About this condo rental

Nestled in Buffalo, this lovely condo for $150 per night is a great option for your next trip. Welcome to Heritage House, a fourth-generation family home located in Buffalo’s bustling North Park Neighborhood. This home was purchased by my great-grandparents in 1940, and my husband and I still live in the apartment upstairs! The interior of Heritage House is an eclectic mix of design elements from the past eight decades, an homage to the previous generations of my family who called this space home. The decor may be vintage, but guests can expect to enjoy the best of modern amenities! Heritage House is a full first-floor apartment with a private, keyless entry. Three bedrooms sleep up to five guests. The retro-inspired kitchen is equipped with everything you might need to cook your own meals, and the dining room seats six. Two bedrooms are furnished with brand new queen-sized beds. The third bedroom contains one twin bed and can also serve as an office, complete with a desk and charging dock for your devices. In the adjoining back room, guests will find a treadmill and workout space with a seating area overlooking the backyard. We invite our guests to enjoy our backyard garden, lush with organic vegetables, medicinal herbs, and beautiful flowers, all in the same space where my grandmother grew her victory garden while she waited for my grandfather to return during the Second World War. Please feel free to take advantage of the seating, and propane grill in the yard as well. Want to learn a little bit about my grandparents who once called this place home, and read their original love letters from World War 2? Visit "Seymour Loves Fannie" online to get to know them better! Heritage House is located steps away from Hertel Avenue, where you’ll find some of Buffalo’s most popular restaurants, antique shops, grocery stores, bars, street art, boutiques, ice cream shops, and an historic movie theatre. We’re also within walking distance to famed Olmsted-designed Delaware Park, the Buffalo Zoo, and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Martin House. Worth Mentioning: Our dog Penny does bark at the occasional passersby. We don’t discourage this behavior, as we believe it keeps our home and our guests safe from would-be intruders. Though it is usually brief, you may hear the barking upstairs from your space below. If you think this behavior would make your stay anything less than perfect, you may prefer to seek accommodations elsewhere. We live in the apartment above Heritage House. As a courtesy to our neighbors, we ask that guests not host parties or large gatherings in the home, or play excessively loud music. We absolutely LOVE animals, but our dog has some anxiety about other pets on the property, so we kindly ask that our guests leave their fur babies at home. A portion of the proceeds from every booking will be donated to PUSH Buffalo, whose mission is to mobilize residents to create strong neighborhoods with quality, affordable housing; to expand local hiring opportunities; and to advance economic and environmental justice in Buffalo.

Great location, near restaurants, stores and park. Off street parking a little tight wouldn’t bring a bigger car/pickup ect. Had a great time and experience.

Heritage House has cool, vintage decor down to the stack of 45 records, old-fashioned fridge and chic, comfy couches & formal dining room. We loved it: the rooms, the sunny backyard garden in the morning, the sitting room. My 2 sisters, my husband & I felt right at home in the house & neighborhood, with its many restaurants (Italian, American, Japanese, Buffalo grill + bars).

My daughter and I use Buffalo as our overnight stop on her way to college, and we've fallen in love with the city. This property is in a great location, with easy access to restaurants, the zoo, boutique shopping, and the highway to Niagara Falls. It's exactly as adorable as the pictures show, and we loved spending an afternoon in the sun room, reading and enjoying the cool breeze through the windows.

My friend and I travelled to Buffalo for the Buffalo GardenWalk 2023. If you enjoy gardens, this is quite an opportunity as the local folks open their yards to hundreds of people for two days. You even get to meet the gardeners and talk to them about their plants and hardscape. The Heritage House definitely has the retro vibe of the 1950's. It was quite nostalgic and let us experience what life may have been like in that era. The bathroom actually has a tub from that time and the refrigerator is also the real deal. The only challenge for us as we came in the hot days of summer was that the air conditioning listed was for the most part the open windows, (One bedroom did have its own air conditioner.) The neighborhood is relatively quiet and the people are friendly. On street parking is available. I definitely would recommend this house - you can easily feel the love that filled it through the years in how it is decorated and maintained.

Comfy and convenient, nicely furnished, great beds. Old house is nostalgic but can be a bit creaky. Many artifacts from the host family lineage make it feel homey. Could definitely use more functional space in the kitchen (prep) area and a refrigerator upgrade. Window unit makes one bedroom comfortable at night but the rest of the house can really get sticky in summer - it would be a very negative experience if using the other two bedrooms for sleeping. A second portable a/c unit would go a long way.
