cocktails was such a memory we will treasure for years. The location was walkable to every activity on our agenda: ferry to shackleford, fancy and casual dinners, and shopping. Thank you for all the wonderful details!
